Mark and Execute, Dead Eye, Bullet Time

Do you think a special aiming mode should be added for the game?

Splinter Cell has Mark and Execute, Red Dead Redemption has Dead Eye, and Max Payne has Mark and Execute. Would you want to see a criminal-themed version appear in GTA V?

I like the idea of special aiming modes, but I don't feel it would mesh well with the game.

None of this please, keep GTA as GTA.

In just a few minutes, I've seen suggestions for Kinect and PS Move being incorporated into GTA V and now this, what's going on?

Maybe as an option, but it's nothing I see myself ever using. If this was 10 years ago I'd probably be all over this idea too, but slow motion shooting just isn't as cool to me anymore.

I feel like it makes the game too easy to use Mark and Execute, so I say no.

Max Payne has what?

As for GTA, hell no.

I think he meant bullet time

Bullet time is the shooting in slow motion, isnt it?

Then definitely no. That would not be anything that belongs into a GTA.

While bullet time is awesome, I don't think its a great place for GTA.

I just hope V incorporates IV's aiming and targeting system. I liked seeing the NPC health bar around the targeting reticle. I prefer this to the minimalist reticle featured in RDR, LA Noire, and MP3. Also, unlike RDR and MP3, GTA needs to be in real time. Then again, what's the harm in a dead eye cheat for single player only?

I don't think that doing a sort of "dead-eye" in V would suit it. Maybe if you could do execution styles on people like in Godfather or more of those combo attacks you can do in fist-fights in IV. But having a type of auto-aim like that wouldn't really make much sense.

I don't want Rockstar to start adding bullet time to every game. It's been a staple in the Max Payne series, it was done differently and worked well in RDR, I don't think they will add it to GTA. The series hasn't had it before and I don't think it ever will.

You're correct but how do you know? You haven't played a GTA game this gen.

Dead Eye/Bullet Time as a cheat (or a drug), but it shouldn't be really important to the main story.

Splinter Cell - Mark and Execute

Red Dead Redemption - Dead Eye

Max Payne - Bullet Time

-------------------------------------------

This features made the games what they are.

Let Grand Theft Auto be the game that it is.

NO.
