Hey everyone I want to ask you one question do you want skills in V I mean like in gta san andreas weapons skills but in V they make it like 50 headshots with a m4 carbine and you get a scope or a silencer for it what do you think? Personally I would like the idea... smile.gif

i wouldnt care if its like in SA but in my opinion u should get any weopon type and upgrades for them when u can afford it with money u earned....its not MW3? (i assume, i dont play it, though) where u can only get upgrades with XPs....

You could buy upgrades with money but they are locked until you do something certain with that weapon

This is GTA not the Sims...

Is The Sims an rpg? No. You are saying that because it's an overused sentence.

I would say something like SA would be acceptable, but let's not make this Skyrim.

I would love to have to build up some skills, like the driving skills, swimming skills, or shooting skills. Sounds great! smile.gificon14.gif

I would like that skills too but it should not be a RPG

yay it would make the game last longer

It would be a fun activity (if you can call it a activity)

i want more physical attributes.

agility, strength, etc should all affect how efficiently your character moves, whether running, turning, climbing, fighting, etc. i'm sure euphoria's compatible with such flexibility.

I never liked that aspect of SA. I want all vehicles to handle as well as possible and guns to be as accurate as they should be from the get go. Why should i have my actual driving and shooting skills hampered in order to give the illusion of skill improvment only because the controls are no longer nerfed when ive reached a certain "skill" level? Its pointless and tedious.

Absolutely yes. Was dissapointed in IVs lack of weapons, let alone no skills for them.

Remember Niko was in the military. Would it have made sense for him to learn how to use a pistol? Skills are fine, but they should be skills the protagonist isn't likely to know like maybe a safe cracker or demolitions expert. Shooting and driving skills IMO are pointless. This part of SA made CJ feel like a dumbass that was so incompetent he needed to learn how to use a gun or drive which he shoulld've been familiar with already.

What kind of daft, stock response is that?!

I don't really recall this in San Andreas but it sounds sensible. I'm not sure it should be based on achievements (i.e. 10 headshots in a rows gets you X) but some kind of practice-based skill enhancement would be good. I'm sure some will say that you as a player should improve, not the in-game character, but I think a combination would suit well to account for the things that can't be simulated properly in-game.

I say nay. It was like the driving in SA, where the handling became easier the more time you spent driving. In IV the more you drove the better 'you' got at it, which I find more realistic. I found IV's driving infuriating at first, as I smashed into more objects than I missed. Now I can control the cars at speed & it is so much more rewarding & satisfying than last gen.

I think weapon mods should just be unlocked through their use in the story missions. It will be interesting to see how they implement that element into the game.

I am getting so desperate for this game, I'm trying to look for the positives in having to wait for the release of a new GTA game. Like the fact time seems to slow down, so it seems you are living longer. See, I told you I was getting desperate.

I'd like to see muscle tone return. nothing felt better than starting a new SA game, punching a random ped and it having no effect, then loading complete savegame and absolutely destroying someone.

Oh, and weapon skills. dual weilding was pretty cool. And if more weapon experience means quicker reload times etc, then that's good too.

Like zzmorg82 said, this is not Sims! If YOU are a good player, you have skills, if you are a noob, You don't have skills! Why do you need skill-o-meters? confused.gif
