Should realism of flames must come back?

The explosions and fire from cars in IV were completely revamped. A few touch ups will be what I expect in V.

I know something that if a vehicle is parked near a blown up car then it also blows, cool huh? confused.gif

I'd like to see realistic flames that last for a much longer time. It'd also be nice to see Fire Dept respond to fires again. Hopefully, we will see a realistic emergency response.

That did happen. I don't get the confused look though.

But why?

In gta sa, if we blow the gas point, it blows. I guess it must return. smile.gif

Interestingly, cars in GTA IV actually had no gas points. I seriously doubt that they couldn't program it...

By "gas point" do you mean gas tank? If so then that seem reasonable.

Yes, yes. Gas Tank. In gta CTW, there was realistic petrol which was used for Tourch. We can aslo do drive-by with moltaves in CTW.

Cocktails were in IV. Fire will be better in V as it is a major "action" point.

The trialer was with very less action. The story might be twisted one not go and kill one. But fire is a main element. Can we burn animals? biggrin.gif (joking)

Well, fire is a big element. The first trailer wouldn't show much action. And yeah, if animals are in V, like people, they would burn.

I'm a huge GTA fan, always been, always will be icon14.gif I remember in SA I torched houses and cars and ppl all the time with the flame thrower, and watched the fire spread around devil.gif I really missed that in IV. Even when there was 5+ cars blowing up and chaos in the streets, fire trucks never come, the fires just stopped nervous.gif

I think that in GTA V when we blow up a car the flames should stay there for quite a long time and not run out quick. I do agree on how GTA SA's flames where really good and now they kept increasing when you started a small fire. Burning Desire was a good mission that involved Molotov's and flames,it would be in good in GTA V that when you throw Molotov's through house windows a huge fire starts,as the flames grow and stay there for a longer time..

If by 'gas tank' you mean 'gas cap' then no, that was pretty ridiculous.

If you could flip a car and shoot the actual exposed tank to make it explode, that'd actually be a pretty nice detail. It'd rarely happen though.

But as fun as napalming stuff was in Pre-GTA IV titles, those flamethrowers always felt kinda lacking to me.

Write that down, Houser.

True. It wouldn't be all that likely to happen to shoot a gas cap and have the whole car explode. How you said it would be better.

Shooting a gas tank doesn't make the fuel explode. The gases would have to be compressed and mixed with air.

Thank you Mythbusters...

Ha Ha, yeah I remember that. The OP has a good point though to bring in gasoline into the mix. The possibilities would be exciting. smile.gif

I'm well aware. Standing on a car and stomping on the hood doesn't make them explode either. GTA says otherwise.

Why does planes don't have gas tanks as it works with a special fuel?

What? I don't know too much about aviation, but If I'm remembering right, the fuel tanks for planes are built into the wings and tail. At least for the larger jets. I don't think I'd like my planes in GTA exploding because somebody managed to chip the wing with a pistol.
