Earthworm Jim had a pretty awesome soundtrack:

A lot of people argue over which one was the best, SNES, Sega Genesis etc. but I prefer those ones (^) because I grew up playing the PC version.

Also Gothic 3 had an amazing soundtrack; one of the best in my opinion:

So far I've only seen videos of TLOU, but some of the music definitely reminds me of RDR. Ocarina of Time had a great score for its day.

Not sure if this has been said already but I gotta call out Hotline Miami, nothing like some epic 80's inspired tunes to some ultra violence.

10:10 M.O.O.N - Hydrogen

14:59 3. M O O N - Paris

1:21:40 Scattle - Inner Animal

Are like my favourites, but every track is a absolute synth gem.

Mirror's Edge: Provided by Solar Fields

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon: Provided by Power Glove

Hotline Miami: Provided by M O O N and Perturbator.

These all have lasting effects as albums you can listen to as normal music not just for nostalgia.

The 3 in the previous post are perhaps my favorites, but obviously I won't repost them.

These are probably the biggest nostalgia soundtracks for me:

Jak 3 I did also own, but its soundtrack got rid of the dynamic mixing of the track depending on your actions which made them so memorable, not that the Jak 3 soundtrack was bad.

Here's a newer one I love:

Really wanna see a sequel to this game. The world-building was phenomenal and there's so much potential for more stories and new gameplay.

Nah nah nah Gta 6

The Rayman 1 Soundtrack is a masterpiece.

What I like about the boss themes is that sometimes there is a drum roll to break it up, it makes a lot more intense.

It might not be Vangelis, but they still did an amazing job with the soundtrack. Awesome game! (That was the first trailer I think)

Playing through the Halo series in the Master Chief Collection right now.

Can't wait to get to ODST for the music alone.

Homemade Dynamite

Soulcalibur series has some excellent music, especially compared to other fighting games which just have generic electronic noises.

This is your character select theme in SCII, by the way.

When talking about game soundtracks, there is no competition for the original Quake Soundtrack.

No picking up hits from the shelf, pure awesomeness made for the game by Trent Reznor. Edited by YukiEiri
