Rjpro123
I loved the sa towns, it gave me the feel of more freedom. Chukkles
As long as we find a superfast dirt buggy in a trailer park i'm happy. Also a go kart out back of someones house would be cool too.
MrcTOtheJ
I'm sure there will be some small towns, I mean why have country side without them, the towns are needed as hubs of sorts between the missions that take place in the country. Or at least I think they are. I also hope there are some biger small towns to, though nothing super big, bust a bit bigger then the ones in SA. Rjpro123
As rockstar says it is the biggest game yet, pushing the ps3, Xbox to their full potential, towns will be amazing in the game and the beach in ls will be 2, but probably it will be blocked off till a mission or something. USAPatriot
The towns around San Andreas were my favorite part of the game. I didn't care for Los Santos or Las Venturas much, and parts of San Fierro were not too great, especially around the apartments on that big hill, very bland street. But the one thing I loved the most were the towns scattered about. All had their own unique charm. I loved to look at the store fronts and examine the history of each town and how it ran. Rockstar paid special attention to each town giving them their own businesses, and I really appreciated it. The history at Fort Carson was astounding, and sad to see a middle sized town like that fall so greatly, having every store front closed up. They had a courthouse in town, sheriff's office, and many motels that were built during the auto boom in the 50s and 60s. Sadly you could see the town was falling apart, with overgrowing grass, and a population far less then it should have had. Other towns like Angel Pine were very interesting. So isolated, and yet it was a county seat and the only town in it's county. Had a small sheriff station, local shops. One main street with lively businesses, and right off the main road was a sadder street of businesses struggling to survive. The towns hospital and mill were unique. The hospital literally being mobile homes. I loved details like that. Most of the towns north of Los Santos were neat and connected in cool ways. The only flaw I ever noticed was that there was no exit off Mullohand to Montgomery. I always wondered why. The exit would force you to drive to Palomino Creek then backtrack back to Montgomery. I remember recently I found a string of about three buildings which were enterable here, perfect for a runaway. One was a local store, a bank, and a laundry mat. The small towns had some populations I found "off" what they should have been looking at the towns, but it was interesting. Bayside was another favorite. It had a quaint little downtown and a nice seaside vibe going for it. The homes were big and they had great views of San Fierro Bay and the city Lovely little town that was in the hinterlands, but at the same time a suburb to SF. Blueberry had some "medium" sized town features such as apartments, which I found cool. I really liked exploring the town and the farms the the west of it. All the towns had neat features, including Palomino Creek which was a fav or mine too. If anyone actually read what I wrote, maybe it will have sparked your good memories of the towns. You could always find new things in them.
Rjpro123
yeah i agree the towns where amazing, i loved how you moved from ghetto to missions in the badlands. I hope in gta v they will do something like that. Maybe in some towns you could develop buildings and stuff maybe buy a town haha that would be chill. Zee
There better be some small towns, or even some other cities. The idea of hanging out in JUST Los Santos until 2020 or whenever gta6 is released makes me want to PUKE!
mediocore
Was I playing a different game to everyone else on this forum?! The countryside was a drag, there was nothing to do. The towns would have been all nice and quaint. If there was something to do in them and it wasn't as if you could enjoy the country air. You were looking at some choppy pixels. Give me big cities to explore any day!
Scampi
Can't say as though I noticed much difference in most of the towns in SA. They all seemed pretty copy paste to me, just rural settlements. I should probably go back and look again. One town that really stood out to me though was Fort Carson. It had that one 50s/60s style restaurant with the brick design and slanted roof. I saw so many places like that in the 80s still, but really not so much anymore. There's one similar where I live now but beyond that the style seems to have died off. That restaurant was always my favorite building in SA, just for how they were able to capture how accurate they looked in real life.
GRINCH ASS BITCH
I definitely hope so; I'm far more interested in the countryside and the towns in it than Los Santos. As USAPatriot said, each town had its own little charm to it. Another thing, it seems like most people skip over some of the northern desert towns. My personal favorite town is "Las Payasadas," located just north of the Verdant Meadows airfield: Used to own a house there on a role play server, very nice little town and it's out of the way. Death2Drugs
There better be some small towns, or even some other cities. The idea of hanging out in JUST Los Santos until 2020 or whenever gta6 is released makes me want to PUKE! Zee, normally a lot of people call you a troll, but this I have to agree 100 percent. I mean pure, urban jungle would get VERY boring, and fast. @USAPatriot What a great post. I agree that the small towns in San Andreas had a nice charm to it. Though the 3 major cities were nice, the small towns were a nice break from all the hustle and bustle of the urban jungle. Towns north of Los Santos were isolated, not changing. Palomino Creek had a "suburb" feeling. AKA, the type of place where you could buy a house and live there till you die. Angel Pine was the "in between" place. It obviously had better days, but clearly got visitors on the LS-SF freeway. The desert towns showed that they were once charming towns where settlers could live, but they simply had a "flight" from it after a lot of people decided to live in the big cities. Bayside was similar to Palomino Creek. It had a nice "suburb" feeling. You could get a nice view of SF and get away from all that city. Since Southern California is filled with a lot of towns that are "small", charming, "subrby", etc, I really hope these get featured in San Andreas. I hope that you can cruise in the mountains, and hopefully get a safe house.

And for people who love the coutryside or love the concrete jungle, I hope V will offer us both to explore. I really hope R* won't make Los Santos to small.
