Im not an angry person, nor depressed. I have lots of friends and a great family! Politicians prey on the mentally unstable who play violent games dammit! Slamman
It's spelled wrong in the Fox screenie too, I found out in my comments about her, she's from and lives in Minnesota. We're conservative and as a State voted for President Obama over all, our Senator, Al Franken (SNL!!) had a hard time getting elected over Norm Coleman and a recount was done, but Michele Bachmann is pretty dang nutty. I ran across a supporter of hers though, and I like the guy, but he couldn't be swayed. Women voters seem to like Bachmann for President, but she's slipped way back since the Iowa strawpoll saw her as a potential leading candidate. Imagine Bachmann in the GOP lead for President... First Woman President of the USA!!!?? Kinda scary!
Zee
No. No one cares about GTA anymore. After Hot Coffee R* got their balls cut off, thats why Niko is such a bitch with sayng things like "sorry" and how IV is overall less offensive or edgy than III era games. Probably the most watered down, corporate and "focus group" influenced title in the entire series

Also, to agree with Slamman, I really don't get how some people say Niko saying sorry to people he's just run down is a "watering down" of the series. It's quite obvious from the way he says it that he doesn't mean it seriously, and since when did apologising make manslaughter any more palatable anyway? But to partially agree with Zee, the media has mostly gotten over its obsession with violent video games corrurpting our youth. I don't know why, it would appear they just got bored of the topic. I agree. It seems that many violent video games generally don't get ripped on anymore because no one cares. Fox News and other news agencies have "bigger" problems to cover. --Vega--
Had a nice laugh at that faked screenshot. Games are the least brainwashing of anything out there today. Take all the crap they have in reality TV out first before they start bashing games like GTA. The ideals in those shows are far worse to society than a game. Killjoy2018
the aforementioned sh*tstorm is part of the charm. hell if it wasn't for GTA i'd have probably snapped and killed a few people. more civilians need to use their brains and realize "if we can take out our rage on videogames so we wont get into trouble, we don't need to go out and kill people cause we're angry" the peds on every GTA game has taken the pain i've been through thanks to bullying and other events in my life. long live GTA for allowing me to be a sane person! painISgreatness
they'll probably blame violence for everything, and say that because of GTA people kill others.. total bullsh*t.. we need pain in our lives, people need pain if they dont have it they will take everything for granted
TheGreene2010
f*ck the media. Thank you, besides... the media is one sided. So of course they are going to try to put down GTA V.
LoveMediaExecutive
Grand Theft Auto is going to get slammed in the media, like it or not. But in the end it has and never will amount to nothing other than more sales, the media knows that along with those sales comes many angry gamers flipping onto their schlock programs to curse and rant, we give them what they want if we pay too much attention to them I.E. "Ratings", politicians can complain as well and cause a fuss but they end up finding bigger fish to fry than videogames, in these times especially with both parties treading on thin ice. Magic_Al
"The media" isn't all negative. GTA generates enough hype that TV comedy shows acknowledge the release of a new GTA as a mainstream event. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, obviously fans of GTA, did skits sending their correspondents to "San Andreas" and "Liberty City". SNL did a Weekend Update skit with Niko and Vlad. Ratone
GTA is getting less and less "Polemical" with every new game. I doubt this one will generate any significant backlash. I remember when Hot Coffee backlash happened. Man, I was amazed... Back in the days of GTA 1, the media would only have to play the first 10 seconds to try to ban the game, on San Andreas a dude needed to hack the game for it to be screwed. This is well said. Isn't it strange though that the media, for the most part, focuses on the sex more than the violence. The supreme court within the past year said that pornography was "obscene" but simulated violence was not. That means they think that the life giving act is obscene and the death giving act is not. Shows how their minds work.

Slamman
What religion are you talking about? Organized Religion?? That's offensive to people who happen to be religious.
