TLOU Hacking!

This can be done on any PS3.

But I recently bought another PS3 to jailbreak so me and a friend can see how much more we can do.

I wonder what this would be like when Ellie has to fight David..

Conserve your shivs for opening doors only. Try to sneak past enemies. Conserve your bullets and bombs as you will need to use a lot at one point. Pm me and I'll say where as on my phone and can't do spoiler tags.

I just had a weird glitch. I was in the suburbs almost into the snipers house and my pistols disappeared. After the whole cutscene, they were back again. I thought I was gonna have to start over. Whew

More hax and side effects to the haxing.

I have a feeling TLOU is the only game you ever and will play. I can't imagine how many times you've finished the story.

TLOU is probably the last game I will play until AC Unity. Simply because I tried playing something else and I realized that TLOU ruined my older games for me

My first actual mod. Now Ellie can wear her palm tree shirt in any chapter!

I know there alot of passionate TLOU players on here. I just had a question which you all may be the only ones able to answer. Are there any optional conversations on the game that doesn't count for the trophy for all optional conversations, they are not really hidden or anything, and not Ellie's Jokes of course. I found one in the Financial District in Pittsburg where four or five dead soldiers are laying against a brick wall that spawns an optional conversation with Ellie that doesn't count for the trophy, right before the optional conversation where Ellie talks about the military prep school. So instead of 10 that are listed on all the guides for Pittsburg, there is really 11. Just curious if anyone found anymore other than that one. Thanks for the feedback in advance.

Man, the 1.09 patch was a f*cking hassle to download. It took my PS3 over an hour just to download a 169 mb patch. It wasn't slow with any other patches.

Just started my first playthrough two days ago on survival mode. I have entered the school right now. So far the survival feeling is great. Every brick, every knife, every bullet, every arrow counts.

Does anyone know if the bottles and bricks do any damage when thrown at an enemy?

Under which conditions can you recollect arrows? It appears a bit radom to me wether they vanish or not.

(For the bricks and bottles) Well not really but it does daze them and you can kill them with one running melee weapon hit, or you can grab them and then press square to kill them.

And arrows are pretty much random.

Arrows are not random, it depends on how close you are to the enemy. If you're right beside or even generally close to them the arrow will break, but if you're a good distance away the arrow will stay intact and you can recover it.

And you can use bricks/bottles as melee weapons to kill enemies. Bottles are only good for one hit and only kill if the target is already weak. Whereas the brick can kill anybody with 3 hits (excluding Bloaters and David). Equip them and press square near somebody, (2 or 3 times for bricks).

Also if both Joel and an enemy have lead pipes, theres a chance Joel will engage in a lead pipe lightsaber dual that looks badass. I'm not sure how to trigger it though....

interesting fact about the arrows.

I do not know what bloaters or David are, but I will soon find out I guess. As for the enemies, runners and clickers themselvers aren't that difficult on survivor mode. What makes it difficult is when you have both of them at the same time. Runners sometimes spot me, because they turn around even though I am crouching and walking silently, and then they alarm the clickers, which can give me an instant death. My tactic is to lure the enemies then walk away and let Tess or Bill do the dirty work for me.

There is an improvement, where you can use a knife when a clicker attacks you, but I took the health bonus for my first improvement, and now I am undecided wether I should take the second health bonus or want to be able to aim better with my weapons.

Upgrade health and shivs first, then listen mode. IMO,the aim upgrades are not really necessary if you're already good at aiming.

I think there is no "listen mode" on "survivor"

I forgot about that, its been a while since I last played story mode. Anyway, Upgrade max health, healing speed and shiv mastery first if you can.

Is healing speed actually useful? I mean when you need to heal yourself while several enemies are after you, you are screwed. and Clicker = instant death anyway. So either I pass a larger battle with my health and heal myself afterwards or I die or have to reload the last checkpoint.

Healing speed is very useful when fighting bloaters and human enemies. Bloaters attack you from a range and it deals quite some damage so healing yourself quickly on the fly will save your ass a lot.

Ok I will rethink my next improvement, but I want to keep my first playthrough "blind" in general.

Not true. I shot like 50 arrows into a low ceiling and 80% of them didn't break.

I love the game and I'm on my 5th playthrough now. Are the graphics really all that better on the PS4? If so, Comparison images?

I can't compare PS3 and PS4 but I can tell you that on PS4 it is stunning. Smooth framerate and the graphics are off the charts

Having played both versions I can say there is a substantial improvement on the PS4 version, especially on the lighting. However the biggest difference for me is the frame-rate on the PS4. Even though it dips below 60 fps occasionally it makes a hell of a difference and improves the experience by quite a huge margin.

I haven't played the ps4 version but after I saw some YT videos, the gameplay seems 'faster'. The MP looked more arcadey for some reason. Maybe it was just the video though.

I am at the

university

right now. Two scenes were pretty challenging so far

1. when you have to kill a larger group of hunters and Ellie assists you with the rifle

2. when you have to take out a sniper, who is hiding in a far away house, on your own. (It was really close. I had no more ammunition left. Avoided the two hunters in front of the house with a smoke bomb, and killed the hunter on the left side of the house with a brick.)

I played the new Mp maps last night and I must say the Financial Plaza is a great map with a lot of flanking areas.
