Brilliant game. If they do a sequel, Ellie should be the main protag., if they do a prequel, they should tell the story of Joel... the 20 years between Sarah's death and the story + the introduction should be about Joel and what happened to him when Sarah was sleeping.

Wow everyone feels the same about the Winter Scene and Playing as Ellie . That was indeed a very high point and dramatic part of the game. I have to say, this is a masterpiece!

 

This has it's happy moments and sad moments, and the story was really done well.

 

I honestly couldn't help to start crying when Joel called Ellie his "baby girl" after she went up to him in tears, after the boss with David

 

Joel was not going to lose Ellie, especially since 20 years ago he lost his daughter. If Ellie would of died, he would of lost any hope for living.."

 

The small actions and words gave so many feelings of helplessness and sadness. I felt the review by IGN was a bit inaccurate, or one of the reviews. But I remember someone calling the story a cliche. Every story in a way has some cliches, but the characters make up most that story. The story would be different for each character. This game really caught me off guard in so many ways.

 

I don't have the time right now to make a full review at the moment, but I will definitely. It is also the first time in awhile I took this much time on a game. I started the day I got it, and Im finished with it now.. Took me a good two weeks and it felt long. There was moments where I thought the game would end sooner, but I was like.. "Damn..There is more! This is never ending!"

 

Im satisfied with the ending. I felt sad that it came to an end for now, but relieved as well. I believe, even though Joel lied about Fireflies stopping to find a cure, it was for the better he lied. They would of destroyed the only part of humanity left.

 

Its real awakening to our real world as well.

I got 90% complete and the game bugged out on me on highway exit. The textures disappear and i can't get into the bus depot!

Just got to winter. Holy f*cking sh*t. Amazing game. i love the swapping between characters, the moment Joel fell and got f*cked up in the university was so sad. Literally tearing up as Ellie tries her best to get him out. also I'm at the part where you have to kill that creepy bandit guy in the resturant with no gun. It's so f*cking hard. I got him once and literally every time he catches me trying to stab him he'll f*cking run after me so I can't get him again made me rage before work & haven't gone back since. Any tips?

I was able to catch him off guard by staying on the opposite side of the table. So always try to stay on his back side then knife him.

Just finished on easy mode with auto aim on. Bad preparation for survivor mode, which I'm going to do next.

I played my first playthrough on Hard, died about a hundred times, but had a blast. Tried Survivor instead of Hard new game +, but I didn't like losing Hearing Mode and having to make due with even less supplies. So I'm playing Hard again now, then plan on doing Hard New Game+ if I still feel like and maybe, if I'm really bored I'll do Survivor, but only when I feel like Hard's becoming too easy

I guess my tip for you is: try Hard first (you'll have to do that anyway, don't you?).

About that boss battle: I managed to kill him by sneaking up on him a couple of times. Yes, he caught me a few times, but I could lose him by just running away and hiding.

I was a little surprised when I found out that David was voiced by Nolan North.

 

I mean I was not really too surprised since he already was the voice for Nathan Drake, but I did not catch on to his voice. It was pretty distinctive compared to Nathan Drake. Still the voice acting was superb, and so as the motion capture. The whole god damn game is beautiful! Lots of colors.

 

Speaking of color, has anyone tried completing the game in any of the renders? Like in Black and White or Old West?

 

I am considering of playing the game in Old West or Black and White. I complete the entire game on hard, and it was a bitch to complete, but very very entertaining. Let's try Survivor now.

 

I love how if you want, you can stealth through most of the game, and it is recommended because of the lack of supplies, I manage to stealth a few parts without ever getting spotted. But also with no waypoint or objective, it is easy to find yourself lost and searching every part of the city just admiring the view and finding supplies.

I'm not one for playing on higher difficulties but after I've tracked down every frigging pendent/Artifact/comic and got the trophys for them, I'm going to do something that I've never done before and that's play on survivor then survivor plus

That I cannot say. GTA V is a completely different game considering open world and all, it's going to last a lot longer than The Last of Us will, but will not put you through the same emotions The Last of Us can.
