On the ending I think it's great because you can't be completely sure weather Joel is a good or a bad guy. Who's to tell in their universe? What might have been right or wrong in our regular world you just can't say in theirs.

That's a silly comparison. You've clearly established that you're attracted to 14 year olds. In the Hot Pixels thread, you posted "Dem long-ass digital 14 year old legs. Mmnyes.", which would indicate that you're attracted to 14 year olds, whether she is fictional or not doesn't matter. I accept that some people have different perversions and that as long as they don't act on it then it shouldn't be an issue. The issue here however is that you insist on continuing to sexualise children through your drawings, which is something that myself and others find wrong. And if you do insist on sexualising children then I would ask that you keep it to yourself for the sake of the rest of us.

 

I also find it disturbing that you referred to the concept of an adult man having sex with a 14 year old girl as a 'social faux pas'. No, it's not a faux pas, putting your elbows on the table is a faux pas, a grown man having sex with a 14 year old is criminally and morally reprehensible.

 

EDIT: And no, I wouldn't get mad at an author for writing about murder. That would just be a story. I would however have a problem with an author writing pornographic novels about grown men having sex with children, as that would be sexualisng children for peoples sexual gratification, which is what you're doing.

I still can't get over how long this story is. I mean I feel like I'm not just playing to get it over with, I'm actually playing afraid of when this story is going to end. Wasn't 100% on board with this game at the start but once you hit into the open world it's amazing.

Someone give me a first hand account as to why I should because I scarcely know anything about how it works at all.

In multiplayer you choose one side: the Fireflies or the Hunters. As you play through the two game modes (Supply Raid, a team deathmatch type mode with limited respawns; and Survivors, team deathmatch with permadeath) you'll need to provide for your clan and help it grow. Metagame stuff. During the matches you can loot chests for things that'll keep your clan alive.

 

There's an occasional prompt to select a challenge to do within a certain amount of time. Time passes with each match (ex. Week 1, Week 2, etc.). Failing to do the challenge will cause some clan members to die. There are challenges to suit your specialty, and they can be redone. An easy one for me is reviving teammates nine times.

 

Just imagine the human combat sections in single player, just with actual people who have their own strategies. I think it's best to play with friends and talk over Skype, but if you play it safe you might be able to win some matches with mic-less strangers on your side.

 

Oh, and you've got the crafting system, along with a way to purchase ammo, armor, and a third weapon.

 

I've had a blast with it so far. It has me neglecting Max Payne 3's multiplayer.

The feeling when you and a friend just bash a single enemy to death with a wooden plank... so satisfying.

You're also missing the point. The fact that the character is fictional is neither here nor there. The issue is that he is sexualising children which has much larger implications than this fictional character alone. Like you said, I have no control over him, but I have control over myself and as such I felt the need to comment. I like to read this topic as I too play the game and I would prefer he keeps that sh*t to himself. I'm not the only one with this opinion. Some of us find his posts disturbing and inappropriate. There is not much that sickens me more than the sexualisation of children by grown men. If you can't understand how this issue extends beyond drawings of a fictional character then that's your problem. I can tell the difference between fantasy and reality just fine; that's not the issue. I also have no problem with anyone posting regular old fan art.

 

And yes, he is in fact drawing hardcore pornography of children having sex with adult men. He hasn't posted that here mind so that's not the issue I'm specifically addressing (although it is telling of his point of view).

I have to say the giraffe scene was really nice. it brought some happiness into that part of the game. It was nice that Joel told Ellie We don't have to do this, we can go back and live with Tommy. Which is what they exactly did. Great ending, hopefully there will be a sequel.

I was really pissed about the ending, it just seemed stupid after everything, but I like it now I've reflected on it, brilliant game.

Does anyone else think that they'd struggle for variation if there were to be a sequel? I'd gladly play more in this universe but how can they deliver enough changes to keep the combat and tactics on how you deal with different enemies fresh?

Wow everyone feels the same about the Winter Scene and Playing as Ellie . That was indeed a very high point and dramatic part of the game. I have to say, this is a masterpiece!

 

This has it's happy moments and sad moments, and the story was really done well.

 

I honestly couldn't help to start crying when Joel called Ellie his "baby girl" after she went up to him in tears, after the boss with David

 

Joel was not going to lose Ellie, especially since 20 years ago he lost his daughter. If Ellie would of died, he would of lost any hope for living.."

 

The small actions and words gave so many feelings of helplessness and sadness. I felt the review by IGN was a bit inaccurate, or one of the reviews. But I remember someone calling the story a cliche. Every story in a way has some cliches, but the characters make up most that story. The story would be different for each character. This game really caught me off guard in so many ways.

 

I don't have the time right now to make a full review at the moment, but I will definitely. It is also the first time in awhile I took this much time on a game. I started the day I got it, and Im finished with it now.. Took me a good two weeks and it felt long. There was moments where I thought the game would end sooner, but I was like.. "Damn..There is more! This is never ending!"

 

Im satisfied with the ending. I felt sad that it came to an end for now, but relieved as well. I believe, even though Joel lied about Fireflies stopping to find a cure, it was for the better he lied. They would of destroyed the only part of humanity left.

 

Its real awakening to our real world as well.
