People should get a warning & then a temp ban if they continue doing that. I don't care if someone insults me on the internet, but spoiling a game where the story is so important, is unforgivable.

I finally played, and honestly I got bored after a while. It just didn't live up to it's hype... I don't know, I'm a little tired right now even after drinking one and a half cans of monster. I'll try again tomorrow.

Obviously, judging by your last post you only played an hour and a half tops.

 

You don't expect them to throw it all at your face in the first 3% of the game

I'm just really tired, that's why I got bored really quick. I'm about to go to bed, and right when I wake up wether it's at 1 AM or 1 PM Im going to restart to I can fully comprehend the beginning, since I've only played for 1 1/2 hours, so no loss really.

Yeah dude trust me, around the 3rd or 4th hour you'll get addicted, takes a while

I saw the last cut scene on youtube but didn't understand it so should I buy the game to under stand

Yeah that's why I didn't speak up about it even though I completed the game, thanks Knife

 

Just did multiplayer mode with one of my friends and after a few rough matches where we got destroyed, I gave him a few tips since it was his first game and on the map University I managed to go 8-0 revived once by a helpful team mate and we destroyed the Hunters 10 waves to 0

 

Also my clan had 4 hungry members for the first time in week 3 and thanks to that match I'm back on track to completing this the whole way through.

Ibrahimhassounah Yeah man I agree, if you play through the game and focus hard enough on the ending you'll understand and it supports ND!

I beat the single player and I moved onto the Multiplayer portion of the game and at first I was having alot of fun with it until Lag started to hit, its gotten to the point where the game is litterally unplayable everyone around me will be playing the game fine lag free but for some reason when when I play the game my character freezes I cannot move I cant even bring up the crafting menu all I can do while frozen is move the camera, I looked up cases of lag in the multiplayer for the last of us and im not the only one, I dont know if its a bad connection on my behave it might be but I check the connection signal on my ps3 and it come in arouind 70-85% so it might be some dropped packets but this is the only game where I have experiences such horrible lag of this level, I have yet to experience this in any other its really pissing me off cuz im tryin to enjoy the MP and the lag is ruining my experience with the game

Hate for this game start coming up... Just like with Diablo III... Just like with Bioshock. Yes the games have been overhyped and yes statements these "hate videos" make are mostly true. Doesn't make them instantly sh*tty games.

Do I have enough space available on my ps3 to get the game and play it? Also how much memory in total does the game need to run?

 

P.S: Getting a new ps3 is a last resort atm...

If I were you I'd avoid the digital version, I bought it digitally and it took about 26 GB and another 26 to install.

 

My friends bought the disk version and there was nothing to install but the latest patch which was about 46 MB or something

Or the molotov. You hit one with a molotov and the rest all goes towards that one and get burned too. The scariest part for me was turning on the generator in the hotel then hauling ass because the noise attracted all the clickers to your location

The only thing I agree with in this video is the stealth was too repetitive. Ellie would do sh*t the A.I. just flat out ignored. That would break the immersion like, WTF really. I got tired of choking people out too. The game is still a 8/10 for me though. I don't see myself playing it again. After about a day of the multiplayer it got dull.

The only thing that had me shaking was trying to get Joel out of the school after he was impaled and the very end where I'm trying to save Ellie from surgery.

 

But that isn't the same kind of scared. In fact, it was a better kind of scared.

Mini Review (NO spoilers,till end in tag)

All I can say is wow. I wasn't trying to bite the hype but damn. The game really deserved all of it.

Honestly can say it's in the top of my all time fav video games. Everything is very well done.

 

The detail in some of the levels is amazing. The graphics are pushing the ps3 to the edge. Yes, there were

minor flat textures here and there. But it doesn't even matter. The lighting on some of the levels

was Next Gen like. Crazy. Particularly one of the better scenes showcasing the lighting was the Ranch House

scene in the woods. The flashlight you use was also superbly realistic in the environment.

 

My creepiest moment came in the abandoned hotel in the basement. You have a flashlight but It's still dark. It's flooded. It's quiet.

And you have to turn on this generator for power. And i'll leave the rest to the imagination.

Also what was adrenaline pumping was running out of ammo during infected attacks and having to run

away. Never felt so un- in control of things in a game before. I loved that. Died so many damn

times haha.

 

Gameplay was pretty solid. One gripe is Ellie's A.I. didn't help me as much in the beginning as

expected but towards the middle/end she held her own. Also the A.I. could kind of get in your

way a few times when hiding behind cover. Nothing game breaking but noticeable. I also had A.I. go right infront of

infected and human enemies and not be spotted but I think that was more of a design choice than

glitch so the A.I. didn't start unnecessary skirmishes. Which was smart. Would have been annoying.

 

Also one last gripe is some enemies took WAY too many bullets to bring down. Instances where it

took 3 or 4 pistol shots to bring down a guy. And a few where the shotgun didn't do as much damage

as it should have close up. Everything else was so realistic except for that.

 

The Stealth gameplay was very satisfying. Going up behind a guy and taking him down mgs style. Oh so nice.

 

The story was Excellent. Sad beginning...At the end a few twists I didn't expect. SOOO glad I stayed away from spoilers on the

internet unlike RDR =( The connection between Ellie and Joel was great and the other characters too.

The little interactions during gameplay really added a Ton of immersion. To describe the story I would say it is a lot

like The Walking Dead on AMC. The infected are a part of the story BUT it's not the main attraction every second. Which

is nice to me. I enjoy a great story.

 

I easily give this game a 9.8 out of 10.

Minor minor minor flaws but excellent story and gameplay. Top contender for game of the generation imo.

Yes that's right game of the generation worthy. It stands with only a handful of games that can be put in that category.

Lastly I will say that I hope Naughty Dog makes a Last of Us 2 on PS4 where Joel teaches Ellie how to swim and

play the guitar(Like he mentions in the game). I don't care how boring it would be. I want more!!!
