King Of Monra
So last summer I went to Oregon (portland, dallas, corvallis, salem) (mostly) and Washinton (seatle) and sacremento in california and las vegas in nevada. So this coming summer, I'm planing another trip, to LA and Las vegas again (it might be san fransisco insted of LA) I totally forgot about posting the pictures from the last trip, someone was asking about that. I'll see what I can do. There are alot of pictures. Some too private to show here. and no not in a sexual way. But I'm wondering about the same things as last time, what are the "have to see" places in LA or San fransisco? the places that aren't known to most tourist, and the popular places, some great food places, some "typical american you suckers in the rest of the world don't have stuff, like food and such"

Dingdongs
Come to NYC Seriously though, if you're going to LA, I can't think of many sites to see there. You can go see the Hollywood sign, go to the tour of Universal Studios, ride the VIP bus thing, Six Flags, etc. The Universal tour is great though you can spend a whole day of your trip there on the rides and tours especially. Slamman
My folks are from Oregon. I've never been to the West Coast. You should come see the interior of the USA instead of the OVERRATED coasts! haha
Oddsock
Ha! Screw the interior. Unfortunately King of Monra, I can't help you with West Coast sites, but I definitely think you should visit the East Coast. Washington DC and Baltimore in my state, Boston and NYC up north, and there's even Florida down south if you miss warmth.
Jesus'En'Hitler420
West coast is filled with liberal dick suckers. Just go see Las Vegas and stay in the MGM Grand Hotel if you got some money. Get sh*tfaced. I can't believe you thought Oregon was exciting enough to remember those lifeless locations. Thank God the internet is awesome for lying because if you said otherwise I would still think you were lying.
King Of Monra
There is one guy who wants to go to san diego cali. is it worth it? compared to LA or San Fransisco. Jesus'En'Hitler420 : I met some really great people there, that's probably why I remember it, and I was the best man at a wedding there. OdDsOcK: I will go to DC and New York sometime too, but there are others too that seems to be more eager to go to cali. Slamman: Nothing is overrated Forty: I'm not the kind of person that gets "sh*tfaced" Irviding: I will, someday. Senex Iunior: I don't, yet. Rebel
Never been to LA myself, the closest West Coast I've been is San Diego which I had about 4 days off there before going back to volunteer work. I really enjoyed San Diego, even the little I saw of it. Got to stay in the middle of the city right next to the baseball stadium. Never got to see any games, although I heard the team is sh*t. Really enjoyed the zoo despite the fact it was really busy, you can spend an entire day there. Oh also went to the Balboa(sp?) park where all of the art museums and stuff are located. Again, you could spend an entire day there going into each building. I wouldn't recommend their Natural History museum though, was highly disappointed after being to London. But if you aren't going to San Diego then forget what I said.
bread
The interior dude, the interior. Ever been to Montana!!?? I have! Bad Recommendation... Montana is boring and cold. Nothing so special up there. Chi-Town is where it's at.
Forty
I would never recommend Montana as a place for a visitor from another country to see. Not unless they are interested in sitting on a porch and staring into the distance. If that's your cup of tea, there's plenty of staring to do in Montana. Dingdongs
Agreed... you should check out any of the cities really. Sitting in one of the rural states is really going to be a bore. You'd have more fun in the deep south than you would in Montana. Next trip you should see Chicago and Detriot, then maybe next you can go to the Northeast and see everything over there. That'll be the best place for any visitor IMO.
Slamman
Hey man, you've never been to a dude-ranch in Montana then! Some celebs live there as well. I am a fan of the natural beauty of the USA, just not the weather extremes

Austin or Houston is where it's at in ole Tejas. QFT. Austin is one of the coolest cities in the U.S. I spent a weekend there this summer. Absolutely awesome city. However, I'm going to have to disagree with you both about Houston. I spent three months living and working in Houston this summer and I wouldn't recommend it. I just found it to be quite a dull city for the most part. After my stay in Houson, I spent a few weeks travelling around America before returning to Ireland. I'd definitely recommend Chicago above all. Really cool city. And Vegas was a lot of fun.

Slamman
I've been to Mount Rushmore too, and seen Yellowstone, but I was young then, at least 20 years ago we all went on that trip. I'd like to visit Cali before I die, or just escape the cold, I've lived in the Midwest all my life, you find a way to adapt, but it will be TEENS for temps this week already and I really am disliking the nasty cold in my old age

Yeah, me and my friends learned the hard way. Nothing ever happens. The thing that I found really strange was how downtown Houston was practically a ghost town during the weekend. We just spent our spare time in the bar across the road. There was nothing else to do most of the time. I think one of the guys at the place I was working put it right when he described Houston as only somewhere to come to work or to a raise a family.
