Because V is in a different era than San Andreas, which means this era is based on real life Los Angeles, and in Los Angeles there isn't a landmark or whatever its called existing. Yes, they're supposedly different eras, but we saw a couple similar names in IV (Laz, Fernando Martinez, Francis Int'l...wasn't Rosenberg on a commercial or news report?) If R* sees a good way to inject these gangs into the storyline, I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem doing so. There's no rule saying they can't do it. I think people shouldn't get their hopes up for LS in V being very similar to the SA version. LC in IV was miles different than it was in III. I wouldn't be surprised to see LS get the same treatment. This, this, and this again. It's a new era people, odds are it'll be 100% diffrent, no grove street no Ganton (odds are there will be a place based on Compton, just the name will be diffrent) etc. We'll be seeing Vinewood and that's about it. It might still be called Ganton, but who knows, don't get your hopes up. The III Era's over people, I liked it as much as the next guy but it's time to move on. It's a GTA game based in LA;the gang capitol of the US. Nothing racist about assuming that he was gang related because chances are in a GTA game he is. Some may with different names but I don't think Ganton will return. I think the Airport name, and Vinewood will return. Compare IV's LC to III"s LC. oblivionskate Posted December 4, 2011 Share Posted December 4, 2011 I hope they have the original layout of los santos with just more added on around it OF COURSE. many of us wanted san andreas back for the map and things to do. so I don't think they will completely throw out the san andreas map. thats just my hopes. i want grove and the ballas to return because they were supposed to be major gangs and we all know that major gangs like M.S 13,bloods, crips, mexican mafia DON'T just die out in a few years.
