Moveable Bodies

Maybe also something like Red Dead Redemption where you can take someone hostage. However they should use a different method than the lasco.

Man i had some fun with that ! I'd lasso some fool out in the wilderness, hog tie them put them on my horse and ride them somewhere private. I'd let them struggle for a while then i'd cut them free......... They would try and run away but that sadly is not how it goes down. I chase after them and shot them in cold blood for no reason but my own enjoyment !

It might be sick but it's not like i'd do it in real life get a grip.

So if you can't tell allready it's a yes from me. But we'd have to be able to kidnap them alive and put them in our trunk. you could do it with a dead body too of course lol. It would only be optinal though not something you have to do all the time that would get annoying very quickly

How would we kidnap them alive? Handcuffs? Zip ties?

I think that worked better in RDR, with the wild west feel.

Modern day games though I'm not sure - it'd have to be well thought out. I'm not sure about kidnapping people - though the same system Saints Row 2 has with human sheilds might work - I can't see any real advantage to that, unless there's a minigame involving kidnapping people.

But i'm all about the freedom in the game so why not

Wow, sounds to me like the people you work with are Incompetent  suicidal.gif

Mostly the ones with limited reading comprehension.

Well it's a good thing R* doesn't hire from the bottom of the coders pool like your fictional employer, and could easily put it in the game. (Even just for fun, to suggest otherwise was asinine.)

@Static: I did buy manhunt, it was fun too, but I wanna do funny sh*t with dead bodies in GTA sucka! tounge.gif

@Aceray: Yeah, that would have been cool if you could decide how and where you were gonna dispose of the body. Missed opprotunity by R* sad.gif

@Mokrie Dela :

How would we kidnap them alive? Handcuffs? Zip ties?

Just knock someone out with your fists, instead of killing them they'd just be KOed for a while...Then you can take their prone body and put it in the trunk, on the freeway, in your safehouse, garbage can, use your imagination devil.gif

IMO the only reason they haven't done it already is laziness, not techincal improbability. Would have been a much better use of time and resources then, say, in-game television that nobody watches sarcasm.gif

I'm not gonna lie, one of my favorite things about IV was pretending to be a serial killer lol, I was majorly dissappointed when I found out you couldn't do anything with the bodies, like drive them into the ocean or use them as shields until there's nothing left of them.

So my answer? My answer is YES. I want a trunk full of bodies to lead to an epic cop chase when I get pulled over and they see all the bodies....Is that weird?

Nah, i mean it's not my playing style but no one has any right to tell you how to play.

It's a small feature that these spoilsport naysayers demand shouldn't be in the game, because they don't like it - they SHOULD be in the game to cater for those who want it. Everyone wins then; you want it, it's there, don't want it, don't use it. The other way round it don't work - want it? Tough you're not having it, don't want it? Get your c*ck out spoilsports and we'll suck you off.

I see no reason what so ever why this feature shouldnt be in the game, other then preference and opinion.

The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.

I want to be able to drag 'em around, more so just for the fun factor.

Throwing corpses off bridges and buildings, putting 'em on train tracks, hooking 'em to the back of your tow truck, dumping 'em at the front door of the cop shop, feeding them to wolves, or just strolling around bashing the ever loving sh*t out of peds with someones arm.

If there's some sort of greater function added to it, sure.

The example stated in the OP (stuffing a corpse in the trunk and chucking it off a cliff) ....why? Red Dead's 'tie people up and put them on your horse' actually had a purpose; Marston was a bounty hunter, so the 'hogtie' mechanic was for capturing bounties/criminals/whatever, and it was a part of quite a few missions.

I think if there's some sort of (limited) stealth mechanic behind it it may work. Say, if the police find a body on the sidewalk they'll deploy more cops to the general area. But that'd get kind of irritating; especially if you just took out a bunch of people with a rocket or something. Or they could do something like the IV mission "Have a Heart" where you could sell the bodies to an organ dealer for some quick cash. Otherwise, I'm just not seeing a real reason to have it as a part of freeroam in GTA's current state - outside of just dicking around.

Am I daydreaming or did GTA IV have some kind of feature where you could pick up bricks and through them through windows? or was that a mission-specific feature.

It could be a "press the up arrow to pick up a nearby object" and if you press it near a brick, you can use it as a melee weapon, or throw it. If you press it near a body you can haul them up over your shoulder. You then have access to a limited selection of your weapons, mainly pistols and UZI-type guns requiring one hand.

I like this idea, personally.

Adding features such as this would create more variety in gameplay. I don't want to just blow stuff up the whole time I play GTA. Sometimes I want to be stealthy. A common complaint of IV was monotonous missions. Well I think bringing stealth back would add way more variety.

San Andreas had that really cool Madd Dogg mission involving stealth, and I think everyone remembers it because it was unique and fun. I'd like to see stealth as a viable option for many missions, and gameplay outside of missions as well.

I understand that the game would be required to continuously render the dead bodies, taking up memory, but if it could be done, it should. Plus, moving dead bodies will create tons of opportunities for hilarious things like dropping a dead body from a helicopter into a crowd of people.

Dicking around is the entire point tounge.gif

Most of the people I know who own IV don't even play the missions...they just download a 100% savegame then go screw around. That's what made GTA popular in the first place. I know if I had to choose between nothing but missions or no missions at all (just freeroam): Freeroam it is. Nothing beats shootin' some cops in the face for no good reason and making a run for it.

If ya'll can't see the potential fun in movable bodies, there's something wrong with you lol

Movable bodies (alive and dead) will give hilarious scenes. I would love something like this. By the way, a sandbox game should have as many features as possible to enlarge the replay value. Also this would give many possibilities for minigames and funny sh*t. I really feel that if with every new GTA the features/minigames of a previous GTA are left out or not improved, this new GTA just throws its potential in the bin. Sad, but true, I loved the possibilities in GTA:SA and I hated GTA IV for its lack of all those extras. I truly hope GTAV will be better than IV and have all the extras of SA plus even more shlt to do.

like fallout 3 and NV basicly.

Gives me another idea:

I WANT TO BE ABLE TO BLOW LIMBS OFF AGAIN AND COMPLETELY OBLITERATE BODIES.

wow, if this ability was possible, and bodies wouldn't disappear very easily, then some funny stuff could be possible, especially to post to youtube. Imagine loading up a sail boat full of dead and bloody bodies for a "Weekend at Bernie's" cruise around the bay.. or just hauling around some dead bodies in the back of a truck, then dumping them at the police station, Mexican drug cartel style. Or, maybe a tea party with some dead hookers would be nice? biggrin.gif

GTA V would be come THE game of prospective child serial killers! maybe some adult ones too.

the ability to pick up anything that a man can handle would be nice, actually.
