Not to be too suspicious here, but both of you have the same spelling problems -- either this is the same member replying to his own question because nobody else did, or there are some people out there with a remarkable lack of the same education.

Neither of these scenarios would be considered crazy stunts

I tend to agree with the ----- above, and if there is one thing I cannot stand - especially when they try to post at a public forum is an idiot like the who posted this thread. Up until this point I've been silent and relatively polite about this, but so far he has posted at least two posts that I'm aware of, both of which have been utter drivel. Well, here is a word of advice, "guerilla_man" you're more than welcome to post at the forum if you want to submit something intelligent, a question (which has not been posted elsewhere) or have something of REAL value to share. One last thing, what the hell does "was a figher of the west now i am a fighter of the east thats why they call me guerilla man" actually supposed to mean? THAT also sounds like poorly spelt utter drivel.

Uhhmm... really? Am I missing something?

Hahaa no, I am not Guerilla-Man.

I was only being sarcastic, and making fun of Guerilla-Man's terrible grammar, and his not-so-crazy "stunt". Well, assuming that he's not a child, or doesn't necessarily speak English.

Fair enough Ultravox - if you are not this individual, then my sincere apologies and yes, very humorous. However, it has to be said, anyone posting crap on a forum is basically wasting forum space. I'm not going to be a forum nazi, but the number of times I've seen forums ruined by one brainless cretin; often they post meaningless poorly edited and spelt crap which eventually comes to dominate every single thing posted until the whole forum population stops posting due to being demoralized and lampooned by the idiot in question who is allegedly from New Zealand so he should be able to speak English you would think, yes?

I like flipping cars upside down using the various ramps in Liberty City, if you catch the edge just right you can flip the car 360 landing back on your wheels. Doing the stunt jumps in heavy vehicles can provide some interesting results

The original poster who decided to be funny has confirmed that he is indeed an idiot by doing it again in another thread, and for some reason seems to think its funny to use the forum to abuse me/my posts. Considering that he runs a blog elsewhere on the net, giving 'advice' on GTA and uses the tag line "it's all about respect", it makes me wonder if he is intimidated by my good-hearted efforts here to do the same - not that I give a damn one way of the other considering that what he does for fun I do professionally and for a number of publications worldwide.

I have done a few epic things over the past year, but the best one had to be when my friend did a jump and i was parked perfectly, so he landed straight ontop of me.

These aren't really one-time stunts, but I love doing odd tricks with the bikes.

These only work on the akuma btw.

When doing joystick-forward doughnuts, if you quickly pull up in a certain way, he'll do a cool 360 wheelie kinda thing.

Or, if you're heading at about 40mph, then push diagonally to the upper right or left on the joystick to

get the back wheel out and spinning (like a drift), then if you pull back at the right time, the rider will sort of do a stoppie/endo with the back wheel while heading backwards and pull the front wheel all the way around to do a 360 kind of thing.

It actually looks really cool, and not glitchy or anything. Sorry im so bad at explaining this, I couldn't find a video on it. hmmm... maybe I'll make one.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Not sure you can call the following a stunt, but I'll assume that my fellow players have experienced the peculiarities of the game engine with what I like to call "pin ball vehicle" - this is a state in which you make a jump in a vehicle off of a ramp, high building, etc and while in freefall strike something, even the ground, but at an angle which causes the vehicle to unexpectedly ignore the laws of physics and go into some wild, unbelievable spin and bounce which has you hitting other objects and then rebounding back and forth along a street for a distance. Although this has happened to me several times now, and I've never managed to get them on film (care of FRAPS) I did last night in a fairly ordinary car chase sequence while putting some distance between me and those cheerful lads with the blue uniforms, no sense of humor and itchy trigger fingers.

I started by driving off of the top of the high wall at Asparagus Street close by Hove Beach in Broker, intending to land close by Brucie's body shop when the vehicle went into freefall, struck the warehouse opposite and instead of slamming into it, as I expected and then dropping to the ground, it struck it at an oblique angle, pin wheeled off to strike a nearby building bridge (tunnel between two buildings) and then shot into the air and slammed into the underside of the elevated railroad above the road I had just come from wherein the car span beautifully and slammed into the ground just in time for me to see a trio of extremely pissed off cops coming up from behind and they weren't handing out speeding tickets! Sadly, the car was trashed, the engine refused to start and they got me ... dammit, they GOT ME ... so after being shot to death, I just had to go out and go on a rampage to make up for my loss of face.

I'm not sure if this counts as a stunt, because it wasn't really intentional and it could be some kind of glitch, but Ill post it anyway:

I was riding a Sanchez and was doing a whellie, when suddenly a Annihilator pilot appeared and tried to blade me.

Instead of being chopped in two pieces, the blades launched me and the bike (I was still mounted) around 500 meters in the sky, and when the bike wheels hit the ground again, I didn't take any damage all.

Sorry about the quality by the way.

Pretty neat, Ultravox, never seen a bike do a circular wheelie before. BTW, dude, small screen, that's a bummer. Best results for making a camera to screen type video are to put the camera on a pile of books, CD's, whatever, and then get the frame as centered as possible before filming. Or if you want to get really good results try using FRAPS to video the output (PC only) but I suspect you're using a console. Anyway, nicely done given the filming restrictions placed on you.

-I got to the rooftop of some random apartment using a Zombie motorcycle...then I just jumped off that apartment with that Zombie motorcycle.

-I blocked my helicopter on the railways...when the train came and crashed at me,BOOM!

-I usually use the rocks on Hove Beach for stunting. The cars I usually use is that wrecked, rusty Vigero I just got from Drug Jobs of Jacob

-I used a firetruck to ram many cars. It's pretty much stronger than the Patriot in my opinion

Thanks karjerker,

and yes, its far too small for my taste. It looks like it has more front-surface area of plastic than it does screen. bored.gif

I had acutally just used a tripod, but I also had some obstructions that I didn't fell like moving.

Ultravox, phew, glad you have a tripod - the only reason I suggested the other method was because in my experience most folks don't have access to one. But filming screen output without an application is very tricky - fact is, back in my student days in the eighties, I did the same thing with BBC Microcomputers (32K of memory, four channel sound, eight colors - by todays standards that counts as a toy). So, question remains, PC or console? If PC, try FRAPS, you may be very impressed.

I pulled of 3 crazy a** stunts that made even me drop my jaw for a minute.

I jumped Out of my maverick one day, Hit some guy in the face with my face and some how lived after dropping from almost another layer of the earth with minimal damage.

Another time I was driving my good 'ol Vader into the swing set of death, I got wacked by the gods of uber awesome bad programming and physics and flew of my bike at least going 50 mile straight up in the air till I was at least 2 buildings high, opened my parachute landed the park and then my bike hits a car a little bit away and kills a guy!

One last crazy Shizzle I even didn't know could happen is actually in SA, where I had some very fast car, my memory escapes me, but you know the abandoned airport strip, well if you exist Las Venturas, you can go around it if you take a right or something, well their was some railing around the area, and I was going as fast as I think the game could handle, like EVERYTHING detexturized type fast, I hit some railing blocking idiot drivers going 120 Mph from flying off the road and skimmed the end, and outta freaking nowhere I get launched and do a triple insane duel back flip 1080. That was the most well earned $3000 I ever made!

Beat that Team!

Oh, sorry.

yeah, I have a ps3.

Do you know of any goood ways to record game footage over a console? Maybe something similar to FRAPS?

Karjerker, I apologized for offending you in this thread via PM - and edited the post. (what more could I have done). Why not use the quote feature to provide evidence of these abusive/offensive posts that I am being accused of posting.

Please stop posting all this retrospective nonsense (and name calling). It only makes you look foolish and will remain on these boards for everyone to witness. Most of what you have written here is incorrect, I do not have a tag line (do you mean signature?) that says "it's all about respect" and I do not run a Grand Theft Auto advice website. I have a blog about the Minimal Kill Challenge (which I accept may not be of interest to the average game player).

There is evidence from what you have written that you may be suffering from a Superiority Complex. I don't know what you do for a profession (and I don't want to know), but I can assure you that I am perfectly content with my own choice of career and lifestyle. Keep it Grand Theft Auto.

Dr-Mayhem111

The most craziest stunt I have ever done in GTA IV.

I was being chased by cops in Alderny with all 6 stars, I was in a Sanchez that I happened to see just park in the middle of the street. There was many cop cars behind and helicopters were shooting at me. After noticing the jump that goes from Alderney to Algonquin was up ahead I went for it, I was going full throttle towards the ramp until I saw a helicopter flying right above the ramp I tried to stop but it was too late. I jumped off the bike when it was airborne and I remember having an RPG before getting on the bike, so I started shooting randomly and managed to hit the chopper which caused the explosion to hit me and fly me further towards Algonquin and hitting a moving Turismo making me fly over a walkway landing on the back of a Bobcat.

A couple of days ago while performing a stunt jump over the channel (river) to the immediate west of Algonquin was mid-air in a car when one of the helicopters that regularly pass that way came into view somewhat unexpectedly - and from the perspective of the vehicle camera seemed to narrowly miss said aircraft's underside by about one or two feet, which was a relief ... as I thought that I was going to strike it. However, since I lacked sufficient power (acceleration over momentum) to reach the opposite bank, instead ended up landing fifteen feet short of the bank and in the drink. Curses, foiled again. Subsequently, bath night came early.

I'm sure the following will not mean anything to anyone else but the intended recipient, but I've called a permanent truce, and sincerely want to keep it clean and serene from hereon in, can you PLEASE do the same? It's not much to ask and besides, it's become somewhat irritating, boring and tedious playing out that little game of tit for tat. I came here to play Grand Theft Auto and to chew bubblegum, and hell, I'm all out of bubblegum ... really must get some more from the store.

Seagull1971, regarding the comment you re-posted immediately below, I consider the issue closed but GOOD POINT nevertheless. As you may recall, I mistook a satrical posting by Ultravox and have since apologized to him for it. However, there should really be a section into which said postings can be moved - as you suggest here when it becomes obvious that certain of the posts are not of any value to the community at large.

Ok let me sound a bit naive here does this original poster have history because there is nothing in there for a newbie like myself to attack and just perceived it as a random post.

Just an idea if these type of posts are just regarded as mindless drivel perhaps admin could make another section called "Ranblings" and keep it off the main board.

Just a thought... icon14.gificon13.gif
