I'm 26 yrs old, the thing is I want someone closer to my own age 20-30 something because it is more relatable.I have no idea why a 40-50 yr old hasn't just settled down and got his act together, seems like a very sad man indeed. It means you can have a detailed back story and we already know from the trailer that he was a criminal and then settled down and is now heading back into a life of crime. He's got a wife, 2 kids, a big house, etc. The average age in 2010 for a male to get married is 28. (26 for a women) The average age to have a first child is 29, making the guy 31 by this point. Doctors say it takes 2-3 years for a womens body to be fully prepared for pregnancy again. Making our guy 33-34. Now, for the sake of the storyline I'm going to assume one of his kids is a bit more grown up. Maybe mid to late teens so add 15 years on since the first child was born and by my estimations our guy is going to be 46. Personally, I'd prefer that. I just don't think gta games suit a young protagonist anymore. IV gave us a lot of character development and was extremely story driven for them to then go back to the character in his prime just for the sake of a bit of pace. I would be very disappointed. He doesn't look like a gangster, that's the reason why everybody is crying I'm pretty sure CJ was born & bred in Los Santos, SA and not the Republic of Niger in West Africa. In RDR, John Marston was shown on-screen and not the narrator. Also, John spoke in the trailer which showed he was not the one narrating. Your hypothesis is that the narrator of the trailer, who talks only of himself in the first person, and who's face appears multiple times, is not the protagonist of the story. I'm over 40 and I hope that I never, ever "get my act together" I'd high-five you, but I'm 43 and it's so hard to get my arm up above my shoulders anymore. Plus my bones are really brittle now and I don't want to break my hand. (I hope there are no typos in this post. CJ was the youngest and still was interesting, but as the developers get older, it is understandable that they will try to make the most with someone they can relate to. People who can look past superficial aspects of a person will like what they have done. Immature people will complain that they can't relate. Personally, I'm very cool with GTAV having an older than average protagonist. It's way too early to judge, but I will say personally I hope he's a bit less "nice" than he seems from the narration. The nice guy reluctant criminal has been explored quite a bit, hoping to see more of a dark side you'd probably see in a career criminal like that. Anyways, long story short the age is no problemo. I would be ok with it. I am sure you will be able to go to the gym and make your guy as muscular as you want.
