Exxon
That system is not able to run IV: •CPU is too old and slow •GPU is not good enough •You need atleast 2 GB of RAM, and 2.5 GB with Windows Vista/7 You'll need a new computer to run IV. Do you have a budget for a new one?
SlaveZer0
Exxon, cant you see hes a troll... terrible english, terrible mispelling and the fact that hes asking to buy a "new" system ten yrs out of date. if he read enough to find this place, he couldve read the minimum specs to. and his sly little i didnt do it whistling smiley is the icing on the cake. Exxon
Not everyone can speak English as good as we do, not everyone lives in the USA I just offer help where needed, unless it's really trolling. Don't see any reason why not to help, if he's really trolling you'll see it if he doesn't answer.
radioman
Actually, If he got a new Processor and increased the RAM, Plus use Patch 4 and memrestrict command line, he could run the game at a pretty stable 30fps(with the occasional drops to 25fps when raining/25-27fps in the Hove Beach area) at High settings/Shadows OFF/sliders at no more than 25. I have a laptop with an Intel I5 Quad(says "4 CPU's" under the DXDIAG screen-of coarse that is HT) @ 2.53GHZ with up to 2.93GHZ with Turbo Boost, 6GB RAM, and an ATI Radeon HD5470 with 512MB dedicated vram and up to 3223mb total vram and Windows 7 Home Premium, and with Patch 4 and Memrestrict commandline(increases my vram to 1GB dedicated), I can run the game on High settings and the sliders at 25 or less and get a steady 30fps most of the time with the occasional drop to 25-27fps when raining/27fps in Hove Beach area. I mention this, cause as far as I know the 5470 is the laptop equivalent to the desktop's 5450? As seen here, the game runs quite well as those settings.. and here: Just a heads up, that it's possible for the game to run on those cards with the right Processor and Ram. Note on video, It is not laggy, it was just hard holding the camera in one hand and using the mouse/keyboard with the other. Yes, this is my video and photo. unc13bud
original poster, if you are a real person, upgrade your video card to one that has 112 shader processing cores or more. if money is an issue, get a gt 240/gt 440/gt545/9800gt/8800gt or gts 250 (if your power supply can handle it) - and another stick of 1 gb ram
