Have you ever been this excited for a game?

If you're feeling hyped up about GTA5 right now, prepare to be blown away when the first details are revealed. You're going to be twice as hyped than ever before! I have information about GTA5 and I'm telling you, it's MUCH different from previous GTA games. Just wait and see when new information has been revealed. But don't expect any new information this year... possibly in January but cannot say with certainty.

Well go on, spill the beans then you dirty rat.

I was this excited for all of the GTA games really. I didnt even know that GTA London was coming out, but when I saw it in the shops I just went crazy and bought it right away. Since then I have always searched online and visited these forums. Usually when we get within a few months of the release I start buying magazines (theyre usually dissapointing and dont tell us anything more than we already know).

The more excited you get, the more disappointed you'll be when the game comes out, believe me. Calm down a little.

I was extremely hyped for GTA 4 and wasn't disappointed. Now this game promises even more gameplay features.

King Of Monra

I was excited when the trailer came out. But not anymore.

There's really nothing to be excited about. The trailer was exciting because there was something to look forward to, a countdown. With GTAV, we don't know anything. No release date; no other news. It could be released in 2013 for all we know.

Now that V has been announced, I am excited but more patient. Don't rush a good thing thru the finish line.

I am also very excited about the new SSX game, Max Payne 3, and Just Cause 3 (hope it has online multiplayer)

Yea, maybe you weren't disappointed, but were you as much as hyped when the game came out like you were when you saw the trailer? If the answer is no, then you see my point.

Obviously. Cause I finally could play the game. It didn't match some of my expectations still I liked it a lot.

Personally, I think GTAV is a much better debut trailer. IV's trailer showed buildings, a few cars, and Niko. It was slow and had classical music. There are confirmations, but not as much as V's.

V's trailer immediately feels alive. The protagonist narrates the trailer as if he was Henry Hill, straight out of Goodfellas. Not only is it longer, but it's much more colorful than IV's debut. Furthermore, we are introduce to a wide variety of vehicles, almost 30 total. (including a blimp, a semi-trailer truck, a golfcart and a freakin' Jet!) There's so many things confirmed, but yet, so many more questions. There are so many What's happening here? moments. IV didn't really have that.

I agree 100%. But, I'm just saying. People often get very disappointed when they expect very much. It's better not to expect anything or to expect very little. biggrin.gif

I'm so easily "hypable".

I've been extremely excited with many games and movies (and even books!) over the past years.

This is just one more of them ;P

Except that this time around I won't expect the moon unless they confirm it. I already thought IV was going to be like San Andreas in New York and that wasn't the case (and that was 100% my fault, the game never promised any of the unique SA features)

Im not excited at all now, when it was announced and the trailer came out i was buzzing but over the last month with no info or anything the excitements wore off, it still interests me and i check the forums everyday but the excitement has gone. Soon as some more info comes out and some screenshots then no doubt i will be buzzing again.

I'm expecting a good game.

But nothing beats waiting for GTA San Andreas AND Metal Gear Solid 3 almost at the same time, good days.

Hey, come to think of it; GTA IV and MGS4 were also released around the same time. GTA IV in April and MGS4 around July, I believe.

Come to think of it...not really. I mean, sure, it's GTA and all but the rest of life continues to move forward. I suggest we all just resume with our normal lives and GTA V will be here in no time.

Although I'm calling myself a hypocrite, as I continue to come back to these forums. blush.gif

I've noticed this as well. I'm the kind of gamer who only buys one or two games a year, so when two games of that caliber come out in one year, it's the best kind of year. I haven't bought any games this year, but 2010 was great since I got Mass Effect 2 and Red Dead Redemption.

I really haven't been so hyped for a video game since 2004. San Andreas was in the gaming magazines, and it looked spectacular. I pre-ordered it, and I picked it up the day before it came out. It exceeded my expectations.

Final Fantasy XII killed hyping for me. It was not as good as I'd hoped, and I didn't buy a 360 until two years ago, so I didn't get excited for IV really at all.

GTA V looks like it will be my new favorite game of all time, but I'm trying to reduce the cravings by playing TBOGT and TLAD.

The fact that I'm reading this thread convinced me this is the most hyped I have ever felt for any game. I've been hyped about games in the past (GTA IV, RDR, Mass Effect 2 & 3), but not to this extent. I truly believe GTA V will be the best game ever made (at least at the time of its release) and the best game of this console generation. It will quite literally be the next San Andreas.

i'm hyped to the point that i'll be buying a new console and the game together even if it means me being without any money for a month or 2, but thats it.

I'm very excited on GTAV especially when R* announced it and release a trailer. With or w/o a news or info I'm still excited. Cause now that we know that GTAV is coming. I have faith on R* and I know they won't disappoint me on this GTAV.

I'm quite excited, eager and nervous about finally hearing the first real offical preview, info explosion.

The nervous side is coming from the bombshells that they may drop like they did with IV when they comfirmed planes were out.

It's pretty evident that we really need some new info soon. The posts here are starting to repeat themselfs and that trailer has been went over with a fine tooth comb and every pixel has been inspected.

I was much more excited about GTA IV than V, but that's because it was a huge next gen leap from GTA III era, so I was excited how will gta look with the new technology. I'll probably get excited on another next gen gta.
