GTA V Reward System

Respect. Power. Appeal!

Do you guys think the currency system in GTA V is going to be what makes it a stand out in the series?

I cant remember a time in a past GTA games when I was allowed to flex my wallet and get things done the way most people do in real life such as paying off the cops, controlling my business decisions- such as price or by selling that white(cocaine). What will be the the purpose of having ALL THAT MONEY and nothing changes in means of respect, power and appeal?

In SA and VCS we got a little beta of a great system of those things that made me a lot of dead presidents but lost it in GTA IV due to the need of friends (dependency). We had to play a game of bowling(in which we couldn't hit our friends in the head with the bowling ball) or darts(again) just to a establish some sort of relationship. I like to earn my friends the American way by shoving loads of cash down their throats. sigh.gif

The reward system should allow players the ability to make decisions based on the amount of capital they have; like the ability to hire help on a mission such as a sniper from a helicopter(heads popping shells dropping) or receive oral sex while driving from a successful date. inlove.gif I mean allowing this to happen will make the game feel more aesthetic and a sense of achievement.

I just hope we don't continue doing chores for fat mob bosses until their hearts desire with the means they supply.

What perks do you guys see the money bringing you in a game like GTA V?

Yeah I believe money should play a bigger role, now I don't see why you brought up IV's friend system in this, unless you mean you'd like to be able to give people cash. Why not, I'd rather just go bowling or get sh*t faced, it's cheaper, and you only have to do it a bit, and I liked the dialogue during the drives.

Hireling help on missions would be cool, or being able to call certain friends on missions would be nice, you can give them a cut, the more they like you the less of a cut they'd take at the end. Though ethier way it wouldn't be a big cut. Heck maybe even just some hired gun you can find and pay would be cool, meet some guy on a missions whose willing to go in guns blazing for a price.

I'd also like to see the ability to buy and manage property return, maybe something like the empire feature in VCS. Just update it a bit, and make it so you don't just buy a blank lot, or lot with a small building on it, make it so you'd restore and improve existing places, it irked me in VCS how the propriety you managed for the empire seemed like it was just thrown in there last minute, though everything else with that feature made the game stand out, and even though it was a pre-quell game made it stand out quite a bit in the franchise.

Buying off cops would be nice, but you should have to be at lower wanted levels say one or two stars and as you're being busted you'll be able to press a button and pay them off. Now this won't get rid of your wanted level it'll only make it so it'd be like you were in hiding, if you see some cops in the search area that weren’t near you when you bought you're freedom the chase would be on again.

I hope money has more perks, and allot more to spend the money on too, this time around.

Agreed on all points. I don't just want to play darts,i want to do more with the cash I got. I got 5mil in the bank "hey wanna go see some strippers?" I would have enough money to take them back to my place and really boost my appeal with my friends, not just watching them dance sigh.gifinlove.gif

Yeah the bottom line is they need to give us more things to spend our dosh on... Paying off cops and empire building are things which would keep me interesting in the game for the long term

Hmm, Scarface: The World is Yours ring a bell?

And oral sex? NO! Just no; not in a video game even if it is R*.

Even in Battlefield 3 their usage brings more tactical strategies to the game.

The only reason they got away with it is because it was INDIRECTLY REFERENCED. AS long as that continues, I don't see a problem with it being in the game. Uber, you are right in a way but there has to be NO VISUAL REPRESENTATION OF GENITALIA or it's game over! However, R* claims to have broken this boundary in TLAD so notify.gif at this point.

I like the idea of weapon attachments, but what does this have to do with money, besides being able to buy them?

He never said there'd be in visible genitalia did he? He just said there'd be some road head while driving, it'd most likely just look like IV's hooker acts and be pretty vauge.

Anyhow weapon upgrades would be nice, say three upgrades per slot, and you can buy them at what ever gun shops they have in the game.

I also believe Gun modification is in, since in the trailer during the robbery scene you see the people in the Jump suits and masks with Modified AK's

I like Mr.C to the J's idea of

"Mission Passed!

$10000

Respect Upgraded"

But as we gain more respect and money, we make new and better friends, and by the end, we have a whole phonebook filled with names.

The need of an AK with a silencer itself suggest that will be able to add attachments to our weapons.

Yeah you can buy guns all the time in GTA but would you want to unlock some exclusive not found in stores after completing a couple of missions for someone.
