friendly luggage
Ok on your motherboard is there any other cards installed which are next to your graphics card blocking your fan? If they're really close it will block the air intake causing temperatures to go really high. If there is a sound card or something blocking the fan move it along a slot if you can. This computer is it a dell or hp etc or a custom built pc? You should have a fan at the front of your case blowing in and one on the back blowing out. [EDIT] Nothing is overclocked is it? mkey82
What's the exact temp you're getting and what's the GPU fan speed at that moment?
mizdot
custom pc , card is far from anythin else in case , front+rear fans in case work . nvr had problemes with high graphic games , got battlefield 3 at max settigs and many other games and gpu nvr overheated . game and card at minimal settings and still overheats ...might be game not compatible to new os/pc ? maibe it cuz of the win7 64bit not supported .... maibe they can release patch to make game compatible to new PCs? yoječ
80-90C isn't really that high.
friendly luggage
80-90 seems too high though, what temps do you reach in BF3? Get MSI afterburner and while you're running GTA IV set the GPU fan speed higher and see what happens to the temps.
Exxon
I believe the GTX 4xx series was known for its higher temperatures?
