Rhoda
Lost in translation. Not to worry, even I have trouble with the English language sometimes. Moving on! Today I present to you a series of photographs. Nothing too unusual or interesting at first glance, but think about this - these were taken in the early 1900s, and are in full colour. It's odd to think how timeless some aspects of these photographs are, especially those shots of the Sphinx and the Taj Mahal. Bonus points if you spot the most disastrous looking plane since the Wright brothers' attempt. Here's my favourite: Do let me know if you come across any broken links too please. Oh, and because I'm feeling generous...

trip
Why is she in that box? She was condemned to die of starvation. It states it later on the that page towards the bottom. It totally adds a creepy edge to the photo. I love those photos. I remember checking out a bunch a few months ago. I think they really add a true perspective since normally we look at old bw photos and think the world was void of color back then. Rhoda
One of the reasons I added the video was to relieve the suffering in most of those photos, I didn't want to go down a morbid route, heh.

Rhoda
You're lucky I'm awake. For some, snow is a rare treat at Christmas. For others, it's a pain in the arse. Whatever your stance, almost everyone agrees that it doesn't often feel like Christmas without it, or at least one good snowfall. If you're in an area that doesn't see much snow (Manchester and Bosnia are two examples), have a play with this this little tool that lets you create your own snowflakes. Beat nature at it's own game and make two the same.

Rhoda
I suppose if you save them and do it that way, you could yeah, but there's no way of doing it through the website I don't think. Make a few, stick them together in Paint or something and do it that way if you please.

Rown
Wondering how to change skins? 1: Scroll to the top of the page and click "My Controls" below your name. 2: Look along the side and click "Skin and Languages". 3: Select the skin "GTANET 2k4 Xmas" immediately above the (default) skin. Alternatively for those following along with the picture... 1,2: Put this in your address bar. 3: Select the skin "GTANET 2k4 Xmas" immediately above the (default) skin. Rhoda
I work nights, so sometimes it may appear a little later in the day. It'll seem later if you're elsewhere in the world. To "photo bomb" is truly a 21st century art. The aim? To create an image in the background that draws focus away from the main picture. The only thing better than that? To grab the photo by the balls and take control of the bombing. Sometimes you see something you can't believe. Something incredibly weird, scary, or both. And since you can't stare for fear of being caught, the only thing you can do is bomb a photo of your own so you can stare and admire that thing you saw for hours in the privacy and safety of your own dwelling and show everyone you know. That's the way of the world. Click the photo for the full list.
KilnerLUFC
Some quality photos on there, and some rather disturbing. This one made me laugh: http://www.comedycentral.com/tosh.0/files/2009/10/scary.jpg
Rhoda
I suppose in these days of smartphones, it's even easier to snap anything remotely embarrassing or amusing. Combine that with a Twitter or YouTube account and your dignity is curtains.
Twang.
I remember something like that from a Cheech and Chong movie. Chong was pretending to take a picture of Cheech but was really doing it to get a shot of some chick behind him.
Rhoda
An artist's only concern is to shoot for some kind of perfection, and on his own terms, not anyone else's. Well, we're a week in. Let's wreck the place. Hold on, somebody's beat us to it. No no no, course not. To make up for the the slightly morbid collection from the other day, and in keeping with the theme of photos, here are some of the world's rarest opportunities captured on camera. Fancy seeing a frozen Niagra Falls? How about black surgeons treating a member of the KKK with such warming urgency? Remember who you are this Christmas, and love yourself as much as you love others. After today, I won't share so many photographs, I promise. They're such a cop out!
Robinski
These are great! You've no idea how much I love this photo: And also no idea how much this photo will always scare the sh*t out of me. Adler
Anyone know what happened to this fellow afterwards? He'd have to be a real dick not to have had a change of heart after that. Rhoda
I am going by GMT. I posted 7 on the 7th. Sure, it's the 8th now but I work nights and I find it difficult to organise my posts and find the content after 12 hours of work. @Adler: I don't know the story behind it. You could always try TinEye which is a reverse image search. It'll look for pages that contain that image and present them to you. If you didn't know about it, consider that an early part of day 8. You could always try TinEye which is a reverse image search. It'll look for pages that contain that image and present them to you. If you didn't know about it, consider that an early part of day 8. Even better these days is google reverse image search. Just go to the search for images tab on google then drag a picture onto the tab, then once it's switched to google, onto the search bar*. It's much better than Tineye in that it's got a lot more of the internet archived, and it gives you results in a number of categories: it has a guess at what the actual image is, shows you the same image in different sizes, shows you visually similar images, and also pages on which the image is featured. It's quite sad that Tineye's brilliant idea just couldn't stand up to Google's might. Anyway, RIS that image on Google leads you to quite a disappointing Snopes page. *EDIT: You can also just got to the Google Images page and click the little camera icon in the search bar, which lets you do the search via the image url.
