KilnerLUFC
Haha, love how they say this every winter, before the snow starts falling, then run and hide when it gets heavy. Latest photo from someone living down Yorkshire: http://i.imgur.com/FItUo.jpg Hope that sh*t comes down to West Yorkshire. All we've had around my area was sleet and some very light snow, but it hasn't really settled. I hope it picks up so I can have a few days off college, just like last year. Thought it had hit West Yorkshire? All my friends on FB mentioned it was snowing around the Bradford area yesterday, and the picture I posted is from someone who lives in Skipton, just on the border. Well, from what I know, we haven't had any settle in the Huddersfield/Dewsbury area, though my friend who lives in nearby Bradford couldn't make it in to college today. Apparently, a lot of roads in his area were bad. Photos like this keep popping up on my FB, and people are advising each other about being careful on the roads, so it must be pretty 'bad' down there at the moment. Bradford did get a bit bad, I'm glad the Yeadon/Guisley area escaped at least I can still get to work without skidding off the road.

KilnerLUFC
So, it snows in Yorkshire, and snows up Scotland...but leaves the middle out. Still, doubt it will be that long before I wake up to a white scene....hopefully...

Still, doubt it will be that long before I wake up to a white scene....hopefully... Not all of Yorkshire, it seems to have missed the Wakefield, Dewsbury and possibly the inner Leeds area. It's only snowed around Bradford, Yeadon and that because of how high up it is.

Slamman
I was told this morning it snowed South of where I'm at, and my brother had to plow since he does those jobs. Here it's cleared out of constant gloom and the sun came out, but SADLY, we're to bounce from 10 below zero wind chills to 30 for a high, before delving back to 11 the next day, but then it'll warm up again! Chance of flurries I guess, but no major snow in the Central regions

Viperman
Fu*k you lot and your snow. Apparently we're due some sun with cloud. that made me laugh - [- No Fear. No Limits. No Equal. -] - - [- Ride For Life -] - Digging deep. It's not just an expression that's thrown around the locker room at halftime. It's a way of life. A daily code that drives a champions existence. It's not always glamorous. It's not always blue skies and sunny days, and its certainly not always welcome. But love it or hate it, to become a true champion take pure, unrestricted commitment. Notna
Now we have much of snow here. It's weird that two days ago there wasn't a sight of snow at now there's almost half a meter of it. I am extremely glad and happy.
-Bruce-
We have got just black ground...it's the first time i see that no snow has fallen by this date. There is some white sh*t in some places, but that will melt most likely soon. We'll see if snow comes.
Slamman
Even now, a dusting the other day is all we had, NO REAL snow, and it looks to stay about the same again all week, temps close to 40 for a high, and low in the teens, 10 or single digits possible, COLD, man, just plain COLD and very little snow on the ground. The Jetstream is dipping down South for sure

OzzySM12
We had snow in Scotland at the start of the week which was quite bad. Then hurricane bawbag (Scottish are best at naming their hurricanes ) hit and we had 165mph winds which caused a load of damage. One thing that was actully quite cool was a wind turbine exploding;
SmC12
Yeah I laughed when the news reporters hesitated on what to say, they were like "There has been.. er.. hurricane strength winds..". I got the day off school so I wasn't complaining. Was pretty bad though, and weird after this time last year when it was snow that was the problem. So far we're lucky if it even sticks around for more than a day.
GTA_stu
Well on tuesday my dad slipped on some ice and broke his knee cap in 7 places. The hospital said he was the first casualty of the winter.

They asked if I wanted to head home as I live in another town and the road to it is basically through a wood, so not the best road to drive on when there are high winds... ice... snow... or anything other than sun But just as I said I would hang off to finish what I was doing all the power went out. Was fun running round saving stuff and shutting down 7 computers before the UPS died
AlexGTAGamer
I was just about to mention those hurricane type winds in Scotland and Northern England but I see I've been beaten to it. EDIT: Forgot to mention how cold it's getting around here in Bristol and the South West. When I went downtown on Wednesday and when I went to Ashton Court today I was dressed like an Antarctic explorer. Slamman
I was just out and about, haulin' hay/straw for my dad. It's cold, bundle up! haha I had my wool pants, several layers of jacket/shirt, gloves, a neck warmer for the lower half of my face, a hood, and cap, and all that, it wasn't below zero, but I was prepped for some time outside THIS winter
trip
I was just out and about, haulin' hay/straw for my dad. Glad to see you are earning your keep. I never minded hauling straw, but hey sucked because it was so much heavier. It is still oddly not very winter like here. 7:30pm now and it is actually 50f outside. That is a good thing because my car is in the shop and I had to use my motorcycle to pick up beer. Getting the xmas tree and hanging the outdoor lights didn't really feel the same this year since I didn't need anything more than a long sleeve shirt. I have this bad feeling we will be under 3ft of snow soon enough though.
