BabeRuth
uhh...you people should know he's thinking of GTA SA, cause it's in GTA SA GAMEPLAY; you have to get you liscense by completing the "LEARNING TO FLY MISSION" thats how you can get your liscense, which can be shown in this video(s) right here. (NOTE: there are more videos but i'm not going to list them all if you wanna see the rest of the videos go to this link/page) http://www.youtube.com/results?search_quer...7l887l1.2.2l5l0 (NOTE: the mission befor Learning to fly is "Verdant Meadows") (NOTE: the mission after Learning to fly is "N-O-E")
OrionSR
You can earn a pilot's license that will allow the gates to open right from the beginning of the game. All you need to do is climb the gatehouse and from inside the gates will open long enough for a vehicle to enter. Then fly the Shamal or Dodo around for a while. When you reach 20% flight skill the gates will open when CJ approaches, allowing for easier access. If you are playing on PC or Xbox be sure to avoid flying off the edge of the map. There is a possibility that you will cross a zone that will cause the Taxi mission to glitch so no fares ever appear. On PS2 flying off the map will cause extra gang turfs to appear, which may or may not be something you want. I think this might only work on PS2v1, I'm not sure. Also, be careful to avoid flying into restricted areas of the map or a Hydra will come to shoot you down. The "official" pilot's license earned from the flight school will unlock more aircraft all over the map. This will also unlock the airport gates if you haven't done this already. lil weasel
Early Access to the Airport Flying Fields: Jump onto the Guardhouse roof (if CJ is too Fat use a car as a stepping stone) or otherwise sneak onto the field. Steal either the Dodo or the Jet. Fly in circles over the Los Santos Island. If you enter the air space of the other islands (before they are opened) you will be shot down. If you fly the Dodo it will take about 32 minutes RT (real time). If you fly the Jet if will take 12 minutes RT. If you chose to wait and enter the San Fierro field you can only fly the Maverick ‘copter. It takes about an Hour RT If you think you can play it cool by taping down the control and fly out to sea for the time you will Glitch the game. When you succeed the game will tell you “You have a Pilot’s License”. Yes, you do have access to all the AirPorts, BUT you will still have to do the “Learning to Fly” School later in the game. There is no way around it. After getting the Official License from the School you can fly any of the planes at the Airports. At 30% flying skill a parachute is automatically added, while flying, too.
