I don't think it will show the map, it will probably clear up the protag. thing, it will definately show more footage, and will tell us once and for all what cities will and will not appear. IMHO.

I like seeing the map but I honestly think it's a bit early. I also think they handled the SA map really well by revealing it in thirds over three months... it really hyped me up! I think the protagonist thing is what we're most likely to get and will put all the whacky rumors to rest once and for all. The revealing of other cities feels like extremely desperate thinking to me... though I have to admit I still have my fingers crossed for a little slice of Mexico complete with border

The next trailer will definitely be about the protagonist. They opened with revealing the location, so revealing the protagonist and a little bit of his backstory next make sense. After that they will probably make a trailer with clips from different missions, introducing the supporting cast and storyline. Then they will probably reveal more of the map and maybe show some gameplay stuff.

Personally, I’d love to see a release date my self, It’s driving my nuts, once I get a release date I won’t have to worry any longer. And hopefuly it'll be in mid 2012.

 

But I think they're going to clear up the whole protag thing with the next trailer, maybe show off some new cars and things, and maybe some more focus on the country side.

I don't care to much about the protags story until I buy the game and start playing. MOre interested in the technical aspects of the game.

 

I would love to see the map but would hate that at the same time. That's a real treat checking out for the first time playing it. I doubt any trailer would show the map.

My guess is we'll see the protagonist/s, plus the darker side of the game (gangs, other areas of crime). We'll also get to see more of the city, and some of the new features.

I am not too big on speculating so I won't, but i would think knowing the release date would just make me start making days off a calendar like I am doing time in jail. Man I can not wait for this game!

They may never show us the map. With GTA IV, they only showed us a vague outline of it prior to release. They said they didn't want to "spoil the surprise". I disagree - seeing the full map for SA prior to release only made me more excited, so I hope they do the same with GTA V. It's fun looking at the different streets and wondering what's there..

I'm trying to take this question seriously as if dan housnar asked me himself. So here it goes

 

The map would be good because i saw a fake one yesterday but it looked legit. It was awesome to check it out and figure out where they'd put the mounties ect once again it was fake and i knew that but it looked believable however what gave it away in my mind was the city was way too small compared to all the land they had for forest , desert ect. so yeah a map would be good because it can help give you clues about the setting,storyline where things will take place ect

 

Gameplay footage. I'm not sure about this on one hand it would be great because you'd get to see what the character looks like in gameplay and get a feel for how the game will be set out. However this is the sort of thing they could screw you with for example they might only show you a 5 second clip of the gameplay and thats not really going to gives us a heap of info to work with and think about

 

Protagonist revealed. This would be awesome because we'd finally know who where playing as and if their's more than one protag allthough one could argue gta iv had more than one protag niko,johhny,louis. Anyway this would give us alot to talk/think about but i dunno after seeing the first trailer we kinda allready know where playing as another niko type character

 

the whole san andreas. not being a jerk but in my mind i know this aint happing but since it's part of the question i'll answer The only real thing i'd gain from this is corfirming it's only los santos HOWEVER if i did pick this and it was the whole san andreas i think i'd have a stroke from joy and excitment i WANT to gamble in ventaruas again !!!!! so badly

 

So theirs my foughts for some reason it keeps coming back to the map for w/e reason i guess it's just for closure so i KNOW what i'm getting into/excited about

That's actually the most practical IMO. Maybe not an exact date, but a "coming next winter" would be nice.

LOL so true i love gta iv like my own son ( I don't really have a son) But the map sucked and i can see why they WHERE ashamed of it. It probably would've of hurt sales with causal gamers

 

 

However when you have a map as big,exciting as S.a you're best bet is showing that to the world a.s.a.p because something that awesome will attract people to buy the game like moth's to a flame

What I would LIKE to see? The release date, of course, and gameplay + reveal of the playable character would be cool too. But if I have to be realistic, I think the next batch of info will reveal the name of the protagonist, *maybe* some screens, and some information too.
