jaydm1
ok, so i downloaded Chongs Wheel Pack and installed it properly, and it worked, but all of a sudden i couldnt modify any of the cars in Wheel Arch Angels that should be modifyable in there, either that or the bumpers would be huge and the exhausts would drag along the ground. But, like a spoon i didnt back up the original GTA3 file like i should have. So to bypass this i just reinstalled the game.. But, still i have the same problem, i checked my GTA3 file with the image tool and the mods i put there for the wheels are still there. Does anyone know how i can get around this? I mean like, how to get rid of the files i put in there because reinstalling the game doesnt seem to work, I have tried it twice now and still i get the same problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Girish
1. Uninstall the game. 2. Delete any leftover files (if any) or the entire San Andreas folder, if it's still there. 3. Delete the gta_sa.set file from the User Files folder. 4. Reinstall the game. Let us know if it still doesn't work.
jaydm1
Ok, so i tried what you said, uninstalled the game, deleted the file from where the saves are, and checked to see if there was anything left in program files etc. Reinstalled the game and its still the same, i would have thought that uninstalling the game would have solved the problem as its all fresh files etc. But i still have the same problem, the Uranus is no longer Modifyable in Wheel Arch Angels (could be for a different reason mind you, i have modified it there before though im sure of it..) and all the wheels i try to put on the cars from Wheel Arch Angels or Transfender are grey and look like Chongs Wheel Pack wheels lol.. Any further Advice? Thanks in advance
lil weasel
More detailed uninstall: If you're on Vista, you'll need to do this: 1) Uninstall SA. 2) Delete the installation folder if it still exists. (e.g. C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas). 3) Delete the Virtual Store copy of the installation folder too. The Appdata folder might be hidden. (e.g. C:\Users\???\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas). 4) Delete the gta_sa.set file from your user files folder. 5) Reboot. 6) Reinstall SA. To Unhide Folders: START > User > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Folder Options> Show Hidden files and Folders. before people here begin investing a lot of time trying to fix a possible NO-FIX situation: What Version (retail, steam, other online store) Edition 1, 2, 3?) Details of How you are playing: 1. With the Original DVD in the Drive? 2. OR are you Using a No-CD crack? (There is No fix to be found on this Forum.) 3. OR are you Using a 'backup' disc? (Fix is to use the Original DVD.) 4. OR do you have a Downloaded game from Direct2Drive, or SteamPowered.com 5. If none of the above, then what is the origin of your game? (Please be specific, as otherwise there may not be a fix to found on this Forum.)
jaydm1
Okidoke, so, let me start this reply by saying thank you, your instructions were perfect and it fixed my Wheel problem. But i still have the problem of bumpers not actually on the car, and stuff like that, but it only happens on certain cars, The Uranus can be modified in Wheel Arch Angels like it should be, but only when its an actual Uranus. If i change it to a 240sx like i had previously done, it wont modify in there like it should. http://s298.photobucket.com/albums/mm268/j...ent=hahawtf.jpg This screenshot can show you what i mean by bumpers not being on the car. The car on the left is a Toyota Supra, which overwrites the Jester in game, i have never had a problem with this car before, and now all of a sudden i do. The car in the middle is a Nissan 240sx which replaces the Uranus, i have had this working before, but this is the vehicle that wont allow me to modify it in WAA when its a Nissan, i had to uninstall the Nissan mod, Modify it as a Uranus and then reinstall the mod to show you what i meant, the car on the right is a Nissan Skyline, which replaces the Elegy, and weirdly enough this looks how it should. Information you requested, My os is Windows 7 Ultimate, i bought the game at gamestation and play it via the disc, it is Version 2 but Patched to Version 1 so i can use the Mods. Again thank you for the wheel fix, it looks much better now. If you can help with the Mod Problem it would be Awesome. Thanks in advance Edited November 30, 2011 by jaydm1
jaydm1
It actually happens to every car i install that can be modified in WAA with the exception of the Skyline i have replaced the Elegy with. even the Impreza that i replaced the Sultan with, even though ive NEVER had a problem with that car when i had it installed on my pc a few years back. I just dont understand
lil weasel
Sad to Say we don't Fix Modding Problems in this part of the Forum. You'll have to take it to the MODDING FORUMs for help with it.
