Bomberlegend
As some of you might of heard, a great comedian Patrice O'Neal has passed away. Most of you would have known his comedic work, but everyone would have heard his work in GTA IV when he played Jeffron James on the WKTT show Fizz! Do you believe R* will leave a tribute in the next game to honor Patrice? I am going to try and send R* an email to raise the idea. And I am sure Lazlow, who was great friends with Patrice, will try to put something in. What are your thoughts?

Jeeebuuus
I was expecting this since I heard he was in the hospital. It sucks. He was very funny on the opie and anthony show and everything else I saw him in. Charlie Sheen roast. True comedic talent gone.

Same here, I was sorta hoping he would pull through, but it didn't look good. Whenever he was on Opie and Anthony, it was gold. The world has lost one very funny man. BroboT800
its f*cked up how they were makin fun of his conditions.. yea, but they did the same thing to Greg Geraldo... AFTER he died... I've began to think that Comedy Central tells them to be as heartless and malicious as they possibly can for the ratings.

PlatypusPedersen
Too bad that he passed away, like many said he was a funny guy, and GTA V could have benefited from having him on a radio station or whatnot. But for all you saying the roasters are heartless, evil etc, it's a roast, what did you expect? It'd be like turning on the Adult Channel and coplain about nudity. And I am 99% sure that Greg Giraldo would love a post-mortem roast, at least I know I would love to see it.
jdrandall38
Damn. Its too bad. It seems like everyone who is on those roasts ends up dying too young. Greg Giraldo and now Patrice. RIP.

Didn't listen to a lot of that station in the game, but just the same, Shame RIP I think if nothing else, they'd print a dedication to him in the manual?!? Doubt they'd do a character for the game. Maybe even mentioning something on their site

jojuinc
I wonder if Rockstar has already started work on the radio aspect of 5. If they have, depending on when they started, Patrice O'Neal may have already done work for the game.
MrcTOtheJ
That is a possibility, I mean they could have all the radio stuff done. Anyhow it's a shame, he was extremely funny. My harts goes out to his friends on Family, R.I.P.

J-B
The Opie and Anthony show was a little less funny today Yeah people tend to be less funny when someone close to them dies. Did they do a remembering piece on him ?
jamieleng
I'm replaying IV at the moment. I shall actually listen to that radio station for once, in memory. How many people that have done voice work in GTA have died? Dennis Hopper (Steve Scott), Chris Penn (Eddie Pulaski) & Keith 'Guru' Elam (8-Ball) & the guy who voiced Claude Speed are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Ruthless_Villain
Yeah people tend to be less funny when someone close to them dies. Yeah I know that thanks, I wasn't asking why it was less funny I was just saying overall the show will be less funny meaning it's missing his charm to the show. To answer your question yes the whole show they were pretty much just reminiscing about past times with him and playing audio clips.

Yeah i'm sure someone will upload it if it's not Opie himself that does it as he has his own youtube channel.
LotusRIP
I don't think so, I bet there's bound to be somebody else out there who has previously worked on a GTA title and passed away since. I don't know who he is, still don't, but the loss of life is always tragic. RIP.

Jeeebuuus
I know everyone who has posted here like his comedy. If you did then you will probably like Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Louis C.K., Richard Prior, Doug Stanhope, Lewis Black. Patrice O'Neal was a rare gem in stand up comedy circles and I don't think that can be understated. Those who understood him, appreciated his craft. He was fearless and that is VERY rare.
