AceRay
I still don't get why people didn't like Mercs 2, though. The only visible downside was the glitches, but I don't think that really hindered the game so much. Or is there another reason I'm missing? Because I haven't played Mercs in ages. You have to remember that it is plagued with bugs. In fact, you could say that instead of being a game with bugs in it, it is a giant bug with bits of game in it. Textures wouldn't load, the camera would get stuck behind objects, it was really just a mess. Its an alright game but the bugs really did kill it. Wayne Daniels
Under-rated: Quack Shot Starring Donald Duck. Really was an amazing game, and don't get me started on the soundtrack! It could have been as big as Mario if given the chance I think Edited March 4, 2013 by gta_aus

Yes there were some pretty major bugs in that game when I look back. A lot of trophies wouldn't register, and this pissed my trophy-hunting self off. Especially the god-damn winch challenge... I think I might play through the game again for old time's sake, and acknowledge just how many bugs there really were. I honestly think I got fairly lucky in my 2 playthroughs of Mercs 2. Radoonhagaydoon
Mercs 1 needs to be a PS2 CLASSIC! -- but nothing wrong with Mercs 2, it's alright--it's just it's bugged, example is that i can't collect some items because it's in the nuked Chinese HQ zone. ._. Still waiting for motherf*cking Mercs 3... Come on EA LOS ANGEL-AS!!

Despite the poor AI (where its easy to destroy buildings because you can just run inside and the guards will keep shooting at you and destroy the building) and general glitches, its not THAT bad. Graphics look okay and there's this really awesome bit early on in this town where its all foggy and you can't see anything and you think you're in a Vietnam War movie, that was really cool I actually liked the whole aspect of Mercs 2 where everyone was an asshole and there were no good guys. Some people complained about how the Allies were still bad but it really did seperate it from some "America F*ck Yeah" situation which a lot of games have. Sadly, the distinct personalities between the characters of Mercs 1 were squished into one personality; Mattias' and they all act the same, so that was a shame. Honestly, if it wasn't really buggy it could have been awesome. But then again JC2 has come out and that pretty much beats it in almost everyway so... meta187
Overrated: Halo - Not because it isn't good for what it is but because with the exception of minor graphical tweaks, weapon changes and minute story progressions, it has refused to turn the corner from being what it originally was. A linear FPS. With the production, map space and resources Microsoft have help pour into that franchise there is so much potential for an open world game but they keep sticking to the same tired formula and I simply can't get excited about them anymore beyond paling around with friends online. Heading for Overrated: Assassins Creed - For such a well written, highly detailed game to be churning out a new game a year like a f*cking franchise sports installment is slightly tragic. It's starting to make me wish they'd just get it over with jump the whole thing forward to present day so that Desmond Mile's can finally meet his destiny as a man with several lifetimes worth of skill in him to face whatever may come with The Templar. Underrated: Brütal Legend - Whhaaaaa??! Isn't that that cartoonish game with Jack Black as the lead rocking out guitar hero style, obviously marketed towards kids who enjoyed Kung Fu Panda? Nope, not really. Admittedly a guilty pleasure but a pleasure never the less, It was also a fully open world rendering of every Heavy Metal fan from the 80's album covers come to life, surprisingly well written, dark in tone and suitably violent. A satire of what Rock music was and ended up becoming over the course of the 80's into present day all feasibly worked into a functional and detailed mythology. The game, a hybrid of the action-adventure and real-time strategy genres, includes Stage Battles in both the single-player and multiplayer mode, where the player must command troops to defeat their foes while defending their own stage. In addition to Black, the game features voices of heavy metal musicians including Lemmy Kilmister, Rob Halford, Ozzy Osbourne and Lita Ford and other celebrities such as Tim Curry, as well as more than one hundred metal songs selected by Schafer for inclusion in the game. Brütal Legend was generally well received by game reviewers, praising Schafer's vision and writing of the heavy metal-inspired world, and the performances of the voice cast, particularly Black and Osbourne. Some felt that the hybrid gameplay of action and real-time strategy games did not mix well, however, blaming console control limitations and missing features normally found in games of either genre. Underrated: Suikoden - Possibly the most charming turn based, RTS hybrid RPG of it's day. Konami need to seriously bring this title forward with a fresh paint job and an actual budget to make it new and relevant again. There are several Facebook Groups on line dedicated to seeing a new one. ~ Studio: Q-13 Lounge / Q:13 Warrior Tunes / Interweb Chex Mix, yo.~

Algonquin Assassin
I just finished Call Of Juarez: The Cartel and Iike it more than I initially did. Almost every review rates it a 4.5/5, but after my run through IMO it's an 8 to me. When I started my first impressions weren't that great, but it grew on me with each chapter. Just the glitches and annoying, repetitive dialogue that I mark it down. Other than that I found the gunplay smooth and one recurring theme I noticed with these reviews is they said it felt repetitive, but I have to wonder have they ever played a FPS before? To me it was no more repetitive than COD or BF. I liked how the game started off in LA in the crime ridden neighbourhoods and slowly worked into Mexico. I wont say too much, but the last chapter had a Scarface like vibe to it. It was awesome. I also liked the idea of stealing things behind your partners' backs. Anyway I wouldn't say it's the best FPS I've played, it's the first game in a while however that I feel is "underrated". It's just just the techincal issues which hold back its true potential. Now I've tried it myself it's not as bad as I once thought.

The Odyssey
Underrated: Simpsons hit and run: I don't know if my nostalgia goggles are kicking in again, but this game was bloody fun. I don't see it acknowledged that much. Grand Theft Auto: The Lost & Damned: I still have no idea why people prefer tbogt over this. Lets examine the things in this game that tbogt doesn't have -A good story -A likeable protagonist - Johnny was that badass, buff character that you don't see any more. Luis was that generic "pussy slayer" guy that was kind of a douche. -An awesome theme - ok, I admit it, the tbogt theme was actually pretty cool -Interesting characters - cause y'know, f*ck Jim, Angus, and Thomas Stubbs. You got Armando and Henrique! Overrated: Slender: Damn this game to hell. It's hardly even scary, requires luck, and brought up the worst fanbase in the world. Halo 4: There was something about this game that made me not like it as much as 2 or Combat Evolved

TLAD is a bfilliant game IMO, but people are typically drawn to flair and self flaunting types of games. Fireman
2 great underrated games that are actually worth a buy considering their ridiculously low price right now: -The Saboteur --- Great story about the nazi times, cool parkour lets you climb anything, lots of weapons, cool melee and stealth combat, special upgradeable perks. Also, possibly the hardest platinum of all ps3 games. The bad part is the blood, it looks so, so, soo unrealistic. Saboteur was really fun to play but I'm pretty sure most people here know of it, so I wouldn't call it underrated it just wasn't a huge success. The Pizza Delivery Guy
Slender: Damn this game to hell. It's hardly even scary, requires luck, and brought up the worst fanbase in the world. Worst fanbase in the world? I must disagree. There are three fanbases I hate more than Slender's that I can name right away: CoD, Sonic, and yes, GTA. I think L.A. Noire is very underrated. It's an amazing game for what it is. The graphics are stunning, especially the facial animations (Oh, god how I love the facial animations) The story(ies) are well written and easy enough to follow that I didn't get lost, but still complicated to the point where it took me a while to figure out the criminal. The driving physics aren't that great, but the game really isn't about the driving, and the city is a decent enough size. The only reason I see L.A. Noire getting bad reputation was because of multiple disks on Xbox (don't have one, don't have an opinion) and the fact it was published by Rockstar, so people expected it to be a GTA clone. It wasn't and people weren't too excited. I think gaming consumer bases should open their mind and not expect everything in every game made by the same company to be the exact same. (besides EA because... well they pretty much do make the same game constantly repackaged.) Tl;dr, L.A. Noire = underrated

Eagles
Portal 1 and 2 are awesome games, but only a few people who liked Portal played Quantum Conundrum. I just finished it right now and it was a very fun game to play. It follows the same idea from Portal, where you have to complete the puzzles to get to the next room, but instead of a gun launching portals, you have a glove where you can change the normal dimension to fluffy, heavy, anti-gravity and slow-mo. Anyone who likes puzzle games should try it, as it is not so known as Portal.

ccrogers15
Overrated:Resident Evil 6 How is one of the most hated, despised games in the franchise somehow seen as overrated? Is calling it terrible somehow like covering it in gold? Most of the major sites, they reviewed it pretty well, aside from IGN, which is rare as IGN is known to take bribes to rate a game GOTY. Eitherway, its a bad game, but not the worst. RE 5 was the worst imo. It 100% swayed away from the resident evil formula. At least RE6 brought back zombies... kinda. Because he likes to bitch about the same things over and over again whenever he can as much as he can. Problem?
