ending mission, cause i could not figure out where to jump the bike at until i found out there was a ramp sitting there. Curse the horrible NAV they have for this game.

Hardest for me was the final mission where you have to get into the boat and make it to the Annihilator in time so you can climb onto it. There are so many random little things that can screw you up, like if the waves are too choppy you'll be slowed down and won't make it, if the incline of the boat is wrong, etc. Took me about 20 tries to finally catch that helicopter.

+agree

Russian Revolution/The Master and the Molotov/etc. missions that force you into Broker are very difficult as well.

  • 2 weeks later...

I remember not really enjoying the one where you've got to pick up the heroin from the abandoned hospital and EVERY POLICE OFFICER IN THE WORLD arrives! That one was a pain in the ass.

Also, when you're in the helicopter and you've got to chase and take down the other helicopter. Landing that thing was a bitch.

Three Leaf Clover took me a couple of go's, but the doing of was fairly straightforward in the end. I found the hardest part of that was losing the wanted level.

The Snow Storm, I played the mission for the first time a day after I got the game, and I constantly got killed. I was almost about give up and use cheats when I made it on a final try.

if you need help with that mission here the video for that

i dont know how to do and

OMG, I didn't realise you could escape in a boat! wow.gif

"Catch the Wave". Phil Bell has no concept of using cover, and constantly stands right in the middle of the warehouse, getting pumped full of led and failing the mission for me.

"The Snow Storm" is easy once you learn how to jump out of a window in the back of the warehouse. Hell, I think with enough caution, you could get the coke and get out without killing anyone.

What?!?! Man!

I just recently started a new game and I unlocked Algonquin so I just did Snow Storm mission and I died 4 times, so annoying, seriously in real life u can't get out of that house without a shot hittin u. The hard thing about that one is that u can get completely surrounded, I play without autoaiming n that makes that mission so hard, still like it though.

Then the one with Phil, catch the wave I believe?, is really hard cus Phils so stupid. As someone mentioned already he just enters after awhile n gets completeley pounded w shots from all directions

If you turn the radar off, then missions become a lot harder. I had to try Manny's mission where you chase the train three times cause I went the wrong way.

If anyone is listening, I say turn the radar off, it makes everything a lot more intense.

I am, I didn't know u were able to, I'll try it for sure! I found out after completing the game for the 3rd time that u can turn off autoaim tounge.gif

Lets face it, there are no hard missions in GTA IV.

Maybe with every enemy highlighted on the radar and every street presented on the minimap, but turn those off and its a whole different ball game.

indeed, tried it today. Just escaping the cops is tricky

I never really had any trouble with any of the missions while playing through normally, apart from Hostile Negotiation due to my dodgy aiming in the last part of the mission and A Revenger's Tragedy as I could never catch up to the chopper while in the boat.

Having said that, AceRay is right. Its a completely different game when you turn off the minimap.

Liquidize the Assets, HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT!

Other than that, the last mission was not really difficult. Only on my first try it was because I thought I needed top speed to do the jump.

Three Leaf Clover wasn't THAT difficult. If you can fight cops for 4 hours straight, Three Leaf Clever is gravy (hehe, Pegorino reference =])

None were really "Difficult" but I did get frustrated trying to jump onto the chooper in the chooper mission.

Yep I agree 100%

I still have problems with Catch The Wave too.

What's interesting is that with every playthrough I fail missions that I've never failed before and I also get used to missions I really sucked at in the very beginning like Three Leaf Clover or The Snow Storm. At least it keeps the game interesting.

Nice username broski. cool.gif

To add, the reason I suck at "No.1" is because I suck at driving, full stop. I've practised driving in the game since 2008 and I still suck at it.

The bank heist mission. That was Three Leaf Clover? I died so many times, it was not funny. I remember I screwed up pooch on one attempt, literally around the corner from his house at the end of the mission tounge.gif

It was an interesting and good mission but it was so hard!

For me, it's the Trespass mission.

The problem there is, if you have Auto-Aim, like I had, disabled, that it is very hard to spot enemies there before they start shooting at you. It is very dark inside the sprunk factory, the enemies are wearing dark clothes and worst of all: They don't appear on the radar.

However, after you are out of the factory, the remaining part of the mission is a cakewalk.

For me its the puerto rican connection the amount of times I went straight on to a dead and couldn't figure out how to find the track again. Also I had a lot of trouble with Paper Trail initially largely because of my inability to control the chopper.

THE PURTO RICAN CONNECTION!!!!!! whoever came up with that mission should have their arms and legs broken 1 by 1

The first time I played the deal final mission, I found it very hard and struggled to complete it. Once I'd done it several times though, I knew what I was doing.

I must agree with this. This is what made the mission difficult.

Now that you all mention the radar, I'm going to try doing missions with it off as well.

I fail Snow Storm many times, but manage to finish it using the boat to escape

To be Honest, I found "Babysitting" is hard, because the Squalo could flip easily. I tried the mission 5 times. First time, Derrick is dead. 2nd time, Squalo is wrecked. 3rd time, Kim is dead. 4th time, Squalo is wrecked once again. And finally, succeeded in the 5th time.
