jadeskyee Posted November 29, 2011 Share Posted November 29, 2011 I bought sa from direct2drive which is v3. I used the downgrade patch and downgraded to v1. I have tried several saved games which I downloaded and the game keeps crashing. I know the saved games version has to be the same as my game, so I downloaded v1 saves but it still crashes. Sometimes it crashes as soon as the game starts other times I can play for about 10 minutes then it crashes. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I lost all my personal saved games when I had to reinstall windows so I was trying to download some. I have tried using the save game editor but the game still crashes. The V3 is supposed to be non-moddable, but Radioman will be here soon to explain the limitations he found. In the mean time: […] I have the Steam version(V3) and script mods work great on it. I have tested this out with the Real-Names mod, Dem's Mods and code tools, Orion's .ipl for the extra Chain Game armory stuff, editing the shopping.dat folder and those work great just as they do on the V2 games. I just wanted to be able to use cleo mods and just mod the game in general but without the downgrade I couldn't.
