ZDANZ96
I think I have the most different ancestors here. They are: -Spanish; -Portuguese; -Native American; -German; -Italian; -Turkey; -Saudi Arabian. I am pretty much a mix of cultures and colors . I have a light brown skin, known as "moreno", straight dark brown hair and honey-colored eyes. I am not tall, yet I am taller than Girish, as he posted times ago on a topic about average person height. Straznicy
I've always been keenly interested in my ancestry, to the extent that I have actually researched it with some conviction. Simply put, I'm basically Irish with a bit of Ulster Scot, Orkney Viking and isolated French and Russian ancestry. I'd recommend researching your genealogy to anyone who's interested and has a bit of spare time; the documentation is pretty easy to trace these days. Definitely helps you define yourself as a person, and opens your eyes to how diverse we all actually are. I'm sure some of you probably have an impression that you and your family hail from one particular land, and have done so for aeons. Go back as few as three-four generations and you'll probably find an anomaly. S'interesting.

Chorup
From record, my ancestors have pretty much all been Macedonian. The culture back then was to generally marry someone of the same ethnicity. I've also heard that I have a Turkish ancestor or relative, who would have married into the family during the time of Ottoman occupation. Otherwise, I like to think of myself as a direct descendant of Alexander the Great. There are a bunch of DNA tests that anyone can access which apparently highlights who your ancestors may have been and even the ancient tribes or groups you descend from. It sounds interesting, but I question the accuracy. Regardless, it seems like a good way to find people who have the same or similar ancestor through the use of a database system, as well as a range of other statistics/information. Naomi
Irish - convict Koori - Aboriginal I'm the 'white sheep' of the family, they're all dark, I'm the only whitey. My mother thought they gave her the wrong baby when she was presented with a blue eyed blonde. It's was just one of those recessive gene moments. My son's half Spanish. We like to mongrel it up and keep it interesting in my family.

chris
As always happens in these threads, someone will post about being a Campbell (I know there's like at least 3 of us on here) and how awesome our crest is. I will be that person. I don't know much about my mam's side, except that there's some Irish blood in there that ended up in me via Liverpool. We are oddly similar in that respect then, me dad's a Campbell but my mum's a McCabe which roots from Ireland and i live in Liverpool, weird yo! I wonder if we're somehow related? Imagine if two scottish brothers came to Liverpool a few hundred years ago, had a few bevvies in town and ended up shagging some irish birds in a bar, falling in love and then one of them deciding to move to Newcastle and the other stayed in Liverpool making us two decendants of scottish party animals and easy irish poon.
