Third Question : Is It Prohibited To Dwonload Mods And Add Them To GTA ? Dear Modders, I Have those 3 question in modding GTA ......... Me And My Friends Are Modding GTA - Vice City And It Is Halfway Done. But i need your permission to add Created Mods To Our Game ( A Total Modification We Are Making by changing the Language And Textures ).. Can I Get Someones Help For this Massive project cuz the Whole Sri Lankan GTA Gamers Are Waiting For This. So I really need assistand from A Pro Modder... So um waiting For A Reply soon to discuss this Matter.. All of the answers to a questions are negative. Though you need to obtain licence (buy e.g GTA SA) to have it legally. You can not include other modders' work in your total conversion without getting their permission first. Modding is encouraged by Rockstar and you will not get in trouble for releasing mods. 1. When you release your mod you can not just provide the whole VC folder for the user to download - that is illegal. You must only include files you added or changed and instructions on how to install them. 2. You cannot modify the exe file and redistribute it. That is illegal. 3. You cannot make people pay to use your mod. That may not be entirely illegal but it sure won't make Rockstar or the modding community happy. As long as you are doing things on your own instead of just downloading others' mods and redistributing them as a pack and are putting creativity and effort into the mod you should be fine. Thnx a Lot!!!!!!!!!!! U gave me a good idea and um really appreciating it.. Its hard to get permission from the modders to place their mods in my conversion so i decided to put all of their names and links of their GTAGARAGE Profile.. Is it ok? Car mods are mods too, it is forbidden by gtanet to include and re-distribute any mod without the original author giving you written permission so that written permission can be posted as proof that you are allowed to use it.
