OMG i can't believe i'm about to say this,

 

Does Beta 2 have sounds from SA?

I never cared for them but after seeing some original San Andreas gameplay i fell in love with Police signal sound as well as the horn on cars and gun shots?

Well, think if they had more guys in the team, MAP CONVERTERS, and so...

 

If was thinking... They are scripters, so, they don't have that great experience with map converting. You don't have experience with scripting... So if you could help them converting, they could help you scripting (example: missions biggrin.gif)

 

Well, just thinking...

 

Would be cool if you give them some help converting smile.gif

I rather use Leadwerks or CryEngine for this then Unity. But if i'd have to choose i'd work on Grit

OnTopic: Claude looks good.. But do you use CS Models? I hope so, because the CS Characters does more fit to IV because they habe 3D Eyes and mouth interiors...

Well , there are many new sounds that wasnt in Beta 1, i cant work in sounds this days but im gonna do a final revision in sounds to see if something is missing.

 

I have a extreme creativity in making videos but i dot have a powerful PC to record on high and a good FPS count, but anyway after i have my iPod buyed im planning to update my video card.

Personally, I'd like to see a complex scene in San Andreas compared with a similar scene in IV:SA.

Does we expecting Ped Paths in Beta³? i mean Tomix and his ped factory convert some peds and we make paths for it.

 

EDIT: Please update the vehicle paths for adding more vehicles we have many other vehicles that wasnt appear in the Paths (im tired of mesas, clovers and blistas, thats for Beta² , and replace the police car to the FBI car to appear because the FBI car is police car. well at least there are 2 models for police and 1 for the FBI , and i hope FBI Rancher appears.)

But in Unity is way easier to devolop. You could have cars and pedestrians around by now.

But Unity is a crap engine, Basically i'd rather be playing GTA: San Andreas than Andreas on Unity, GTA IV/San Andreas on crynegine would be great,

CryEngine is pure physics. we can get photorealistic graphics on RAGE with no problems.

We have converted vehicles path why we cant convert Ped Paths?

It's not a "crap" engine, obviously is not CryEngine nor RAGE. I guess you can say the same thing about GritEngine, just because it's not developed by a Company that makes millons of dolars per month.

 

Anyways, I will stop the offtopic. Not worth it.

EL, u have no idea what ur talking about. your just a 'sound guy' you wouldn't understand what random and i did to get this far.

 

The difference in vehicles is also controlled by another file, cargrp.dat, that one should be edited, not the paths itself.

goin-god, what point is unity, they will never achieve what rage can, for one. Secondly, if u have a small team, and with unity u can do everything, where would you start and what would you do? We just work until new openiv resources are available.

If we want to add SNT to the Setup we need to edit it to be adequated with the mod (like car names be the same as car models that appears in the SNT)

 

Well if SNT author give us permission we can do that , i think its so simple open the ASI and edit it.

Depends on what you do with it to make it look better.

I didn't say it would look better in Unity (although, with enough work, it could since Unity is much more flexible than modding a game. But it's not worth it to convert a map from another game) what I meant is that it could look very similar in Unity in terms of realism, it obviously wouldn't feel like IV.

 

And (speaking about what can be done in Unity to make it better) you can generate normals map from the map textures in Unity itself. Obvoiusly not as good as hand made normals, but I don't think you guys will do that in IV:SA anyways.. right?

EverLost... Ped pathes not depends on RMS abilities. Its not been researched yet. And usualy its done by 3Doomer

A pure coincidence. It was simply time for a new version, to fix some issue and add a few things as well.

 

As regarding your previous message, editing the asi isn't something you want to do if all you want to do is change vehicle names, that can be done by editing trainer.ini, which is massively more easier then editing a dll.

They aren't lazy, they have done so much for this mod already i can understand them not being bothered or just being lazy.
