Just out of intrest how many betas are you planning before full version?

That really remains to be seen.

 

Probably still many more to come... we are only on IV:SA 0.3 Beta. A lot to go to reach 1.0(full version)

By the time this mod is finished GTA V will be out anychance of GTAV support dont know if this is possible (and you probably will not till it comes out) as both are on same engine I know if this is possible it will reaquire a lot of editing but it would be worth it.

That completely depends if openiv still exsists when GTAV is out.

Might even see IV's LC ported to GTA V, with all the GTA V improvements avalable that is.

so you want to replace a ratlike city with an awesome map?

Well if IV's LC was ported to GTA V you would get to enjoy it with the GTA V improvements, like graphics, planes, whatever else they put in the game.

V will most likely be announced for 12' release and delayed to March 13' which was the answer to that hint located inside the EFLC retail box all along

 

Following Rockstar's ordinary patterns in bussiness I can't even bare mentioning that PC may be in our hands in late 13'/14' entry

Lets see if we can try to make it look like he is standing.

 

Doesn't the player stand up when you drive a Police boat or a Tug boat? Maybe there is a line we can change so this happens.

 

The current position is fine for flying, but when your on the ground, it probably looks silly.

I know. I saw that mod on GTAInside, unless you converted it, then I saw a mod like it.

 

Edit: We may be able to make it more like GTA SA if someone codes a .asi, .net, or .sco script for it. We may even be able to make the animation for taking it off more realistic by using the remove parachute animation from TBOGT.

We should adapt that script for IV SA. But the place they should of used in that mod for the background should of been Brucie's Garage.

 

Edit: Maybe we should port SA's car color table to IV. Not really important. I think the IV ones are better, but SA's would match the cars more.

Thank you! I wish there was a way to control how many gears a vehicle has (maybe there is, but I'm unaware of it). The only vehicle with one gear is the Caddy but it only exists in EFLC. Even the forklift has multiple gears. confused.gif

iPod tuch safari likes crashing when your finishing typing the last sentance. Now I have to retype it all.

 

Anyway the number of gears is probably controlled in the handling.dat. Not 100% though, it could be in the vehicles.ide, but I think it's most likely in the handling.dat. You could try using the caddy's lines.

Yeah it is handling.dat, pretty straight forward too.

I agree that the bikes sound is a little loud, also that same sound playing the entire time the players on a bike would get a little repetitive after a while, is there any way to add some variation by making some of the bmx sounds into a different pitch/tone?

 

Edit: After playing the vid a couple times i noticed that it does change pitch, it was so gradual i didn't notice.

@Solom: He'll get credit for his work. Beta 3 hasn't been released yet so there is no need to credit him just yet.

 

@Frank.S: I agree that it sounded a bit too loud. I've lowered it and also made the loop cleaner. The way IV's engine sounds work is that the game decides the rate (PCM) based on the vehicle speed. To demonstrate:

 

(Spawned a Monster in the end to compare the volumes.)

Is it possible to spot the bmx from having skid noises?

 

Doesn't seem like it. The file it uses is shared by almost all vehicles. (resident.rpf \ WHEEL_LOOPS.ivaud \ SIDE_TARMAC_SKID_A & B.wav + more).

If anyone knows how to disable said files for a single vehicle, please let me know.

Well I can now officaly garantee that the EFLC version will have everything the IV version has. My two port files seem to work on alot of things including the fact I put them in, but didnt copy the Anderius files in, so I accidently ported the original GTA IV to EFLC (TBOGT). lol

They work well enough to run GTA IV on TBOGT, they will be able to give everything out for this too.

Edit: In my last few screens the hud got messed up. IDK why.

How did U make the menu like tbogt please,cuz I'm working on a mod that imports tbogt to IV please tell me!!!plzzzzzzzzz! confused.gif
