The new radio script causes a Visual C runtime error.

Note: Visual C is a huge pain in the ass. I think it got screwed up from when I had to mess with it for Vice City Rage.

But does anyone have a list of replaced cars? I'm going to edit the cargrp.dat so the replaced cars spawn. It will make it feel more original. Kinda like what VCR did. Also I have to find this texture file I had on my computer. It removed the grain on the cars. I KNOW it looks bad on the IV:SA cars because their lower poly. The grain is zoomed in. Have you ever spawned the Banhee? The stripe looks bad. But the no grain mod should fix it.

When exactly ? This happened in development, but has been fixed, the only thing I could think off is that it would crash at loading songs.

The script is coded in C++ by the way, just as any scripthook mod.

I get it when I enter a car. I used the cheat to spawn the FBI Buffalo and it didnt happen because that car doesnt have radio. Ill try to get a shot of it. Its hard because the error is there for a sec and I cant get it to come back after the crash. It only happens when entering a vehicle that has the radio stations. Ill try to get a shot.

But in Beta 3 we should use this mod.

http://www.gtagaming.com/downloads/gta-iv/vehicle-mods/3925

The vehicle grain is zoomed in because of less polys. It makes the grain look bad. Ill show you a pic of what the Banhee looks like, first car color set when you spawn it with the SNT.

That grain is just part of the dirt slot texture (or so i assume)

No its not the dirt. The grain is the texture that forms from the reflection. The VCR cars looked much nicer because I assume they removed the grain. The IV SA cars look better now its gone. But is there a list of replaced cars?

The radio station switch sound is looped way too much. Cut that sh*t, it's annoying to listen to.

Since you are not even close to a paying customer, I am going to ignore your rant. And your clip it bollocks, if you don't like it, delete it.

How comes on double roads you have traffic going both ways on the same road side ?

¡

example in real life and in gta san andreas its ▲▲ ¡ ▼▼ ( the two arrows are the traffic flow , two lanes of traffic on each side )

¡

¡

but you have it in alot of the areas going like this ▲▼ ¡ ▲▼ This is wrong also this is why there are alot of traffic jams at every traffic light set..

@EL

That's some serious lag there. But nice job sounds nice.

Excluding Cities XL 2012 , GTA IV is the heaviest game i have here, i have Battefield 3 , Bad Company 2 and other new games but GTA IV is the one who uses more system resources plus my HD and RAM is crap so i dont have a good FPS Rate but without recording i can play without lag.

some list about things that you need help with?

What I can think of:

- Lettering Traffic Signs (putting the texts on them)

- Mission scripter (recreator)

I think we have things enough to launch a update already, its a update not a Release, so bring the already finished things to the update and finish the other things to the other release.

Sounds are almost done

Interiors are done (Blaster said)

and there are more things i cant remember now but are almost done.

Oh boy, here we go, sit tight:

- Vehicle converters

- Ped converters

- Mission scripter

- Minigames & activities scrptr (either sco or scripthook)

- Path creators (vehicles)

- Recreating of the whole lod system

- Recreating all WTD files with right dxt compression and mip maps

- Creating LODs for PO trees

- 60% Col mataerials left to be done

- Shaders on whole map

- Roadsings

I can do 7 out of 11 things mentioned above, will I? No.

It's simply too much, and i'm further develoiping my skills in EftW,

There's nothing for me to learn anymore,.

I know gta 4\rage modding from the bottom, I need to be a better modeller, which EftW is offering me to, not this project.

Blasty out.

Well that's not the spirit....

- Recreating all WTD files with right dxt compression and mip maps

....I don't blame you, haha. tounge.gif

Going through each damn file and making sure it's got the correct DXT1 or DXT5 AND make sure IF it has Mip Maps, that they are ok to, damn, that's tedious work, I agree with you, you KNOW what to do, it's just repeating the same crap for hours which is never fun.

Imagine searching over 4120 no-description sounds that match a specific one?

For Every action, IV has over 15 sounds (some of them even 30+)

So , for jacking a car ,is over 30 , for talking 'Motherf*cker' there is over 30 ways tounge.gif

and as SA sounds arent caracterized (only as Banks, but still doesnt help that much) i have extracted ALL the SPC_PA, and that is over 400 banks , so i got over 4120 files here for search , good variety , but IV has 5x the variety.

Example: Jacking a female car (examples not the real talked sounds)

IV:Out the Car lady

Sorry lady

i need this car now get off

i need this lady

Sorry lady but i need this vehicle

I dont have time to explain now get off

Lady out

Sorry but get out please

I need this car lady

Get off lady i need this

SA:Get out

Get Out lady

Sorry Lady now get out

something like that =P

Replace the wav files in the radio folder to something you desire. dozingoff.gif

BigSlongsDaddy, were not supid you know, it's because of the converting process and no one spend time to make decent paths.

hey blaster i didnt think any of you are stupid , i just wasn't sure that you was awere of the problem , sorry blush.gif

Well at least thanks to Rockstar the sounds on IV have names on the IVAUD , so is over 9000% easier to find a specific sound/replace it , not same as SA , you have to search every bank finding the right sound and sometimes you replace it and its not even the sound that matches the action.

The only thing i cant convert is car sounds, its a different way from SA (it uses a whatever tecnology that makes it realistic, different from SA) so its only 5% of the car sound converted in a realistic thing one, i need to talk with some car engine modders to find out how it works . then EXPECT SA car sounds in the future.

Oh trust us, we know what you mean, the San Andreas sound system is just one massive mess up, especially down to that GENRL bug where if you replace a file with one that's longer or shorter, and it just messes the whole damn thing up throwing SFX anywhere onto anything, such an unstable audio engine.

Rockstar Games games are more likely to be 'The more you mod , more you have problems' , SA at least is not so problematic as IV, IV crashes more easier then SA if you have the game modded
