When trying to install the Snow Mod on unmodded GTA 4 Sanandreas (1.0.4.0) i'm getting a mscomctl.ocx error (Windows 7 64 bit).

Anyone knows a solution?

are the snowballs able to be picked up from any snow and I'm

assuming you guys used the same scripting that the bricks in IV consist of?

Edit: SOLVED by following this guide.

 

Playing on leafeon.no-ip.org:9998 (US server) with a friend using the snow mod. It's too much f*cking fun spinning around and driving on the ice. biggrin.gif

@random you don't seem to be in a good mood today, I'm not trying to be an ass I just think we should try and

ignore Everlosts trolling; he had a valid point but I do also realize it doesn't matter what size the snowball is as long as

I can hit someone with it on multiplayer!

Downloaded it, Installed it. (Wrong, cause instead of merging the GTA IV: SA folder with the vanilla folder it installed GTA IV: SA in a different directory, so i mixed that part up.) Played it.

 

It's great. Hella buggy but it's a beta. And it's awesome.

 

EDIT: Installed on Vanilla, and it f*cked up EFLC. Uninstalling. Sorry I just love The Lost and Damned waaay too much.

Hey, i've been fixing the collision files for Los Santos.

I've removed %90 of lae2's curbs so it's possible to speed through intersections without crashing into thin air in most of lae2. The fence by the bridge has been fixed so if cj falls into into it he doesn't go mental and melt, also it's climbable liks GTASA now too.

Lae's train track rails have been fixed so all vehicles can drive without wrecking on that section traintracks just like GTASA.

The basket ball court in Los Santos and also the alleyway where you start the game has been fixed. Half of Grove streets pavement has been fixed, now if cj falls over he won't do the melty thing that i said before.

So now, you start the game and can actually get on the bike (without instantly teleporting) then ride out onto the road and get to top speed on the railtracks and do a nice jump using the basketball courts grass hill as a ramp into the working freeway, completly bug-free.

 

So, IVSA players + developers, should i continue fixing them and release them with RMS as an official patch? or should i just stop?

I'm asking because it's a chore to do this fixing, however if there is enough demand then i'll know that the work is even worth it. smile.gif

There are a few places i've fixed that i haven't mentioned but i will if this has a proper release.

(probably only IV:SA developers/modders will notice the difference these two pictures have from the normal IV:SA collissions. they will also notice that there is tonnes of fixing left to do) tounge.gif

i had same problem

 

first download this : http://www.ocxdump.com/download-ocx-files_...2/download.html

 

then just place it to : C:/windows/syswow64

 

then install snow mod and enjoy tounge2.gif

Got some questions of varying topics: Am i the only modder working on the obn's fixing them? Will the currently badly converted cars be re-converted/fixed any time? Would i be joining RMS or only the IV:SA team? Is there a way to automatically select faces/polys that are facing a certain direction in 3dsmax? (that would make the job somewhat easier) Would it be easier to chat over msn or is posting here good enough? Is there any plans for a handling.dat re-vamp? Most of the SA cars drive badly, even copying the handling lines of a similar size+type car from vanilla IV and pasting it over a chosen IVSA car improves a lot of the new cars.

Nope you aren't the only one. Me and Blaster would also work on it.

 

But as you can see the whole point of the recruitments is because there's not many of us actually working on the map, and we need more people(who actualy have experience like you) to join up to ease and speed up the process of the dev.

We'll need to set a simple plan of who fixes what areas of the map, i've made changes to lae_col lae2_col las2_col and lascol so those can be the files that i've got to totally finish before i make any changes to other map collisions.

@RMS: Can you make a to-do list? Maybe there is something us not-so-good-but-dedicated modders can try to help with. I'm eager to get rid of Nikos voice for instance.

 

@Random: Tell Blaster to install Snow Mod and set vehicle density to 100. That's NOT boring imo. biggrin.gif

80% of San Fierro, 100% of LV, 50% of desert doesn't have colission materials.

Oh i see, i haven't played outside LS enough to notice the materials. (i assumed you mean't the collision mesh was missing instead of the correct materials missing because a lot of the signs are non-solid and collision-less like that) Are the collision-less signs going to be converted to dynamic objects?

I'm gonna have a look at the SF, LV + Desert collisions in-game + openiv to see how much work is required to set all the faces to their needed materials. Are one of you guys going to do the material correction while i finish my LS wbns or should i halt fixing LS and start collision material correcting SF, LV + Desert while you two also set the collision materials correct in SF, LV + Desert?

 

I've still not been added to the dropbox, that gonna happen? Tnx.

If someone could create or link to a trainer that would work well with IV:SA modified online, that would be great.

 

specifically something that lets you spawn peds!

I didnt get a trainer when I installed the IV version so I had to copy it from my GTA IV install. However for EFLC I got a trainer for GTA IV, and TBOGT, but not TLAD.
