[WIP] IV:SA³ 'World Enhancement'

So where did you get the player animations and did you get permission to use stuff from VCR?

Then tell me who is the author, don't tell me its Tmaster, as i said i got it from ped anims.

I don't care if they're not the official author, they took the time to convert it to RAGE. So did you get permission or not?

As i said, i don't know and im going to remove the weapons because even if i find the author he won't respond for sure plus this will put me a lot of trouble.

Permission is not needed. RussianCJ and his team left GTA Modding around 2 years and they said anyone can continue development (exactly what Tmaster is doing) The 2 teams (IVSA and VCR) shared files even during 'development', so it's perfectly fine.

Well damn, i've deleted the files... but i might upload it again...

I get this error "Windows is searching for IVSALauncher.exe. To locate the file yourself, click Browse."

Any idea on how to fix/find this?

EDIT: Nvm, I fixed it.

Hey,

I have a problem with my IV:SA. Today I've installed clean game, then installed 1070 patch and IV:SA. Everything was working but suddenly my game freezed (not responding). I closed the game by "task manager" and tried to launch it again.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to start my game from any launcher:

1. IVSALauncher.exe - Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

2. GTAIV.exe - GTA IV FATAL ERROR; DFA did not initialize properly. Please make sure you are using LaunchGTAIV.exe to launch the game.

3. LaunchGTAIV.exe - game is launching and crashing when it's going to show IV:SA intro.

I'm playing on cracked pirated game with 1.0.7.0 patch. I didn't touched anything in game files. My game just freezed and never launched again.

Not starting on my windows 7 system. I reinstalled IV, no savegames, ran installer custom according to popup window shown at start of installer. Renamed paul.dll to paul.old. Launcher works but when i press single player i only see a little black screen telling me to wait a few seconds and after that nothing happens, waiting screen dissapears, lancher stays open but no other process is started. Any way around this? Thx.

beta 4???

Anyone is 'allowed' to take the map, vehicles, pedestrians and weapons from the mod. I'm not gonna stop anyone from taking art assets I, or 'my team', didn't create, they are R*'s, converted or not.

It is however not allowed to use our launcher, setup & hud. Those are all scratch made and you need to ask permission to Flitskikker.

If you wish to actually further develop the mod, with the same name, so practically a beta 4. Then PM me with your plan, your team and your skills. I don't want some random to continue and release something sub par.

I R random who make sub par mods...

nah but seriously, I do want to continue this mod but I have limited experience with IV modding and no team as there are limited IV modders that actually know what they are doing... if anything I would just be the guy who co-ordinates with the other modders and offers my Life Experiences of living in California... aka I would be pretty much useless other than offering suggestions and other crap...

so sadly I dont think I will be able to work on it... unless a team magically appears out of nowhere

So you're gonna make it "The life & times of Jordan within San Andreas' map"?

no. I would be giving people tips on how the culture is in california

and the differences between LA Culture and SF Culture for Blacks/Latinos/Whites/Asians/Europeans

and I would make the radio stations

Im the useless guy

I'm sure he means original radio stations.

With even more stock latin rap?

as I mentioned, I wanted to remake this mod in the same vein that there is a Vice City 2 mod set in modern times... a Late 90s/Early 00s California mod would be nice since that was when gangs were far more active especially in northern california (San Francisco was bad)

Especially when Generations of United Nortenos CD was released (The Only Album to ever be banned in america) would be nice to touch up on it since I grew up in northern california in the late 90s and early 00s..

only latin station I used stock music on was the East Los Remake

the other ones had legitimate rap artists and a few gang freestyles

personally with this mod I wouldnt mind expanding the cities abit... like Blueberry and Angel Pine...

maybe even adding actual gangs in a realistic california style...

I wonder what the gang limit is on GTA IV... if you can add more than 11 or so

So you're using legit music aswell as stock stuff then? That's news to me.

So you're using legit music aswell as stock stuff then? That's news to me.

well like I said, some of the record companies went out of business or were raided and shutdown by police so technically they arent held in copyright for the most part...

This is one of the most controversial albums ever recorded. Not a statement... It's a fact. This was the album that started rising gangster rapper Sir Dyno and imprisoned the majority of the Nuestra Familia gang of Northern California.

This tape titled "G.U.N.: Generations of United Norteños -- XIV Till Eternity", was actually a recruiting tool for the prison gang which spawned a massive five million dollar plus FBI investigation known as Operation Black Widow. In all, 21 people were indicted in the FBI's three-year investigation into Nuestra Familia. When it concluded in April 2001, it was one of the largest take downs on a prison gang in US history.

This recording was released in 1998 which sparked a lot of controversy and rallied many youths to join Norteno gangs. The recruiting tool was executed to perfection. I resided in Salinas at the time and recall everyone listening to or owning this album. It really surprised me how many people took to the lyrics and content of the music. In my opinion this clever idea really did resonate with youngster of the time. The appeal caused many misguided individuals to join the Norteno gang movement which created an environment for heightened gang violence against their enemies. Posted by Ramiro Garcia

Album cover of the currently banned CD. Note that Norteño gang members on the cover photo are wearing T-shirts with their gang color, red.

G.U.N.: Generations of United Norteños – XIV Till Eternity is a West coast gangsta rap CD with Sir Dyno as the lead performer. G.U.N. was intended as a tool for recruiting Norteño prison gangs in California. The album was quickly banned from sale because the FBI had launched a lawsuit (Operation Black Widow) against Sir Dyno and the album's record company, Moonlight Records.

Sir Dyno was a legitimate rapper in the late 80s and early 90s who is now a pastor under the name David Rocha after this happened... he is still respected by alot of Latinos in Nor Cal since he is the one who pretty much broke out with Latino Rap up north...

I have a question:

Originally, with all the files intact, only a handful of cars were spawning. I looked in the cargrp_sa and only a couple of cars were assigned to uptown/midtown groups.

I changed the cargrp_sa with an original IV cargrp, and even now,it's only a group of cars spawning (a bigger group though) everywhere.Funny thing is,I couldn't identify the exact group spawning (i looked with openiv at the imgs, identified them right, there wasn't a group with those cars all together)

Has anyone of you got a normal cargrp?

I also voted for yes! Would be nice if the peds have San Andreas voice too. That would give even more San Andreas feeling.

I actually made some lampposts breakable but there's a placement issue where lampposts are floating in air in some areas and that i can't explain and neither could Chris/Jestic... i'll do some more testing later today, trying to place a normal model at the same position to confirm if it's the breakable causing it.

No texture and vertex color problem're fixed by the way!
