I can't play, I click play and all I get is... well, nothing. The game doesn't even open nor crash.

 

So much problems with this version...

Actually some people (as me) have got the same problem. I'm actually trying to install GTA IV on another PC. I just start to think that the problem is maybe due to the game languages or region.

Mine is a French version.

We still don't know the cause of the problem that Libertyking, Rob85Fr and Performer are having, because we can't reproduce it. It works fine for everyone in the team.

But it's getting late now here, so I'm off in a few and will check it tomorrow.

 

IV:SA supports English only. Other languages have been removed. If you've set your language to something else than English, use stock IV/EFLC to put it on English.

The launcher should detect and change the language, but perhaps it fails at it for you (tested working here, again).

 

In the meantime, open IVSA3_1.gtp with Notepad and change SkipLauncher=1 to SkipLauncher=0. Maybe that'll work.

Hi, I have installed GTA IV : SA with EFLC 1.1.2 and I couldn't start the game (when I clicked on "Play", there was a error message with "EFLC has crash, blablabla" I did it again, same problem.

 

I'm trying to instal it with GTA IV 1.0.7, I hope it will works.

 

I have legal versions and no mod, no trainer, no ENB, nothing sad.gif

Hello, I also had this problem in the past

 

Problem in installation, you probably sent GTAIV install the files in the original folder of GTA,

 

and for this reason this error occurs

 

You cannot replace the original files, you must create a copy

 

To resolve this you will have to download again and install correctly GTA, choosing option to copy folder

When I first copy the ELFC folder manually some files are missing in the patching phase and hence not patched, then the game crashed after the intro logo. I solve this issue by create a copy of the EFLC folder for preparation by the setup itself, everything works fine after that. Since the source copy of EFLC is exactly the same, so maybe I guess the setup removes some files which are required accidentally when I copy the folder manually? My copy of EFLC is retail DVD, updated to v1.1.2.0, legal copy.

You buy GTA by steam right?

On steam have option ' validate file '

Choose this option

and see how many files are missing in your GTA

We've had one person who had missing files for patching, namely the audio\sfx files. However, these are on the copy list so I wouldn't know why the Setup would delete them.

Give us more info. Legal/illegal? IV/EFLC? Patch version? Error? Crash? Nothing?

 

We can't fix problems if we don't know what the problems are.

When you click the Steup

After this appears 2 option

We've had one person who had missing files for patching, namely the audio\sfx files. However, these are on the copy list so I wouldn't know why the Setup would delete them.

I'm not sure, but the files that are missing is exactly located in audio\sfx. I'll try again later using the manual method to see if the problem still occur. I'm so sorry I have to sleep now.

Anyway I've played for about 1/2 hour just now and I love it! biggrin.gif

Hello im getting crashing alot when i play the game it works good then like 15 mins in the game it crashes it wont stop.

 

I have Legal GTA IV 1.0.7.0 i have a trainer and i modded 3 cars. please help

I have tryied it, same problem

Do you start using IVSALauncher.exe or LaunchGTAIV.exe?

 

If LaunchGTAIV.exe: Use the IVSALauncher, otherwise it will crash.

 

If IVSALauncher.exe: I'm out of options for now.

Strangely, for me it doesn't even say it stopped working it just wont open...
