When I first copy the ELFC folder manually some files are missing in the patching phase and hence not patched, then the game crashed after the intro logo. I solve this issue by create a copy of the EFLC folder for preparation by the setup itself, everything works fine after that. Since the source copy of EFLC is exactly the same, so maybe I guess the setup removes some files which are required accidentally when I copy the folder manually? My copy of EFLC is retail DVD, updated to v1.1.2.0, legal copy.

and see how many files are missing in your GTA

Well, the launcher can't get registry access. Are you running it as administrator.

 

We still don't know the cause of the problem that Libertyking, Rob85Fr and Performer are having, because we can't reproduce it. It works fine for everyone in the team.

But it's getting late now here, so I'm off in a few and will check it tomorrow.

 

IV:SA supports English only. Other languages have been removed. If you've set your language to something else than English, use stock IV/EFLC to put it on English.

The launcher should detect and change the language, but perhaps it fails at it for you (tested working here, again).

We've had one person who had missing files for patching, namely the audio\sfx files. However, these are on the copy list so I wouldn't know why the Setup would delete them.

Give us more info. Legal/illegal? IV/EFLC? Patch version? Error? Crash? Nothing?

 

We can't fix problems if we don't know what the problems are.

I'm not sure, but the files that are missing is exactly located in audio\sfx. I'll try again later using the manual method to see if the problem still occur. I'm so sorry I have to sleep now.

Hello im getting crashing alot when i play the game it works good then like 15 mins in the game it crashes it wont stop.

Do you start using IVSALauncher.exe or LaunchGTAIV.exe?

 

If LaunchGTAIV.exe: Use the IVSALauncher, otherwise it will crash.

 

If IVSALauncher.exe: I'm out of options for now.

Strangely, for me it doesn't even say it stopped working it just wont open...

That's something GTARandom should look into. He made the save system / startup script.

 

EDIT: I'm seeing "Load successful" and save games in the list. Make sure you've removed all your savegames.

 

 

@Others: I'm going now. Currently, I'm out of options. Maybe others of the team are able to help, but since we can't reproduce your problems, it's hard for us to check out what's wrong.

EDIT: I'm seeing "Load successful" and save games in the list. Make sure you've removed all your savegames.

 

 

those are made by me with the mod today

i deleted those saves and now when i load the game it immediately goes to the "save game" screen.

Try reinstall IV and upgrade it 1.0.7.0. Then try installing IV:SA again (let Setup make a copy).

i did remove them. still have the same problem.

nope i have never been able to spawn into the game. i click "start" on the main menu and immediately go to the "save" screen. did you watch the video i made?

Okay, so:

 

I just try to install my GTA IV on a totally other PC, using the same 1.0.7.0 patch file and the same IV: SA installer that I got on my computer.

The EXACTLY same problem appear. So the problem doesn't seems to come from my computer.

For explain again the problem that me and some others have:

 

When I launch IV: SA from his launcher, the black "Please Wait" windows appear, and after, nothing happend.

After a little look in the Task Manager (in the Process tab), we can see in first the LaunchGTAIV.exe which is starting (then the CD cursor appear), nothing special here, and secondly the GTAIV.exe which is starting next. Great. But after 5 seconds, this one simply stop.

 

So, here is what I think:

- Error coming from GTA IV installation language or region?

- Or bad download? (I was one of the first to download it, I will retry to DL it tomorrow).
