1. The APC will be used for the Rhino however the tank your talking about shoots water, so it may just be a copy of the fire truck with a different model.

 

Yes, I ment the Rhino. In EFLC, the swat tank shoots bullets but in normal IV its water.

 

 

2. Maybe. Were not sure how it works, however GPS may be removed as cars didn't have GPS like that in 1992. (They might, but I bet it was really crappy.

Btw, after updating Net.Framework + Restarting my Pc all the scripts work now, so thank you a lot!!!

 

I dont know if this is a common bug, bug when standing in front of a car and trying to enter, CJ just runs forwards and backwards in front of the door but is unable to just get in.

 

Also, now that the scripts work (except the flying script) on foot i have 50-60 fps, and in cars like 10. is there any solution for that?

 

Is there a way to get your intro for a fan-made trailer? smile.gif

How do you play it in multiplayer?

Quick tutorial on how to install Multiplayer for IV:SA²

 

- Download IVSA:MP here

- Extract the 'modified-client.rar' on a IV:SA 1070 install (it does not work on any other patch or EFLC!).

- Start samp_r.exe and change your nickname in Settings.

- Click on 'quick connect' and as IP use: 77.221.70.90:9999, no password.

 

Warning: The 'server browser' does not work, use quick connect only!

 

BTW: Does anyone know if downloading a mod with µTorrent is legal? I used torrent a few years ago and got caught, not a good experience. Because i also wanted to try VC Rage confused.gif

Holy crap guys. Why are you all fighting so much on here? At first I was really impressed by the team and the hard work, however, this mod has a long way to go. If you guys can't get along, are we even going to see a Beta 3? If it is released, will we see anything past Beta 3? If you are going to fight with each other, then do it in private where people like me who only come here to check up on the mod won't have to see all your accusatory comments, and derogatory remarks towards one another. That's just my opinion. dontgetit.gif

Cool idea, but an entire MAP would have to be added to the current San Andreas map (which is MASSIVE), nevermind the cars, weapons, AI, or even gameplay/physics changes.

I like that idea. If you put the map up in the sky it would work.

 

The things that would make it easy.

-The cars in GTA 1 look like sh*t anyways. They look identical. I think just a few basic cars should do. Two or three regular cars, police car, ambulance, and fire truck. Or you could just use the SA cars. But maybe even one car will do as there are no paths.

-The map doesn't need to be properly shaded. Its supposed to be a 90's video game in the game so the map doesn't need to look fancy. It would be weird if the mini game looked the same as the rest of the game as it is supposed to be like a video game and A: Games in 1992 didn't look as good as IV SA and B: Games in 1992 didn't look the same as the real world, and the normal games graphics are like the "real world" as far as CJ is concerned.

-If you put it up high it wouldn't need water. You could just make it a transparent object that looks like water and a script kills you if you touch it. (you couldn't swim in GTA1)

-Its a bonus enough so paths are really not needed, and the whole map really isn't needed. If I remember GTA 1 and 2 had LC, VC, and SA (in there eras, so they looked way different). Really only one map would really be needed. IDK if it should be the first map that you encountered in the game, or the San Andreas one because this is IV SA.

-Lods are not needed because you would be looking down at the map.

 

However if you can't do this, I'd recommend just making the mini game there be Qub3d from GTA IV.

Couple of changes which make more sense IMO keep the water, convert Sanadreas (if you can do that as quick as LC (the 3d Vice City alright but even before GTA Vice City came out I did't like the VC in GTA1 realy nothing like Miami) use SA cars, have 3D mode enablable but dont't display as an option in the actual minigame its only a mini game though more focus should be made on actual SA

Also any cahnce of having the 3d VC LC and SA on one map?

The fact that GTA is top-down makes it worse, because if we put the map in the sky the camera view will actaually be above 6000k and weird graphics crap may start happening, there needs to be another way to do it. Under the map maybe a better solution

Yes I was going to say in the "Blue Hell" (underneath the map) but then in 3d mode you would not see sky I am assuming IDK I have modded SA alot but GTA IV havn't modded but would the view distance cause sky to be visible?

Glad it's postponed. We will have more free time to add to the mod over the summer. That way when it's released you guys will get a better release that has more quantity and quality.

I will make a roadmap soon. Mostly because my holidays start somewhere in june. Then I have all the time in the world. If beta3 releases in june, there's nothing for me to do in ivsa in the holidays. I have nothing else planned. dozingoff.gif

 

Same applies for GTARandom and Flitskikker

and frank has more time to make missions.

You say missions Oh my god nice but it will be basic tho.

He means a map with details and a chart what to do and percentages and completed and not completed.

Wow, I thought most University/Colleges are already in the break between Spring and Summer semester. So I thought you were off as well. biggrin.gif

 

At least I finished my last Final Exam of Spring semester already and don't plan on taking summer semester so I am in the break. wink.gif

 

...Also, you are right Blaster, no point in forcing a release. Good work by the way.

Oh, very early in august I can tell you.I hope testing starts mid\end july. (we will make a application form to beta test ivsa3)

Spots are limited, about 10 to 15. I will take multiplayer downlaod offline, it doesn't work well and beta 3 will have GFWL multiplayer.

Ok. When will the application phase start aprox.? smile.gif The full beta will be a nice late birthday present though biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

 

Also, any news on the spawnpossibilities of the peds?

I guess it has been already asked, and I asked it in the Vice City Rage project, but since there's some "empty" lands in SA, is it possible to have better performances with your mod than the original game? The screenshots look sick, I have to try it when you'll release it in August *-* But my poor Core2Duo doesn't handle the game well (I get kicked from MP games for too low performances...) confused.gif
