Because there's a lot of people who don't like futuristic stuff. Especially retarded 13 year old CoD fanboys. And because Black Ops sold a lot of copies. And people will jump at the first chance to get Black Ops 2 without even knowing that it's set in the future. It's Activision's strategy of selling you the same stuff over and over again for as long as they can. I am glad we'll finally see something fresh from this series though. Even if it is just the setting. Black Ops didn't feel like it was set in the past at all. I hope this will feel like it's set in the future. Can't believe I even bought MW3 after the amount I played it (6 hours) but this is looking almost as bad - I was genuinely excited for a return to the 70s, really I thought they're pull off a campaign back then nicely. I don't want to judge too early (couldn't help myself) but those screenshots of Star Wars-esque walkers are just horrific. Better wait for this to drop I suppose. Again, it might just be me, but I wouldn't mind seeing the CoD franchise take on something like World War I, especially since it would be something different (to an extent - I'm not sure how many games have World War I as their primary setting, but I don't doubt there's some that exist). Hell, it doesn't even have to be World War I - it could be another war in history that is known, but hasn't been overdone by the gaming industry. I admit, I only really joined in the CoD series properly with MW1, and MW2 is the only game that I've really played, but I've seen the previous titles and can definitely see how much the series has changed, and can understand why so many people are sick to death of where this series is going. I defended MW3 during the pre-release, even when everyone else was saying how sh*t it was going to be and how they were failing the customers/fans. This time though, after seeing these initial shots of the game, I'm f*cking out, done, finito... The sad thing is, this game will sell millions. The old man's teeth is looking like a paper inside his mouth with some rectangles with shadows. And is it only me or it's looking a bit like Battlefield 3? Specially the HUD in the first gameplay scene. I'm hoping a good campaign and another average multiplayer, just like every CoD is for me now. I even held it in when I saw the ridiculous technology that could not possibly exist by 2025. Then I saw the horses and I just couldn't keep from laughing my ass off. I think there was e-mails on the computers in the Black Ops menu that were from someone named X stating Woods was still alive and was being held in the Hanoi prison.
