Jake Posted January 28, 2013 Share Posted January 28, 2013 I logged the majority of my time on TDM and KC both core and hardcore. But I've also completed the mastery for Domination and Hardpoint. Domination mastery wasn't an easy one since holding those three points for two minutes or whatever it was, was a nice challenge. Definitely enjoy objective based modes as long as my teams realize ttheyre playing objectives and not just out to get kills. I may go for Diamond SMGs next, but I'm not a big fan of them in this game. I got the MP7 golden straight away because it was so good in MW3, and I've almost got the PDW and Skorpion there also. And been working a little on golden pistols and specials. I already got shotguns done and the Ballista sniper is only a few bloodthirsties away. I may end up conquering all of em but who knows. You have to get gold in all weapons in a class, so gold in all assault rifles, or all smg's etc.. Jake Posted January 30, 2013 Share Posted January 30, 2013 I've enjoyed BOII. The maps are a little small though. I was hoping for some bigger maps in the DLC but the new ones are still good fun. New gun isn't that big of a deal, just a new gun. I've gotten about 40+ headshots with it already in a few hours. Interestingly, the biggest complaint from Black Ops 1 was that the map sizes were too big. Seriously, Array, Grid, Villa, and Crisis were much bigger than they really needed to be. Often it would take at least 30 seconds to get back where the action was! CoD thrives off twitch gameplay and has shifted towards medium sized maps for faster paced gameplay. I'm not sure why change is necessarily bad in this situation, but if you prefer the giant maps for some reason I guess it'd be frustrating. I'm pretty happy with the size of the maps. I'd love the maps to be more like Standoff and Slums, where there's a flow of 3 main routes. Turbine is easily the worst map (in my opinion!) and that's the biggest map... I like these bigger maps as it actually took more skill when firing assault rifles and LMGs, but it does become a snipe fest though. It's always goes bad one way or the other: you kill couple sh*tty snipers but eventually they'll get their shot in and ruin their streak or there's actually a good sniper dominating everyone but can't get to him prone in the corner since you're focused on other snipers or the objective. I like maps like Launch, probably my favourite - 3 main traffic routes and a good large size. This is why I also love Meltdown and Drone as they're simular size. I didn't want it either. I gave it a shot. Went home and did my homework like I do everyday. I pop the game in. First 20 games = low life prestige masters. Not hackers, they were legit. To me, this is pretty sad. These kids are like 15-20, and they have nothing better to do than just play the game even though they aren't ranking up. I'm sorry, where the f*ck are the parents? Do they know their kids are turning into low lives? It's only been 92 DAYS since launch, 13 weekends included, and also 65 days of school. What the f*ck?!? Are people seriously spending their life on a video game 24/7? I can't f*cking believe this. What a waste of my time. I don't mind people playing the game and all, but when you tryhard and go 68-2 you don't have anything to do outside of this game. To even get that much skill is incredible. Waste of XP if you ask me, and it's also retarded that they are still playing. I'm probably never going to touch any new call of duty ever again. Serious. I won't be buying future COD's, not another few years at least, Black Ops 1 was the first I bought for my own (I borrowed MW2 and WAW from my cousin), I skipped MW3 completely after trying it for a few days and I only bought Black Ops 2 on the premise that it was like Black Ops 1. Wrong I was, so very wrong, I am still only level 23, haven't prestiged, haven't played the game in over 2 months. I most definitely won't buy the next COD. I wouldn't classify any of us low-lives either. Not that I need to justify myself (or my mates) to you, but most of us have girlfriends, we're all studying at university and all have part-time jobs. I'm 23, have a full time job and a healthy relationship with my fiancee and a couple buddies. I do well, and I play for fun. There was a time I played just as much back when ranking wasn't even around. I haven't been playing much lately due to other games taking my interest, but still kick ass when I go back and play. And the only advantage we get as masters is having everything unlocked. And maybe a bit more map experience. But I used a lot of similar classes throughout my prestiges and kicked ass the entire way. So it really has nothing more than some sort of epeen bragging right behind it which I don't care about much anyway. It's all about kicking ass and winning. Same as when people have called others campers when they simply move around the map and stop for a second to view the area. And then if you lose people call you garbage etc etc. I ignore these terms if they're used against me, because they are just lame. The whole point of the game is to try hard to kick ass and win and have fun while doing so. Even if your team is losing, it's good to fight the good fight to the bitter end. Honestly, what are people supposed to play like? Let the enemy kill them? That would be fruitless. I won't be playing this game much anymore anyway. Getting quite bored of the maps. The new maps didn't pique my interest well enough. Too small. But I'm also enjoying many other games right now. Only play when buddies put a party together. Finn 7 five 11 Posted February 18, 2013 Share Posted February 18, 2013 Alright So I finally played again, Hardcore kill confirmed is awesome, the weapons feel less noob-friendly, as in even if there is very little recoil it makes no difference since it only takes a couple shots to kill, I actually got a lodestar on my second game and I was only level 23 first prestige! that was fun, I got 1-4 k/d for the rest of my games which was cool. BUT! One thing pissed me off so f*cking bad, like ridiculously bad. I tried to make my Clan Tag NWAG (Norwegian Women's Association Group) It's a joke name some of my COD friends made up a long time ago, I realize that an association and a group are the same thing before you - just like every other dumbass online - tell me that. Anyway! It was blocked for prohibited text. So is "Noob" so is "GOAT" so is "ACMR" so is "HAMR" but I could change my clan tag to "KKK" and "PEDO". Furthermore I couldn't change my class name to "SWAT" (Banned again) because it's my rushing class and SWAT teams rush people, THAT MAKES NO SENSE! THERE IS A GUN IN THE GAME CALLED "SWAT"!!!!!!!!!!! They always say there's a strong team working on the campaign and that the new one is going to be much better than the last one, that they will increase multiple ends to the story and all that stuff, but they always end up being annoying and not attractive as the multiplayer is. At least they are also good at making the zombies a great addition - much better than the Survival Mode from MW3. But in fact I'm not playing the multiplayer anymore. Call of Duty has lost its touch since Modern Warfare 3. Black Ops 2 was enjoyable until February, and not even the DLCs or these stupid micro-transactions are making me wanna play the game again. In my opinion, the game is still "alive" because of the community outside the game itself - mainly because of YT channels that keep incessantly posting videos about the same thing every single day. "The next round of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 DLC will hit Xbox 360 on April 16, supposed promotional material for the game indicates. A photo of the promotional material sent to MadAssGamers suggests the DLC will be called Uprising, and feature four new multiplayer maps (Vertigo, Magma, Encore and Studio) alongside a fresh Zombies mode called Mob of the Dead. The first of the game's four confirmed DLC packs, Revolution, launched in January" Today's rumours back up previous reports claiming that coding found in the official Black Ops 2 website revealed the game's next DLC pack will be titled Uprising.
