Everything seems much better than Infinity ward's job on Call of Duty: MW3. That game wasn't really right at all and it's very much the same as Call of Duty: Modern warfare 2 obviously. Treyarch is taking it pretty seriously in my opinion. Oh and my ranks on Black ops II? I'm like level 23 (I haven't played that much since I was too focus on the campagin) ... And to be honest. Benjimino234 Posted December 20, 2012 Share Posted December 20, 2012 After a 5 hour session of gaming I've come to realize I only like CoD is short bursts granted that was a long continuous session but I can't play this everyday like some people. I'm still hovering around 1.18 to 1.22 K/D and trying really hard to win matches but there's only one person can do you know? But compared to everyone else I meet with prestige 2 and up, I fair actually okay with the 'stats', just makes me wonder what type of people are playing that are extreme addicts but just terrible at the game. I've had my CoD urge for the time being, gonna put it down for now - too stressful/annoying. I'll pop it in for Christmas and hopefully get some good matches against Christmas newbies. John The Grudge Posted December 31, 2012 Share Posted December 31, 2012 I got Black Ops 2 as a Christmas gift and I've played a fair bit of it over the past week. I thought I'd give my thoughts on it, even though nobody cares what I think. I haven't yet completed the single player but I am unsurprised that it has the same issues that all previous entries in the series had. That's infinitely respawning enemies until you figure out what you need to do to progress to the next part of the mission. From a gameplay perspective it's just dreadful. This game's campaign is filled with all sorts of new annoyances to add to the old ones. Like the gadgets you get at various points during missions. Their purpose is obscure and you're never told what to do with them. One such gadget is an optical camo suit. It's apparent purpose is to render you invisible, enabling you to reach your goal without much hassle. It doesn't seem to have any effect at all. The enemies all, like the mindless and predictable automatons they are, home in on you like you're wearing a bright suit with targets on it. Did Treyarch forget the invisible part? As for the strike force missions, the less said about them the better. As bad as Treyarch are when it comes to the single player gameplay, they always deliver a good plot. I will say though that I hate their half-assed attempt at giving the player choices regarding the story. The multiplayer is brilliant. Spawning in the smaller maps is too predictable though. That's really an issue on Hijacked (the boat). The game feels more balanced than any COD before. Loadouts are much more customisable and you have a fair shot regardless of what weapon you choose. The weapons feel good, with an appropriate amount of recoil. The maps are growing on me, though it could do with a few more. The party games are great fun. Being a Treyarch game there's none of the boosting going on that Infinity Ward put in. Overall a brilliant multiplayer game. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Original Light Posted December 31, 2012 Share Posted December 31, 2012 (edited) Some good guns to try out: M27 - Fore Grip, Extended Mag, Red Dot Sight MSMC - Fore Grip, Silencer, Fast Mag PDW-57 - Fore Grip, Silencer, Fast Mag M8A1 - Fore Grip, Select Fire (Use Full-Auto for close range, Semi-Auto for long range), and Extended Mag Use the 'Primary Gunfighter' Wildcard so you can have 3 attachments on your primary. I'm not saying these are the best guns, but these guns are what I find to work best for me. The AN-94 is also a very good gun, but since it's unlocked so late, I'd unlock it with a prestige token so you can carry it with you through earlier ranks. I could be wrong, but it would be pretty awesome. Especially since I've been playing a bit of WaW lately. Also the inclusion of a new gun for DLC buyers definitely gives people a little more incentive to buy it. I doubt that SMG will be over powered, so it shouldn't be game breaking either way. In this game I've been addicted to Custom Games cause I like creating my own scenarios with Bots. I haven't done many Public Matches, I guess I should start, huh? I found only on the SCAR-H it's definitely more noticeably helpful with center speed i.e., time between shots to return to normal, less recoil. I still wish they'd bring back an original map every pack on top of the four new ones. Kowloon ftw. Few more bloodthirsties and I have platinum shotties. Got the B23R pistol golden. Fun stuff. I'm gonna be prestige master perty soon. I'm guessing they'll be adding prestiges per DLC to a max of 15, but could be wrong. Just guessing because of the prestige 12 glitch, plus Black Ops had 15 prestiges. Anyway, game rocks, don't care about haters...it's fun. Hardcore is the best. I'll only ever play core for double xp Nuketown weekends anymore probably. Unless I want to play some different objective modes, considering HC doesn't have much variety. Finn 7 five 11 Posted January 15, 2013 Share Posted January 15, 2013 Everytime I play this game (Friends invite me) I get spawn killed at least once during play on games like Team Deathmatch which is BS. I will spawn and die 1 second later as someone walks right into my spawn. Okay fair enough it happens sometimes when spawns are filled with people, but this happens once every few game at least.
