kj2022
does anybody else in the UK think it's a bit ridiculous that some stores are selling this for £45 pre owned when Asda has it selling at £39 brand new? they sell it for 55 dollars here, which is probably equivalent to that. true, I just thought it was a bit absurd that the preowned copy costs more than the new copy. yea, i agree too. i mean, the game is sh*t lol. why sell it for more than 60? I have no idea, I've not played it yet, but a lot of my friends are bugging me to play online, so I'm thinking about getting it.

Remix
All SMG's nerfed in the newest patch, among other things. And Search and Destroy XP has been boosted - which is great news for me! Edited December 7, 2012 by Remix
Benjimino234
Was expecting a patch mainly with the weapons indeed. SMG's are pretty beast as well as all the other weapons to get nerfed. The Remington, both pistols (non-semi's), PDW, MSMC. The UAV point increase seems to be pretty big too, that'll be interesting.
XxcamptechxX
I've never played any call of duty before. While waiting for GTAV I bought this game and I'm not too familiar with it at all. I'm playing Multiplayer Core Free For All and I've only seen 6 maps total but when you look online there shows to be more. How come I never get to play some other maps its always the same 6 over and over. Do I have to get better or something then they unlock. Or are some specifically team maps or whats the deal. Anyone with an answer would help! Thanks all!!! I guess Ill put it here sense it makes total sense too. In BO the maps were pretty open and bland compared to MW2's tight alleyways and built up areas. Nothing beats Favela. I keep changing my mind on this, at the moment I don't want it. I'd only want it for zombies really becuase there is nothing else new been brought to the table. I've just had a miserably dull time going through MW3's campaign. Benjimino234
Haha so no one here likes this game? I think I have to go to some CoD forum to get some objective monsters/try hards to play with. The game is quite fun if you're winning that is. I always feel bad when dominating a team however, solo or team otherwise cause it's not fun being on the other side. I like close 'even' matches but they are rare to come by.

Actually the question made perfect sense but I found my answer it has nothing to do with a bad lobby... Free for All maps are smaller the other Multiplayer maps such as Aftermath are large. Therefore you only play those during team games or whatever.

Jake
Prestige 3, level 20. Golden MP7, Golden KSG, near golden M27, and near golden AN-94. All double prestiged I believe. Let it roll. I love the KSG. It has absolutely no spray, but that deadly slug round is a beast when it hits. And you put some range on top of the range it already has, it's a wicked piece of weaponry. My prestige unlocks so far are Ghost, AN-94, and KSG. I had a round of 33 kills, 2 deaths on TDM yesterday for one of my real good games. Was using the KSG. No attachments, no perks. Figured I may get enough kills to finish off the camo's for it. Ended up getting over 20 kills in one life. Another good round yesterday I went 15-0 on TDM with the AN-94 before I got taken out. Gotta love it. Had another epic game with 34 and 12 with the KSG after that 33 and 2 match. The score was 74 for the enemy, 73 for us. I saw two dudes shooting at me. Sprint dived to prone and got a headshot on both of them for the victory killcam. It's moments like that, that always makes me come back for more. I don't camp either. I'm always moving. I'll stop for a couple seconds at most before I pick up the pace again and that's usually to scan for movement. I always try to flank the battle field rather than run into the bullets and explosions like a lot of people seem to do on choke points. I love sneaking up on those pesky snipers and/or campers. And if they happen to be in a spot locked down that I can't get to from behind, I go throwing stickies. This happened yesterday on Aftermath. Threw a grenade at least over a hundred feet and got the bastard after I popped out around a corner quick enough for him to not shoot me. Epic. I've had a lot of crazy sticks that I actually meant to throw. Some crazy sticks that I didn't intend also. I usually do really well in every match though. Most of the time I'm number one and if not I'm usually always in the top three. I'm almost two full prestiges higher than two of my buddies who have about the same amount of played time that I do. I'm only a few hours more on played time. Overall, even with these God awful connectivity issues, it's still a good game. If there were no connection problems I'd be a lot happier with it. Bullet detection is still a bit off. Say what you will, MW1 and WaW had great bullet detection, but so did MW2. The lag compensation needs to be sorted out. I do well, but I still get screwed over at times too. And good God am I tired of host migrations and aborted lobbies and party connection issues. Even that is only a temporary hickup though, and back to the action I go. The maps are okay. I don't like some of them much, but that happens every CoD. Some maps I didn't like at first have gotten better now that I've played them more and am learning the routes and hiding spots. Plaza is a terrible map though. I can't find any decent flow in that map. I do enjoy bigger maps, but this one just doesn't pull it off. It's like Hotel gone wrong. It's not going to be great for everybody of course. Not everyone enjoys the same maps. I'm hoping the DLC is really good, because I was pretty disappointed in the MW3 DLC except for a couple maps. The rest were garbage. I found myself turning them off more often than not because the original MW3 maps were way better. Of course this is Treyarch. And considering that, I was happy with the DLC maps for Black Ops, so we'll see. I think they also need to bring back Kowloon as a free DLC. That map was pure awesome. I haven't played Blops2 recently but whenever I try to join my American friends I'm always 1 or 2 baring, but I'll hop back on soon and hopefully with their recent patch the netcode is improved. The game is quite fun if you're winning that is. I always feel bad when dominating a team however, solo or team otherwise cause it's not fun being on the other side. I like close 'even' matches but they are rare to come by. I've enjoyed BOII. The MP is fun as always. Sometimes you get in a lobby where you just dominate all the kiddies (I've had a couple games where I got something like a 7.7 KD ratio and I scratched my head thinking, I don't remember being this good at CoD ). But, then every now and then I get in a lobby with some diehards and it can be a humbling experience. Overall, my KD ratio has fluctuated between 1.2-1.7 which is typical for me. Take from that what you will as far as evenness is concerned. Also, the MP system is better than past CoDs. I like having the option to trade off extra equipment for extra weapon attachments and perks. It just makes class creation more dynamic. Also, some of the near future equipment is pretty cool. I'm a big fan of the target finder scope. Also, if you like Zombies, the Tranzit mode/map is fun as f*ck. Lots of easter eggs, new tools, strategies, etc. Up there with Moon and Der Riese for me. Jake
My K/D has been rising lately, but I think I'm at 1.2 or some sh*t. I've been messing around with weapons so much that I die as much as I kill in over half of my matches. I've been doing a lot of experimentation to nail down classes that I enjoy. I could just run with an MP7 all day every day and watch my K/D rise and rise because I'm always extremely positive with that. But I enjoy using every gun and attachment to see the ups and downs sometimes. Or use a shotgun on a map like Carrier to see what I can do. The Knife class I've used on that map too and I ended up with over 20 kills and less than 10 deaths for the top of my team in a random TDM. I don't see a whole lot of folks run the KSG either. It's usually that R870. I experimented with the HAMR the other day. I never use light machine guns unless it's a gun game type situation where I have no choice. But I did find it pretty awesome unloading so many bullets without worrying about reload and that gun is pretty accurate. I can mow down a guy or two and while the enemy behind them thinks I'm reloading, they pop out to kill me only to get HAMR'd down. Pun intended. Hardpoint is a great new addition to the multiplayer in my opinion. It's a fast paced objective game to keep the ball rolling. And of course me and my buddies can make jokes like calling it a hard on. Y'know, stupid sh*t. And throw in saying it in a nerdy ass voice. I probably shouldn't have started that one on my buddies though, because now we can't play Hardpoint without wanting to crack a stupid joke. It seems most of the time in objective based games I have the most caps, defends, etc for my team which is a really cool feeling. I can't stand playing Mosh Pit with objective based games if Nuketown pops up because no one ever plays the objective. Just because it's Nuketown they don't really care much. I still try my best to help lead my team to victory. But this is CoD, I don't expect the Mosh Pit to have strategical thinkers/players in it. Which is obviously why the lobbies for objective games are always so low. TDM and KC are the main focus, which is fine. Gives me more people to kill and be killed by to up my game. Recently re-bought MW1 and WaW for some mixing up. And been popping in MW2 at times. MW3 a time or two since BOII came out. I still enjoy going back and playing the older games. MW2 looks so smooth in comparison to BOII it's a little silly. I know the knifing lunge being reduced and the chance of it activating nearly impossible is supposed to make it more fair. Buuuut, let's face it, you feel like a badass when you lunge knife someone trying to rush you. They need to at least up the lunge chance a little bit. It gets kind of lame when you knife someone about a foot or less in front of you and the knife completely misses, even though you just watched it swing right in front of their throat. Not balanced right. At least I still get some knife kills, but, really...it's got issues still. A lot of complainers about CoD sucking. That's cool. I don't mind haters. You can enjoy your BF3 or whatever you enjoy while we enjoy our CoD. I've said many times I've played these since way back in the CoD2 days. I'm not sure why IW and now Treyarch recently with BO went with the no vehicle route. Back in CoD2 and 3, the maps had vehicles. Jeeps, tanks, bikes, fun sh*t. But ever since MW, no vehicles, small maps, minus the exception that they had tanks in WaW. Treyarch trying to hold onto that WWII feel. Some maps were a bit bigger back then too. Even in WaW there were a few. You had to travel, man. I've adjusted, and if I did ever want that big map MP experience I'd just load up my BF3 disc. I guess CoD is doing better than ever without those vehicles though, so it serves them well. More arcade quick paced game play that way, I s'pose. Oh yeah, don't forget guys. Jake
I see this topic is awfully dead lately. I'm a couple levels from prestige 5. See some "Prestige Masters" around already. To be expected, but still a little sad. I got about 60 or so levels over the double XP weekend. Only played one day, but I played all day on mostly Nuketown. I was getting up to 70+k XP per round for objective based games. Was a level every game, sometimes multiples. Leveling feels super slow now compared to that. It still feels quicker than previous CoD games though.
