Icarus Posted November 20, 2012 Share Posted November 20, 2012 Still doesn't help them with the fact that the Nuketown 2025 lobby stated "All Nuketown 2025, all the time. 24 hours a day. 7 days a week. We never close." That was the part that bugged me the most; hell, it almost seems like a case of false advertisement. I know they didn't explicitly say Nuketown 2025 would be permanent, but they sure as sh*t didn't say it was only going to be on a limited time basis. It doesn't even mention that in the FAQ about Nuketown 2025. A few people I know who have been playing this religiously feel cheated, because they felt the marketing campaign was heavily focused on Nuketown, and now they're getting the shaft. I loved the Nuketown lobby for something else to do. I mean, for me being a below average shooting with a K/D around 0.7, Nuketown made it worse, but there was just something about that map that made everything way more fun. Maybe it was just the constant spamming of grenades and flashbangs or maybe it was the nostalgia of playings TDM on Nuketown in the first Blacks Ops. Hard to say. Played some zambies and local MP with my brother and nephews. Was a good time. I like the low recoil, frankly. The zombies stuff needs to be fleshed out a bit. Where's the campaign I was promised? Also, I demand some way to get all the previous maps on this one (free of charge, since I've already paid for all of them). Maybe...I guess I don't know what sort of vision they have in mind for it. As for the prior discussion, to call this series 'innovative' in any way is laughable. Easy dumb fun is the name of the game, and don't pretend CoD is anything but that. As long as you hold it to that standard, and don't feel compelled to buy every entry in the series, it's all good. What are the zombies like this time, much difference from Black Ops I? Actually, they alternate between Infinity Ward and Treyarch every year. Activision is the publisher. The zombies are very fun. They added a new mode called Tranzit, where you play in an open map with four or five main towns and you have a lot of things to discover. You can find parts of objects on the ground and use all of them to create new weapons and other useful things. There's also a 4v4 (called 4z4), where there are 4 survivors fighting against 4 zombies, but I don't how it really works. The survival mode is the same from Black Ops, though I didn't found the maps very nice as they were in the previous game. I've been playing the game for almost one week now and I'm really liking it. I know that the worse is to come - everyone will have Ghost unlocked permanently very soon -, but we'll have to deal with that. But anyways, Treyarch did a good job with the new Create a Class system and with the Scorestreaks. The maps are small and fast-paced, except for some like Standoff and and maybe another one that I can't remember now, but most of them are great for me - specially Hijacked. Some SMGs need to be nerfed. I'm not saying this because I'm mainly an assault rifle player and I lose almost every face-to-face combat against SMGers, but because some times a PDW has a longer range than a Type - I've experienced that several times-, and that doesn't make any sense. Oh and btw, the connection is really f*cked up. It's like a rule: "shoot first, die first". I don't know who stated this, but it's completely true. The end is near. Either they'll just milk it for all it's worth (Most likely) and have battlefield take over. Or They might actually make a game with decent improvements...I think that Black Ops 1 was by far the best Call Of Duty yet, they stuffed up hitmarkers a bit on sniper rifles, and ghost was a little bit OP, but otherwise the game was brilliant, weapons had recoil, and better players really stood out from the pack and could consistently play well, it also had a harder learning curve than other Call Of duty games...I have spent 1 month of my life online on that game. Still not enjoying Black Ops 2, since an update I got yesterday it freezes mid-game all the time, I see it happening to other players as well. Benjimino234 Posted November 25, 2012 Share Posted November 25, 2012 I watched Tmart's video on Prestiging and I'm really excited about it, I've played some hours in CoD but never really felt any reward or urge to prestige as I felt you lost more than you gained. I like how you basically lose nothing and get to keep your attachments/levels for gun and challenges and you get a lot of rewards such as the perm unlock tokens. So how far has everyone been to? I'm first prestige, level 50. Should be way higher but missed out on the double XP weekend! I unlocked Ghost straight away. It's basically a necessity in Search and Destroy (at least, for me it is anyway). Loving the fact that I can use Flak Jacket and Ghost at the same time. It's interesting for the most part as I skipped on MW3 so I don't exactly know what perks got split like Blind Eye and Cold Blooded was once one perk (assassin?) but anyway I like it. Got into some annoying games with bad connections and good teams but that happens, currently in the teen levels somewhere. My first game in Combat Training Bootcamp was pretty good with a 2 kd even with a 2 bar and against mostly bad players as opposed to bots. I had to switch to 'Best' connection though as even a 3 bar can really hurt your performance. Please hit me up with a FR on the 360 to Vitrolic Edge, it's hard/boring playing solo. You know, I always complained about Ghost and the campers using it to avoid being detected by the UAV. But now that everyone has unlocked as the first thing, I'm going to do the same when I hit the third prestige. It has been happening in every CoD: if something is annoying me, I start to use it. In MW2, I got my first Nuke using a class with Grenade Launcher, One Man Army and Danger Close, which was something that annoyed me a lot. But anyway, I thought that I should unlock Flak Jacket permanently, but I can get it on level 33, I think, so it's not too hard. For the first prestige I unlocked the M8A1 and for the second, the Primary Gunfighter wildcard, which allowed me to complete the challenge faster. I scrutinize heavily on products that I would purchase to get the most value and entertainment got it for $80 instead of $110 at the game retailer. I don't find myself wanting to come back to play it as much as other purchases, such as Borderlands 2, KoFXIII, SSX and SFxT. BL with its story and randomization, SSX because I'm nostalgic and high score fever and learning new combos from guides .etc for the fighting games. I feel like I have to play it to get my money's worth and to try reach my benchmarks from the previous CoD's. I'm still kinda crap at it, but infrequently have a good match that keeps me going, "Hey, maybe you aren't that bad." type of attitude. It's still in MP though, but probably not as strong compared to previous COD's. It's a good thing in my opinion, but they should've kept it in the campaign.
