Hodgey.
So what's next? Modern Warfare 4, Black Ops 3... ? Same sh*t, different year If you dont like COD they why are you posing sh*t in this topic you dumb son of a c*nt. OT i actually stuck BO in before to play some multiplayer to see what it was like as i aint been on it since before MW3 was released at the MP does feel a hell of alot slower than it does in MW3 so im just curious as if this is how its going to play in BO2 cos im not sure which MP i liked most as they have good and bad points in themselves. vertical limit
The campaign is always a sub par cinematic experience. It's all about the multiplayer. I played all of the campaigns, but they are just not very gripping or anything else besides decent fun. They only include campaign story so people don't feel so ripped off. It will always be about multiplayer. End of story. That is what drives sales for these games. Not what some f*cker named Mason or whatever the hell goes through. But the Campaign is pretty good, you gotta give them that.
Carbine23
I was impressed with the graphics but not the gameplay. I think Medal of Honor Warfighter looks 100x better
Finn 7 five 11
IGN's Black Ops demo video. The gun used mainly looks like mW3, sh*tty iron sights and very low recoil, hopefully that is just a campaign thing...that already looks like an overpowered gun looking at how low the recoil is. Apparently, according to those rumours posted a month ago which seem to be quite accurate (so far) the Heat sensing scope is a kill-streak. Jake
Wasn't impressed with the "demo" footage. Once again I'll say that they should have avoided the campaign all together and showed us multiplayer footage. Apparently they are waiting until Gamescom. Usually I don't care for the footage. I'm only a little curious because of the futuristic approach and wondering how it will affect the guns and whatnot.
IceWolf729
Hmm, that sniper shooting through walls reminds me of the Rail Driver from Red Faction I and II... Perhaps it's meant to be some railgun of sorts ...

But the Campaign is pretty good, you gotta give them that. the COD campaign's are horrible! I say this as a casual gamer when it comes to COD; it isnt a story-driven game. the moment they discovered how to code an expansive MP system was when the storyline nose-dived into second place. only speaking on recent COD titles: COD 4: best of of the MW series, not the nostalgia of it but the fact is maintained the run and gun gameplay but was driven but a decent story. WAW: historically accurate at least, it may stumbled to pick up the ball in parts but overall the slightly more personal side of the story, being based around the player's team mates made it worthwhile. MW2: where it all started to go downhill, IW forgot about COD 4's coherent and humble story and gave Michael Bay's special effects team the design studio for a week. the Ranger missions were fun admittedly, but they went a bit OTT with TF141. Black Ops: Goooooooooooooood morning Vietnam! with Famas rifles from the 2000's used during the Cold War and some f*cking Russian's being made out to be the big bad, but America saves the day as per usual! save the anachronisms for MP, Black Ops would have been a lot better if they had created an honest Vietnam-Cold War game, not laden with historical innacuracies. MW3: Where to begin?! Michael Bay's special effects team pretty much built this game from the ground up then Uwe Boll wrote the story in an afternoon in an Amsterdam coffee shop. yeah the campaigns are "fun", but it is just run and gun, throw grenades and pick up the deliberatley placed RPG-7 to destroy the evil enemy Hind...for the sixth time. by all means enjoy the Call of Duty series, but dont try and make it out to be something it isnt. Good eye. Also note the lack of pea soup spewing out at everybody, which only strengthens the notion he merely swiveled his body. Anyway, I'm not sure how I feel about this game as of yet. I wasn't really impressed with their reveal at E3, so I doubt I'll be willing to pay full price for this one. With that being said, I did have fun playing through MW2's campaign, but that's as far as my experience with COD goes. So I'll at least be keeping an eye on this one. Claude4Catalina
I always thought the campaigns were really good. to reiterate, the COD campaigns are generic action move storylines...not saying its an entirely bad thing, I actually enjoy getting home from work, jumping on multiplayer and getting my arse kicked by ten year olds. I just dont expect much from COD campaigns anymore. one thing I will give BOII its stripes for, is still keeping current weapons in the game. at least it is staying grounded in that sense, running around with a team all using lazer rifles and such...that'd truly kill the COD series. cas-97
Call of Duty - Campaign was good and a good way to introduce CoD. Call of Duty 2 - Campaign was okay but not as good as others. Call of Duty 3 - Campaign? What Campaign it was a load of sh*t. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - Amazing best Campaign yet! World At War - I liked the new Pacific setting but at least it was better than CoD 3. Modern Warfare 2 - Great Campaign even better than CoD 4. Black Ops - I liked the setting but come on only 5 missions in Vietnam wtf. MW3 - SH*T!!!
cas-97
I think Black Ops II will be good plus i'm used to the future stuff and Strategy mode cause i'm a fan of Halo. But well in Black Ops correct me if i'm wrong but in Vietnam did they really have Reflex Sight and Thermal Scope? And why is it when ever you play as a character in Campaign he never has a head? If they never make or show a Third-Person Model thats understandable but i mean characters such as Soap, Mason, Captain Price all of them? friendly luggage
it's nothing like Modern Warfare 3 Setting and plot maybe but it will use the same engine, textures, models and sound effects. They don't give a f*ck about their reputation for releasing cruddy un-improved games yearly, they sell 20 million of them and make a f*ckload of profit. I like Call Of Duty, but i can see myself and many others getting eventually fed up and moving on.
