pyramid head
Bully 2 Could Be Rockstar's Next Project After Max Payne 3 A sequel to 2006's PlayStation 2 classic Bully could be in the offing once Rockstar has finished with Max Payne 3, according to Rockstar Games VP Dan Houser. In a recent interview with Gamasutra, Houser explained that the company favours the method of leaving a gap between games, rather than rushing into a sequel. Rockstar Vancouver developed the original Bully, but the dev is currently polishing up and finishing work on Max Payne 3, which means the next project in its sights could be Bully 2. "Contrary to a lot of people, we like to take a little bit of time at the end of a game before starting a sequel, so we can wait for the excitement or disappointment and everything else of the experience to shake down and really see what we should do in the next game," Houser explained. "So we knew that we didn't want to start doing the Bully sequel instantly at that second with those guys - even though it is a property that, like Max, we adore and might come back to in the future. There was just no impetus to do that then." "So we said, 'You can do Max, and then we will see what we can do with Bully'," Houser added. "So it was really waiting for the slot to open up and the group to open up to at least start work on it." With Max Payne 3 due for release in March 2012, it's entirely possible that Rockstar Vancouver might start up development on Bully 2, not forgetting that Rockstar also has a little game called Grand Theft Auto V on its radar too. A sequel to Bully would be hugely welcome though, and this is the second hint that it could be on the cards, with composer Shawn Lee mentioning that he'd be working on the soundtrack back in 2009. http://www.ps3trophies.org/news/news-5209-...ax-Payne-3.html
Triple Penetration
When game isn't even in work or planning stage, there shouldn't be a topic yet. Mayve make one AFTER Max Payne 3 comes out?
Whiskey
I god damn well hope so! I love Bully and I do hope there's a sequel. I can only imagine what it would look like on RAGE or a new engine. <
A J
Well I don't think Pyramid Head is making an "official topic" for a game just yet, he's simply informing us all of a little article he read about Bully 2... Personally I'd rather Rockstar focused on this "Agent" game which seems to have gone all quiet...
Rucke
Not Rockstar's next project. Maybe Rockstar Vancouver's next project. I'm sure other R* studios are already in full development of games that has not yet been announced. They haven't even started on Bully 2 yet. Forty
Agreed that if the game isn't in planning stages we shouldn't get excited about it. It's all hypothesis at this point. I had a lot of fun playing Bully, but I believe they missed the mark on it. It was wayyy too easy, and once you got the go-kart the rest of the game went incredibly fast. R* spent a lot of time putting 1000 different clothing items into the game but not really putting any more effort into making the game longer or creating replay value. Get the go-kart, get the black ninja costume, and the game is pretty much over. It could have been so much more epic.
Sunrise Driver
You can't be sure the game isn't started yet. Maybe they're working on it already? Vancouver aren't the only studio wich makes MP3 so smaller team could be working on Bully 2 with help from other studios.

Don Garcia
I was thinking about this game the other day. How was this game not attacked, or was it?, for featuring kid-on-kid fights?

However, I was a bit upset when I finished it, because it took me such little time. Don't get me wrong though, most missions were very fun to play. I got it in 2007, one year after the release after constantly nagging my mom, both my brother and I, for her to get it for us. She finally agreed and gave it to us on Christmas, and I do not regret it one single bit. God, I had so much fun. If there is something that'll get me hyped up, it's a sequel to Bully. It's been a couple of years, probably one or two since Shawn Lee leaked the possibility of making the music to Bully 2 in the not-so-distant future. I'm very excited to learn what new features and modern shenanigans this possible game would include, too.
Rebel
I think they could really pull off Bully 2. I thought the first was amazing and will always be one of my most favourite games ever. I think they could pad out the storyline though hell maybe even throw it into the college days rather than a private high school, I think that would bring a new element. I really liked the fact that once you unlocked something, or had gone through a part of the story/classes you'd end up with a little memento in your room. I also loved the fact that you had a bunch of clothes to dress up in, but that's probably the female in me.
Mr.Mister
Id rather have Bully 2 first before GTAV Cant wait!
Xboxless
I also loved the fact that you had a bunch of clothes to dress up in, but that's probably the female in me. Nope. I spent quite a bit of time perfecting an outfit in the first one. I looked totally rad. Pretty much what everybody else said, this game has a special place in the games I have played. It really was a great experience.
Forty
I did like to play around with the clothing in Bully, I have to admit.
blitz
Am I the only one that doesn't want to see Jimmy Hopkins come back? I mean, after he became king of the school and defeated Gary it was enough of him. I think that a new kid should chime in, of course, in the same old Bullworth and perhaps a few years later. I'd also like to see more cliques and students, the bigger the variety the better. More features, too. God, I'm getting all excited inside. Oh, and about the clothing, yeah, I too spent hours trying to create the perfect Jimmy. My favorite store is probably The Final Cut.

He seemed to be done with his personal achievements, since he beat up everyone who was "bad" in the school. I bought Bully back in 2006, right after its releasing. In my honest opinion, it was better than gta back on the time, since it has got several new features and better graphics, making it an awesome game for its time. Anyhow, it had some down points, such as: short storyline, map was quite badly developed in some areas (like near the pier where you get a new safehouse, there were some holes where you could fall into a pink water), Jimmy was bad after all (bad personality). Whatever, I miss this game and I have hopes for the V2 being even better. I liked to customize Jimmy as well, the best hairstyle for me was the blue spiked hair, and leather jacket with tattered jeans. However he never seemed at least handsome, because he looks a bit like Wayne Rooney, making things like this harder.

I never thought about that but it's so true. Agreed about the map being spotty in places. The school could have benefited from being larger as well, with more buildings and maybe a few basements and back hallways to creep around in. Having more students and more variety of students is also expected. I really enjoyed the yearbook activity, taking photos of all the kids, but to be honest I did it really fast with little to no trouble. I had no issue finding everyone. After that, though, there wasn't much else to collect.
blitz
Thanks to Geography I managed to locate pretty much every collectible. It was extremely easy for me to reach 100%, and once you've done that the game gets pretty boring. I did play it from time to time, messed with the jocks and nerds, did a couple of errands and all, too. I eventually re-started the game, then repeated the process and after the 8th time it does get boring fast. It was still an amazing game, though. And yes, I do think he looks a tad bit like Wayne Rooney, too! I know I didn't choose the best pictures, but oh well.
