Congratulations to last week's winners, ska and DneroJohnson, who created these AMAZING signatures, respectively. The top 3 results were: 1. DneroJohnson 19 pts 1. ska 19 pts 2. Rokas 16 pts 3. Robinski 12 pts For those that haven't heard, SOTW is a weekly competition where GTAF artists create signatures following a specific theme, and then the community votes on the winner. The victor receives bragging rights for that week, and a pile of dirty socks. The theme this week is: Patriotism The deadline for entry is Friday, November 25th. Robinski Posted November 25, 2011 Share Posted November 25, 2011 Some of the greatest art of the last century's been centered around patriotism, usually about wars and the like but even the events of he last ten years have produced some pretty visually stunning things. I might not agree with the message wholesale, but I've seen plenty of pro-US stuff in the wake of 9/11 that's absolutely beautiful. That said, if I don't get a good feeling of inspiration from the theme I'll usually pass. That's not a knock on the themes I haven't participated in, they just don't give me that spark. I won't be participating for the foreseeable future anyway. School work and some personal stuff happened that means I'm left a bit wanting for graphics technologies. Also, I'm getting low on ideas for themes. It would really help if you could suggest a few. @ska- I wouldn't mind that. The only problem is if they aren't available, then it'll fall to someone else (probably me). But we can try that this week, and see how it works. I know I definitely feel more motivated when I'm not the one coming up with the theme. @vertical- 1. I guess it's up to the winner of this week, since next is the 25th. 2. Right now.
