grope_4_that_date
(Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake) FMPsychedelic Rock Only Introduction: As you're well aware, Ogden Nut Gone Flake has been confirmed to be in the trailer. Therefore, we're going to get a radio station including that song - most likely Psychedelic rock. I thought it would be interesting to try to find the rest of the songs in that radio station. Basically, imagine after GTA4 we started a "Pruit Igoe" thread - trying to find out the rest of the songs to the station "The Journey." Rules (to increase our odds!): 1. Only post songs that are between 1964-1970. 2. Avoid the 'one hit wonders' and popular songs. 3. Post singles - the majority of songs featured in GTA5 are released singles. 4. Only Post Psychedelic rock or it's roots 5. Instrumental tracks might be better. 6. Pick songs with a cowbell. Rockstar loves songs with a lot of cowbell. Tracklist: Donovan - Season Of The Witch Posted by John The Grudge. Quicksilver Messenger Service - The Truth Posted by grope_4_that_date. Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit Posted by GourangaMaster. Ezy Rider - The Jimi Hendrix Experience Posted by mantis117. Grateful Dead - Sugar Magnolia Posted by krammkracker. King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King Posted by zeppelincheetah. The Mamas And The Papas - California Dreaming Posted by Slamman. The Chocolate Watchband - Dark Side Of The Mushroom Posted by grope_4_that_date. The Doors- The End Posted by Dale Nixon. The following songs are from the movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: Which I believe will play a big part in this station. The Hollyridge Strings - Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Somebody To Love - Jefferson Airplane Time Is Tight - Booker T. & The MGs ---------------------- Posting Youtube Videos 1. You need the code for the video, which is everything after the equal sign in the Youtube link. (For example: ww.youtube.cm/watch?v=dpJ0vJ8gLSs 2. Post it in between the following: 3. GourangaMaster
I love the idea of a 70's rock station. Love music from that era in particular psych.. Always thought this song is a msterpice and I would LOVE to hear it on this game. Not to mention i think the lyrics and feel of the track just would be perfect to cruise through los santos. Driving on a dark night through the desert, city lights in the distance. Edited November 11, 2011 by GourangaMaster

GourangaMaster
I really feel Led Zeppelin's gonna be in this one. I dont know man. Led in this would be great but that is some massive monster royalties for them if they want to use their songs.
mantis117
It was released on March 5th 1971. Sorry but it's really an amazing song, i think it would fit the game perfectly.
GourangaMaster
As well know as this song It would blow my brain hole to be cruising slowly through the desert in a beat up cadillac stalking peds who may be foolish enough to cross my path. the sean
Australian psychedelic-rock bands Tame Impala and Pond. Bit of trivia: two members of Tame Impala are in Pond, and Tame Impala won an award last year for best Australian album of 2010. And you can't go past Cream. EDIT: whoops just realised that a rule is that you can't post bands that aren't from the 60s. Discard the 'Tame Impala' and 'Pond' from the voting but I'll still leave them here for anyone who loves psychedelic rock cos they are really great bands. [enforcA]
List of posted songs, that are not available in Germany (because of GEMA rights): (i don't know if R* typically pays the GEMA to use these GEMA protected songs/artists, if not, this would be a problem finding these songs in-game, since German is one of the major languages of the EU version of the game) Jimi Hendrix - Ezy rider "White Rabbit"-Jefferson Airplane Any Colour You Like The Dark Side Of The Moon Cream - Swlabr Steppenwolf - Magic Carpet Ride Jefferson Airplane - Somebody to love Ten years after - I'd love to change to world The Beatles-I am the Walrus The Beatles- Tomorrow Never Knows third bardo - five years ahead The Beatles - Rain Byrds - Eight miles high 1966 TOMORROW- Revolution WARS OR HANDS OF TIME (1966) by The Masters Apprentices Jimi Hendrix - 1983... (A Merman I Should Turn to Be) (1968 Vinyl Rip) continued from page 2 listings: The United States Of America - 02 - Hard Coming Love Pink Floyd - Let There Be More Light Pink Floyd - Interstellar Overdrive (ps.: the GEMA is a really bad thing in germany, it's just a piece of dirty money making rip-off, the "protected" song artists have to pay to get "protected" and what they get out of the GEMA when someone buys the artists' song rights is nearly nothing) Edited November 11, 2011 by [enforcA]
Triple Penetration
Pink Floyd (even though they're mostly progressive rock) Led Zeppelin The Doors And other band songs would be just space fillers to make it feel like a real radio station. And of course, A radio DJ who is crazier than the one in SF-UR from GTA SA.

GreatGig
I love the idea of having this kind of station. Cruising through the countryside and along the mountains to this music would be amazing. Although I fear that some of these songs may be too long. Then again, if you like the genre you probably don't mind the length of these songs. @ SPAS_12: Is there a reason as to why you doubt the inclusion of this type of station? SPAS_12
@ SPAS_12: Is there a reason as to why you doubt the inclusion of this type of station? Because I think if R* will make a rock radio station with songs from that era, it will focus on more types of rock then psychedelic rock, but who knows. And if they'll make a radio station for this, I'm sure that some songs from this compilation album will be in it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuggets:_Orig...65%E2%80%931968 EDIT: This one also probably: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuggets_II:_O...yond,_1964-1969 Edited November 11, 2011 by SPAS_12

Sorry, I did quite get the gist A station with tracks from that album would be brilliant. I often stream music to my console so I have a kind of "Independence FM" thing going on which works out rather well. I miss out on the radio commercials but being almost deaf (in terms of hearing speech) I don't understand them anyway lol. Cheers for pointing out that album too, there's some songs I've not heard on there so I'm going to check them out
the nameless
1971, but what the hell The Doors - Riders on the Storm Black Sabbath - Planet Caravan - 1970 Pink Floyd - See Emily Play - 1967 The first 2 a major trip out songs, planet caravan was described by Sabbath as a love song through the solar system (how much more trippy can you get?) and see emily play kinda speaks for itself in terms of psychodelic music.
