you need a new system... period, to entertain any other idea is cheap lunacy. boy it runs gta sa at max? well of course that game is really old, like your computer. tell us your budget and well help you to build a new one.

Your Processor is below minimum, as the minimum for AMD's are 2.4GHZ+ AND your Video card is not good at all for this game, as it is a Office/student card and not good for newer games...

You CANNOT compare IV's performance with SA's, as IV is A LOT more processor and video card intensive than the previous GTA's for PC, as I have confirmed that, since my XP Pro AND other Windows 7 machine can Max. out SA, but one cannot run IV and the other is only like 10fps with IV on all low settings...

So, as SlaveZero said, you pretty much need a new system in order to run IV optimally.

The SA thing was a joke. Well when I have enough money I will come back and get some help. Thanks for the tips.

As for building one- What am I looking at to maybe play something like GTA V or GTA IV with Icenhancer - 2-4k? $$$

IMHO the CPU could do if you overclock is. the GPU is definitely a problem and it needs replacing. Getting HD6750/HD6770 sounds reasonable.

GPU upgrade and CPU OC should keep this rig "alive" for some more time, if your expectations aren't too high. wink.gif

orly.gif this is why i had to set this machine up again, i leave it disconnected cause it doesn't like kvm devil.gif

op, you could get another video card, but it has to be the right one.

on, second thought, i think 9500gt has same shaders as 8600gt, so try these settings

That's almost the exact same PC he has - since 9500GT is simply 8600GT - just like the 5670 and the 6670.
