Is it possible to do this with the manual cut with a level of transparency applied? LA is smack dab in the middle. This does not mean anything. It doesnt even fit. ajcr Posted November 6, 2011 Share Posted November 6, 2011 I think it does fit over the map quite well, unfortunately, I really do hope that GTAV has all of San Andreas though. I feel as though if it is set only in Los Santos then they should of picked an entirely new place and not an area we as players of GTA are already familiar with. I understand the whole 'Multiple Universes of GTA' BS but I really do feel like they'd almost be cheating us out of the other two cities, those combined with LS was what made SA THAT good, if they're gonna bring us a shiny HD LS (which is still being set in SA) then wft R*, you should of brought us the rest of it too! Im really holding out hope that the next trailer will include a glorious shot of the golden gates bridge or something. Another thing thats been on my mind, if its set in one area then at some point there would have to be some highway that would eventually lead to the other places in SA but be constantly blocked, that would drive me insane. I believe you're looking into it way too much. Rockstar wanted to tease us... they wrote "Good Bye Liberty City, Next Stop:" and then they made it look like the paper had been ripped apart, just so we couldn't read where the Next Stop was... The image behind it was (is) simply another texture that could look like something from the next page in a book (or a prevous poster on a billboard). It was a clue and I am suprised it took this long for detectives to figure it out. You have to remember the map is of Los Santos not Los Angeles so it will not fit the real L.A exactly but im sure it will fit Los Santos map perfectly. I don't think this indicates how big the map will be. If any of you remember True Crime: Streets of LA (a GTA clone that left much to be desired), it was a street-by-street re-creation of Los Angeles. That PS2 game had 250 square miles of LA, stretching from Venice Beach to Pacific Palisades/Hollywood north-south, and just a little past downtown Los Angeles to the east.
