is that spider real? it looks a little fake. also thats a f*cking huge red back for an animal that doesnt get bigger then a 20 cent piece usually.

if it is real it is one scary red back. imagine finding that thing under your toilet!!!!!!!!!!

the photo is a bit deceptive. i think the snake is actually quite small and it seems to be a close up shot, making everything look bigger. you can kind of tell by looking at the sticker near the bottom right on the fire extinguisher

I see Jacqui Lambie is starting her own party now, the Jacqui Lambie Network. Does she honestly believe that anyone actually voted for her and not Clive Palmer?

The main focus of the party is going to be "Stopping Sharia Law" which we sounds totally necessary considering Muslims make up only about 2% of the population (and even the majority of muslims dont want sharia law) . I think im gonna take a page out of her book and start a party to "Stop Tiger Attacks"

Speaking of political carcasses, Clive Palmer will be lucky to get one senator in at the next election. They're making parliament about as fractious as America's Congress - it's good from a checks and balances perspective, but when you're a moderate yet partisan voter who craves for a lil political monopolisation (:devil::devil::devil:) it can be rather annoying

Funnily enough my boss commented on what I was wearing yesterday and said that I was "going for the Richie Benaud look" (white business shirt with beige chinos). Interdasting coincidence

RIP

I seriously only found out when the tribute vids were being posted on YT.

Got pretty emotional when watching them. Richie was the bomb.

The commentry box has never been the same since he retired a few years back

RIP

Man, I knew it was coming but it is still really sad. He also provided commentary for Cricket 07 (EA's last cricket game). At least he got to see Australia win the World Cup.

R.I.P. :(

I see you've called yourself BrownBear in what im assuming is an attempt to protect yourself from the drop bears. I dont think it will work mate, those things are known to practice cannibalism if they cant find any backpackers to prey on . There's a reason the government runs safety campaigns such as this:

Dont worry too much though, just put a bit of vegemite behind your ear and you'll be fine.

Well thank f*ck for that . Power went off 6am yesterday and just came back on. Some of the craziest weather we've seen in the Hunter Valley. Stay safe everyone who's been affected,

The first thing I thought of was the June 2007 Storm. Woke up early yesterday morning and it felt like the whole roof of the house was going to get pealed off like a tin can.

Scary sh*t.

Power still hasn't come back, which really sucks

Mine came back on at 8:25 this morning, been busting for a warm shower too since the power was out and it was too freezing to think about taking one.

Power outage was 2 days (Went out Tuesday morning 6AM for me)

Other area's are still without power and water through and I've seen some nasty tree branches hanging upside down in the power lines.

As I live in Newcastle, I felt a lot of the storm.

I was woken at about 3:00AM on Tuesday to my house shaking a little bit, I was not worried since it's made of bricks, at about 7:30AM my mother came into my room and informed me that I was not going to TAFE that day, nor was my sister going to school, and I was to watch her, and then at about 10:30AM, my step father got home reporting to me that his work was flooding with their lights flickering, my Mother also returned from work early at about 2:30PM telling me that her work had lost power and her job sucked too much power from the backup generators and warned me that we may lose power any second as much of the city was already without it, we finally lost power at about 6:30PM, we were lucky to have it as long as we did, as much of the city lost theirs before we did.

The next morning, the storm appeared to be over so I went on a bike ride to see if the nearby bowling club was open, on the way I saw that the pond my sister usually plays at looked like a bomb hit it and a nearby house had a tree leaning on it, the people living there were lucky there house was not damaged, on the way I found the footpath blocked by a fallen tree, and then I saw that Lake Macquaire had broken it's banks but the water was lower than it must of been over night because I found a wish washed further away from the lake, right up to the bowling club, despite this, the bowling club was open, but we still decided to drive somewhere else, we went to a hotel in Belmont which was out of power but surprisingly still serving drinks.

My mother said that someone she knew worked with Ausgrid of something like that told her that we were not meant to get power until Friday, but thanks to living near a hospital, our power was restored about 3:45PM yesterday afternoon, right after lighting the candles (it was already getting dark).

I got lucky, but I know there are people out there who have lost their homes, possessions, and for some, sadly their loved ones, may God be with them.

EDIT: Despite the advice given, my poor friend had to work at Coles Tuesday night.
